Namyeong station

Camp Kim is a military facility located adjacent to Yongsan Garrison in Seoul, South Korea. Camp Kim is home to a USO facility, an Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) distribution and storage facility, an AAFES vehicle repair facility, the Special Operations Command Korea, and the Yongsan Garrison office for vehicle registration and decals. The USO facility consists of a canteen, tour and ticket office, the Virtues Development Program, the Good Neighbor Program, a big screen television lounge. The Virtues Development Program and the Good Neighbor Program are both Community Outreach Programs designed to promote cross-cultural understanding through English education for Korean school-age children. As of November 2018, it is in the process of being closed and being converted into a park.

Sookmyung Women's University Station is subway station 427, on the Seoul Subway Line 4 in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It is also called Garwol station (갈월역). It is located in front of the main entrance of the Sookmyung Women's University. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood of the subway station. Though not connected by transfer, Sookmyung Women's University Station is only a two- to three-minute walk from Namyeong station on Line 1.

Samgakji Station is a subway station on the Line 4 and Line 6 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. The Seoul War Memorial is a short walk away from exits 11 and 12. This station is on the west end of the Yongsan Garrison, which is a short walk from exit 13. Although not connected to this station by a transfer passageway, Namyeong station on Line 1 is a short walk from here. The Samgakji area was made famous in Korea because of a 1967 song by Bae Ho titled "Return to Samgakji." A statue dedicated to the song was erected in front of the station.Line 4 is a relative platform with two sides and two sides, while Line 6 is equipped with two island platforms with two front and two island platforms, both of which have screen doors installed on the platform. In the case of Line 4, it was possible to cross the other side through the transit passage, but it has recently been changed to cross. There are 14 exits.

Yongsan District (Korean: 용산구, romanized: Yongsan-gu, [jo̞ŋsʰa̠n ku]) is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, South Korea. Yongsan has a population of 231,685 (2020) and has a geographic area of 21.87 km2 (8.44 sq mi), and is divided into 19 dong (administrative neighborhoods). Yongsan is located in central Seoul on the northern bank of the Han River, bordering the city districts of Jung to the north, Mapo to the west, Yeongdeungpo and Dongjak to the southwest, Seocho and Gangnam District to the southeast, and Seongdong to the east.

Camp Coiner is a former 55-acre (220,000 m2) United States Forces Korea installation located on the northern part of Yongsan Garrison located in Seoul, South Korea. It was named after 2nd Lieutenant Randall Coiner assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment of the 7th Infantry Division who was posthumously awarded the Silver Star for actions taken in 1953 during the Korean War near the village of Sokkagae. Camp Coiner is located within the Yongsan-gu district of Seoul. East of the camp is the commercial district of Itaewon, with westernized shopping and nightlife. To the west of Yongsan is the Samgakji subway station and Yongsan Electronics Market. Prior to the US military taking control of the camp from the Imperial Japanese Army, Camp Coiner was used as a garrison for a horse drawn artillery units. Currently closed as a result of the US Forces Korea base consolidation, Camp Coiner was once home to: - Headquarters and elements, 8th Personnel Command - elements of 8th MP Brigade - HHC, 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation - HHC, 4th Battalion, 58th Aviation - elements of 1st Signal Brigade - Headquarters, Contracting Command - Korea - Eighth Army Reception Center - Morning Calm Dining Facility - Headquarters, ROK Army Support Group - Headquarters, 24th Korean Service Corps - numerous unit Enlisted barracks, Bachelor Officer Quarters, and unit motor pools

The War Memorial of Korea is a museum located in Yongsan-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It opened in 1994 on the former site of the army headquarters to exhibit and memorialize the military history of Korea. It was built for the purpose of preventing war through lessons from the Korean War and for the hoped for peaceful reunification of North and South Korea. The memorial building has six indoor exhibition rooms and an outdoor exhibition centre displaying war memorabilia and military equipment from China, South Korea and the United States.

The Statue of Brothers (Korean: 형제의 상; RR: Hyeongje-ui sang) is a symbol of the Korean War at the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul. Its English text reads as follows : "The Statue of Brothers is an 18 meter wide and 11-meter high symbol of the Korean War. It consists of the upper part, lower part and inner part. The upper part of the statue depicts a scene where a family's older brother, an ROK officer, and his younger brother, a North Korean soldier, meet in a battlefield and express reconciliation, love, and forgiveness. The lower tomb-shaped dome was built with pieces of granite collected from nationwide locations symbolizing the sacrifices made by our patriots. The crack in the dome stands for the division of Korea and the hope for reunification. Objects inside the dome include a mosaic wall painting that expresses the spirit of the Korean people to overcome the national tragedy and a map plate of the 16 UN Allied Nations that dispatched troops to the war. The links of iron chain on the ceiling signify the unbreakable bonds of a unified Korea."The statue is located in the south-west corner of the exterior exhibit area.

USS Erben (DD-631), a Fletcher-class destroyer, was a ship of the United States Navy named for Rear Admiral Henry Erben (1832–1909). Erben (DD-631) was launched 21 March 1943 by Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine; sponsored by Mrs. C. B. G. Gaillard, daughter of Rear Admiral Erben; and commissioned 28 May 1943.

Sookmyung Women’s University (Korean: 숙명여자대학교; Hanja: 淑明女子大學校) is a private university in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 1906, Sookmyung is Korea’s first royal private educational institution for women. The university's name is derived from Hanja characters of sook and myung, which mean "elegant" and "bright" respectively. With its more than a century-long legacy and history, Sookmyung is renowned as one of the best women's universities nationwide. According to JoongAng Daily's 2018 university rankings, it has been ranked as the second-best women's university in Korea and is ranked nr. 20 on South Korea's list of best universities. Sookmyung Women's University has distinguished alumni in media, journalism, politics, governments, and academia. It has a highly acclaimed ROTC program. In 2009, The Republic of Korea's Defense Ministry chose Sookmyung Women's University as South Korea's first university to operate a Reserve Officers' Training Corps program for women. In addition, Sookmyung's ROTC program has been evaluated as the highest ranking ROTC program for women in the 2012 national military training exercises. Sookmyung Hospitality Business School has been recognized for its excellence by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology since 2007. Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality MBA course, which has a partnership with Le Cordon Bleu, specializes in educating women for future roles in hospitality industries such as Hotel/Restaurant (H1), Travel/ Transportation (H2), Culture/Entertainment/Sports/Hospital (H3), and Service Management (H4).

The Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum, founded by Dr. Young Yang Chung in Seoul, is an exhibition, educational, and research facility dedicated to advancing the knowledge and appreciation of embroidery and textile arts. Inaugurated in May 2004 by Sookmyung Women's University. It was closed for renovation in December 2017. It is expected to reopen in September 2019.Its exhibits are not limited to Korean embroidery; there are also items from other areas in East Asia (notably Chinese embroidery on imperial robes) and elsewhere.
