Ilsan New Town (Korean: 일산신도시) refers to a planned city occupying Ilsandong-gu and Ilsanseo-gu of Goyang. Ilsan is located northwest of Seoul. Like other satellite cities in the Seoul National Capital Area such as Bundang, Ilsan was planned in order to alleviate housing shortages in the city of Seoul. Ilsan has experienced phenomenal growth since 1992, usually drawing in younger generations of upper-middle-class and upper-class Koreans.

Goyang Gymnasium (Korean: 고양체육관), also known as Goyang Indoor Stadium or Goyang Sono Arena due to sponsorship reasons, is an indoor sporting arena. It is part of Goyang Sports Complex, located in Goyang, South Korea. The capacity of the arena is 6,216 for basketball matches. Goyang Sono Skygunners of the Korean Basketball League are the tenants. The venue hosted fencing at the 2014 Asian Games.

Daehwa Station (Station 309; Korean: 대화역) is an underground metro station on the Seoul Subway Line 3, operating as an extension of Line 3 of the Seoul Subway, in Daehwa-dong, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, South Korea. The station is Line 3's northwestern terminus and its 6 exits offer access to, among other places, KINTEX (750 m from Exit 1). Travel time from Daehwa to Seoul Station, changing to Line 1 at Jongno 3(sam)-ga, is 1 hour and 2 minutes, while traveling the full length of Line 3 to Ogeum takes 1 hour and 36 minutes.

Goyang Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Goyang, South Korea used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Goyang Zaicro FC of the K League Challenge from 2013-16. The seating capacity is 41,311 and construction was completed in 2003. It is occasionally used for matches of the South Korea national football team.

Goyang National Baseball Training Stadium (Korean: 고양 국가대표 야구훈련장) is a baseball stadium in Goyang, South Korea. The stadium is used by the Goyang Dinos of the KBO Futures League. The construction started on December 8, 2009, and was finished on August 8, 2011. It is also a temporary home stadium and club training center for Goyang Dinos.It is also used as a training ground for the national baseball team of Korea. From 2012 to 2014, it was used as the home stadium of the first independent baseball team in Korea and the training ground for the club.

Juyeop Station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 3 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.The name Juyeop is derived from the story that when the village was viewed from the top of the nearby mountain, the topography of the entire village was shaped like a leaf(엽;葉 meaning leaf), and the word Ju(주;注 meaning pour/flow) came from the story of a large leaf flowing down the creek in the middle of village during Autumn.

Ilsan Lake Park (Korean: 일산 호수공원; RR: Ilsan Hosu Gongwon) is a city park in Janghang-dong, Ilsan-gu district, Goyang city, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea.

The Goyang International Flower Festival (Korean: 고양 국제 꽃박람회; RR: Goyang Gukje Kkotbangamhoe) is one of the largest flower festivals in South Korea and takes place in the city of Goyang. It attracts many visitors annually. The festival is held in a metropolitan area and serves as a model for local culture festivals, in which some foreign flower farmers participate.During the festival, flower events and cultural performances are held, and visitors can buy flowers from all over the world, which helps promote the domestic flower industry.In 2015, the festival was held from 24 April to 10 May at Ilsan Lake Park. The 2015 festival was the largest to that date, consisting of 25 national pavilions, 120 companies from 35 countries, and 200 domestic companies. The exhibition occupied 150,000 square metres (1,600,000 sq ft); it was organized by the Goyang International Flower Foundation.

Ilsan Station is a station on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line. It is the oldest station in the city of Goyang, South Korea. The old station – built in 1933, while under Japanese rule – was designated as a national cultural asset in 2006.

Jeongbalsan is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. It is named after a large park of the same name, adjacent to the northeastern side of the station. On the other side of the park lies the National Cancer Center of Korea. The District Office of Ilsandong-gu is located outside Exit 4.

Tanhyeon Station is a railway station on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line.

Madu Station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 3 in Goyang, South Korea. It is located not too far from an E-Mart. It is close to Western Dom shopping and restaurants.
