Sawel Mountain

Dart Mountain (from Irish: An Dairt, meaning "The Lump"), on the boundary between County Londonderry and County Tyrone, is the second highest peak in the Sperrin Mountains in Northern Ireland. The summit is 619 metres (2,031 ft) high. It is the 3511th highest peak in the British Isles and the 246th tallest in Ireland.

The River Moyola or Moyola River (Irish: Abhainn na Scríne) stretches for approximately 27 miles from the Sperrin Mountains to Lough Neagh. The Moyola starts a small river (3-5 metres; 10' to 16') for the first few miles of its length and proceeds to expand to a medium-sized river (5-20 metres; 16' to 65') and then to a large river (20 metres +; 65' plus) for its last couple of miles before Lough Neagh. In ancient times, the River Moyola was known as the 'Bior', and served as the border between the Airgiallan kingdoms of Fir Li and Ui Tuirtri. According to Deirdre and Laurence Flanagan in their book, Irish Place Names, the River Moyola derives its name from Magh nÉola, meaning Éolas Plain.

The Sperrins or Sperrin Mountains (Irish: Sliabh Speirín) are a mountain range in Northern Ireland. The range stretches from Strabane and Mullaghcarn in the west, to Slieve Gallion and the Glenshane Pass in the east, in the counties of Tyrone and Londonderry. The landscape is mostly moorland and blanket bog. The region has a population of some 150,000 and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Cranagh (Irish: An Chrannóg) is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is in the Glenelly Valley, about seven miles from Plumbridge. As of the 2001 census, it had a population of 60 people. It is within the Strabane District Council area.

The River Faughan (; Irish: An Fhochaine) is a river in northwest Northern Ireland.

Park is a small village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It sits on the banks of the River Faughan and the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains near the village of Claudy. The village adjoins the 120-hectare Learmount Forest; Learmount Castle is situated in the forest, and has stood for hundreds of years.

Banagher (pronounced BAN-ə-hər, from Irish Beannchar) is a parish in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The parish is made up of the medieval parish of Banagher and parts of the ancient parish of Boveva and the townland of Tireighter and Park, once in the parish of Cumber. Banagher has many ancient monuments, including churches, holy wells, standing stones and chambered graves.

Feeny (from Irish Na Fíneadha 'the woods') is a village and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is between Dungiven and Claudy. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 690. Feeny lies just inside the boundary of the Sperrins Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is situated within Causeway Coast and Glens district.

St Mary's Banagher GAC (Irish: CLG Naomh Mhuire Beannchar) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Feeny / Park area of County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The club is a member of the Derry GAA. Banagher is a dual club and currently caters for Gaelic football, hurling and camogie. The club motto is the Irish Ní neart go misneach, which translates as "No strength like courage". Underage teams up to U-12s play in North Derry league and championships, from U-14 upwards teams compete in All-Derry competitions. The club was formed in 1965, when St Mary's Park and St Joseph's Banagher amalgamated. The club have won the Derry Senior Hurling Championship on three occasions and have been runners up three times in the Derry Senior Football Championship

Aughlish (also Auglish) is a townland and the site of at least six stone circles and two stone rows, in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, 3.6 km from Feeny.

Ballyhanedin is a townland in the civil parish of Banagher in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is located a 3km from the village of Feeny, and is situated within Causeway Coast and Glens district. It lies on the A6 Belfast to Derry road. Although it is only a townland, Ballyhanedin has a boundary sign which shows where it begins.

Mid Londonderry was a county constituency comprising the central part of County Londonderry. It was created in 1929, when the House of Commons (Method of Voting and Redistribution of Seats) Act (Northern Ireland) 1929 introduced first-past-the-post elections throughout Northern Ireland. It was one of five single-member constituencies replacing the former five-member Londonderry constituency. The constituency survived unchanged, returning one member of Parliament until the Parliament of Northern Ireland was temporarily suspended in 1972, and then formally abolished in 1973. The constituency was primarily rural and included areas between Coleraine, Limavady, Derry and Magherafelt. The seat was held until 1969 by Nationalist Party candidates, and was rarely contested.
