Yakub Kolas Square

Ploshcha Yakuba Kolasa (Belarusian: Плошча Якуба Коласа; Russian: Площадь Якуба Коласа) is a Minsk Metro station. Opened on June 24, 1984. Station was named after Belarusian writer Yakub Kolas, and literally means Square of Yakub Kolas.

Independence Avenue (Belarusian: праспект Незалежнасці, Russian: проспект Независимости) (Praspiekt Niezaliežnasci) is the main street of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Independence Avenue crosses Minsk radially from its centre towards the North-East. Length of the avenue is about 15 km (9.3 mi).

Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU; Belarusian: Мінскі дзяржаўны лінгвістычны універсітэт, romanized: Minski dziaržaŭny linhvistyčny univiersitet, МДЛУ) is a public university in Minsk, Belarus. It specializes in language education and offers courses in 18 foreign languages including English, German, French, Spanish, etc., as well as training teachers of Russian and Belarusian as foreign languages. It was founded in 1948 as Minsk State Pedagogical Institute for Foreign Languages and today is considered the flagship university in Belarus for language education and translator training.In addition to degree programs and continuous education courses aimed at local students, MSLU also offers both short courses and degree programs for foreign nationals, mainly focusing on the Russian language. The university maintains ties with institutions abroad, including exchange programs for students and faculty.

Victory Square (Belarusian: Пло́шча Перамо́гі, Russian: Пло́щадь Побе́ды) is a square in Minsk, Belarus, located at the crossing of Independence Avenue and Zakharau Street. The square is located in the historic centre of Minsk with the Museum of the 1st Congress of RSDLP, the main offices of National State TV and Radio and the City House of Marriages nearby. A green park stretches from Victory Square to the Svislach River and to the entrance to Gorky Park. Victory Square is the key landmark of Minsk, and holiday parades go through the square, while newlyweds traditionally take their picture at the square.

Minsk Radioengineering College (Belarusian: Мі́нскі Радыётэхні́чны Кале́дж, Mínski Radyjotechníčny Kaliédž, Russian: Минский Радиотехнический колледж, Minskiy Radiotekhnicheskiy kolledzh) is an educational Institution of the Republic of Belarus. Training with secondary special education on the basis of basic education.

The Ў Gallery (Y Gallery) ([Галерэя Ў] Error: {{Langx}}: transliteration text not Latin script (pos 10) (help)) was an art gallery of contemporary art located in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The Gallery Ў consised of the exhibition space, wine bar Ў, design-shop and Literary House Logvinov.

The Minsk TV tower is a TV tower located in Minsk, Belarus. It is a recognizable landmark of the capital city located near the Victory Square, Minsk.Its initial height was about 200m, however in July 1976 its top part of 40m was cut off and replaced with a platform with eight antennas. The new height is 170m. This reconstruction was done to the fact that the main TV/radio broadcasting functions were passed to the newly built 350metre tall Kolodischi TV Mast some 15 km off Minsk. The new design was to support radiotelephone communications network.

The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, also known as BSUIR (Belarusian: Беларускі дзяржаўны ўніверсітэт інфарматыкі і радыёэлектронікі), is a public Higher Education Institution accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Nowadays it is a large educational and scientific complex in Minsk, Belarus. BSUIR was founded on March 15, 1964, and plays a leading role in preparing its students in the fields of computer science, radioelectronics and telecommunications in Belarus. Over 50,000 engineers and 1,000 PhD and DScs, successfully working in the most science-intensive fields of the Belarus economy, have graduated from the university. BSUIR employs 2 academicians and 2 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 301 Professors, and 317 Doctors of Science. Circa 17,000 students are taking courses out of 108 degree and non-degree programs; over 500 are foreign students. The University is made of 10 faculties, 38 chairs; Institute for Professional Development and Retraining of Top Managers and Specialists in Information Technologies and Radioelectronicsing (Institute of Information Technologies); R&D Unit. Educational process is supported by: 27 branches of academic departments at enterprises; 176 educational and research labs; 33 joint educational, research and production labs; 8 certified educational centres established in cooperation with such world leading companies as Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, National Instruments, INTES, SAP, NVIDIA, Forte Knowledge.

It is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
