Mykawa ( mi-KAH-wə) is an area within Houston, Texas, United States that was formerly a distinct unincorporated community in Harris County.

Pearland ( PEAR-land) is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within Brazoria County, with portions extending into Fort Bend and Harris counties. The city of Pearland is a principal city within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan statistical area. At the 2020 U.S. census, the city's population was 125,828, up from a population of 91,252 at the 2010 census. Pearland's population growth rate from 2000 to 2010 was 142 percent, which ranked Pearland as the 15th-fastest-growing city in the U.S. during that time period, compared to other cities with a population of 10,000 or greater in 2000. Pearland is the third-largest city in the Greater Houston area after Houston and Pasadena, Texas.

Glenda Dawson High School (DHS) is a public high school in Pearland, Texas, United States. It is a part of the Pearland Independent School District serving grades 9 through 12. In 2014, the school was awarded a national rank of 1,165th by U.S. News & World Report, which puts it in the silver medal category. U.S. News & World Report ranks it 106th in Texas and 895th nationally. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Ross Shaw Sterling High School, also known as Sterling Aviation High School, is a secondary school located in Houston, Texas. Sterling, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Houston Independent School District. The school was named after Ross S. Sterling. Sterling has Houston ISD's magnet program for Aviation Sciences.

J. Frank Dobie High School is a public secondary school located in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1968, it is named after the Texas writer of the same name. It houses grades 10-12. A Ninth Grade Center was opened recently to help with the influx of students. It is the largest school in the Pasadena Independent School District. The school mascots are the Longhorns and the official colors are orange and black, similar to that of the University of Texas at Austin. Dobie High School was originally located at 11111 Beamer Rd. However, overcrowding problems at the Beamer campus and the rapidly growing population in the South Belt area led city officials and voters to pass a $199.05 million bond in February 2000. This included a new 490,000-square-foot (46,000 m2) location to be built at 10220 Blackhawk Blvd which opened in 2003.The original Beamer location is now occupied by Beverly Hills Intermediate School.

Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School (CTHS) is a secondary school in Houston, Texas. The school offers over twenty different specialized programs to 1,400 students coming from Pasadena Independent School District (PISD) intermediate and high schools. Many of these programs provide industry-recognised certifications. The school has stated that it intends to prepare students both for college after graduation and/or for their immediate entry into the workforce.

The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is a museum located in Houston, Texas, United States, at William P. Hobby Airport. Collections are housed in the original art deco building which served as the first purpose-built terminal for passenger flight in Houston. The museum currently exhibits several collections focusing on Houston's civil aviation history and is operated by the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society (HAHS), a recognized Texas 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Bay Ridge Christian College is an unaccredited, historically black college located in unincorporated Fort Bend County, Texas, United States, north of Kendleton and west of Beasley. William P. Hobby Airport (IATA: HOU, ICAO: KHOU, FAA LID: HOU) (colloquially referred to as Hobby Airport, Houston Hobby, or simply Hobby) is an international airport in Houston, Texas, located 7 miles (11 km) from downtown Houston. Hobby is Houston's oldest commercial airport, and was its primary airport until the Houston Intercontinental Airport, now known as the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, opened in 1969. Hobby was initially closed after the opening of Houston Intercontinental; however, it was re-opened after several years, and became a secondary airport for domestic airline service, and a center for corporate and private aviation. Houston Hobby is an operating base for Southwest Airlines, which has international and domestic flights from HOU, and carries the vast majority of its passengers. As of December 2017, Houston Hobby is the fifth largest airport in Southwest's network. Southwest opened its first international terminal at Houston Hobby, and began service from Houston Hobby to Mexico and Central and South America on October 15, 2015.The William P. Hobby Airport covers 1,304 acres (528 ha), and has three runways. Its original art deco terminal building, the first passenger airline terminal in Houston, now houses the 1940 Air Terminal Museum. Hobby became the first 5-Star Airport in North America by Skytrax in 2022.

Pearland High School (PHS) is an American public high school, located in Pearland, Texas, south of Houston. It is one of three high schools in the Pearland Independent School District, and serves parts of Pearland and most of the city of Brookside Village. U.S. News & World Report ranks it 242nd in Texas and 2,689th nationally. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Pearland Stadium (nicknamed The Rig when Pearland is home and The Nest when Dawson is home) is an American multi-use stadium in Pearland, Texas (near Houston). The 12,000-capacity stadium is on the campus of Pearland High School and serves as home to the school's football, soccer, and track and field teams. It also serves as home to the Dawson High School Eagles football team. In addition, it is home to the Houston Energy, a team in the Independent Women's Football League, who used to play at Houston's Astrodome stadium. The stadium is nicknamed The Rig after oil rigs as oil is a large part of the Texas economy. It is also nicknamed The Nest after the Dawson Eagles.
