Broadwood Stadium is a multi-use community stadium and sports complex in the Westfield area of Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. The stadium is currently the home of Cumbernauld Colts of the Scottish Lowland Football League, as well as Rangers W.F.C of the Scottish Women's Premier League.It was the home stadium of Clyde from 1994 to 2022 and Broomhill for the 2022-23 season, during which the club was rebranded as Open Goal Broomhill. Glasgow City of the Scottish Women's Premier League shared the stadium for the 2020–21 season. The Scottish Rugby Academy for the Glasgow & The West region is based at Broadwood, and it is also home to the Cumbernauld Centurions BMX Club on the National Level BMX track. Broadwood has staged the final of football's Scottish Challenge Cup on four occasions and Scottish rugby's Finals Day. The stadium has also held international Rugby league.

Blackwood is an area in Cumbernauld, a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Construction began during the 1990s. It is located north of Westfield Road, Cumbernauld, towards Kirkintilloch. In a survey in 2000, it was the largest new settlement in Scotland that had not been recognised as a locality in 1991. At the time of the survey, it had a population of 1,470. Since then new housing has been built.Blackwood is near to Broadwood Stadium, which opened in 1994 and is the home of Clyde Football Club, and is north of Broadwood Loch.

St Maurice's High School is a Roman Catholic High School in the new town of Cumbernauld, Scotland. The catchment area serves the west side of Cumbernauld, Condorrat, Eastfield, Croy, Kilsyth and Moodiesburn. They also have young people from Glasgow, Chryston, Muirhead, Balloch, Abronhill, Carrickstone and Westerwood where parents have chosen to send their children to St Maurice's rather than other schools.St. Maurice's has four associated primary schools: Holy Cross Primary, St. Helen's Primary, St. Patrick's Primary and St. Michael's Primary. The students are grouped into five houses for assemblies, registration classes, school award ceremonies and sports days. These are named Benedict, John Paul, Boniface, Innocent and Francis after previous popes.

Smithstone (Scots: Smeeston) is an area of Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. Versions of the name are recorded in the vicinity from the mid fourteenth century onwards. The area was originally a farm and the first Ordnance Survey map shows it as Smithstown. A coal mining and quarrying business had developed in the 19th century and Smithston Row and Smithston Quarry are shown on the map. North Lanarkshire Council sold off the land to developers for housing and it is now anticipated that up to 700 houses will be built in the area. In late 2005 a new road from Smithstone Road to Constarry Road outside Croy, was opened, providing a link to the separate housing estates of the area. Being west of Croy, the area is the closest point of Cumbernauld to Twechar and the Antonine Wall fort at Bar Hill.

Mollinsburn is a settlement in the North Lanarkshire area of Scotland. It is situated on the A80 road between Condorrat to the east and Moodiesburn to the west. The population is around 100. It used to be known as Mollinburn and the stream known as Mollins Burn joins the Luggie Water east of the village.Mollinsburn is south of the Luggie and the M80 and M73 motorways are between the river and the village - the roads converge at that point, resulting in the Mollinsburn name being used frequently in regional traffic reports. There is a Roman fort at Mollins, 4 kilometers south of the Antonine Wall, which was discovered by aerial photography in 1977. The wall passes a few miles north of Mollinsburn, the nearest forts being Croy Hill and Bar Hill. The etymology of the name is a semi-translation of ‘Allt a' Mhuilinn’, meaning "burn of the mill".

Croy railway station serves the village of Croy – as well as the nearby town of Kilsyth and parts of Cumbernauld – in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Located on the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk Line, 11+1⁄2 miles (18.5 km) northeast of Glasgow Queen Street. It is served by services on the Glasgow–Edinburgh mainline and services between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling. Train services are provided by ScotRail.

Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 2005 general election, replacing Cumbernauld and Kilsyth and part of Strathkelvin and Bearsden. The constituency covers the north of the North Lanarkshire council area, and small eastern and northern part of the East Dunbartonshire council area. It is currently represented by Stuart McDonald of the Scottish National Party, who overturned a Labour majority of nearly 14,000 to take 59.9% of the vote in the May 2015 general election. With 38 letters (plus one comma and four spaces), Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East has the longest constituency name in the current Parliament. Under the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies the Boundary Commission for Scotland recommended the constituency to be renamed Cumbernauld and Kirkintilloch, despite the fact that the constituency under the new boundaries still contains Kilsyth and still only covers the eastern half of Kirkintilloch.

Croy is a village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. A former mining community, Croy is situated south of Kilsyth and north of Cumbernauld, some 13 miles (21 km) from Glasgow and 37 miles (60 km) from Edinburgh on the main railway line between the two cities. Croy has a population of about 1,390.Croy railway station is the transport hub for the surrounding area and is one of the busiest stations in the Scottish Central Belt. The station has frequent services seven days a week to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. The station has undergone significant expansion in recent years including extended platforms, increased car parking facilities, and a new station building & ticket office. The line has been electrified as part of the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme.

Condorrat is a former village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Like Luggiebank, Castlecary and Dullatur, it predates the new town of Cumbernauld, but unlike those Condorrat was officially included in the designated new town area. Since then it has officially been part of Cumbernauld although it retains some of its own distinctive character. Dalshannon Farm and cottages were located in the area west of the original town and farm, and north of the Luggie. So also was a corn mill called Wood Mill. Road signs show they are is now in the western part of Condorrat towards Mollinsburn. Condorrat now has many of its own facilities, including a health centre, 3 primary schools and a library.

Balloch () is an area of Cumbernauld, Scotland, located north of the M80 motorway and west of Cumbernauld Town Centre. It is also known as Eastfield or Balloch Eastfield. Nearby neighbourhoods include Smithstone, Westfield and Craigmarloch.

Auchinstarry is a village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, UK, near to Kilsyth. It is the site of a Roman fort. Auchinstarry Basin is on the Forth and Clyde Canal, and a £1.2M regeneration project has created a mooring basin for boats with 56 pontoon berths, a hard standing area for 40 boats, and a customer facilities block, partly funded by British Waterways Scotland. The basin was officially opened in September 2005. The Environment Advisory Service (EAS), a government agency, has implemented a number of sustainability features at Auchinstarry Basin: Deploying recycled materials in all parts of the construction process An innovative pump which draws heat from the canal; it is believed that this is the first such use of canal water in the UK Plans for installing wind turbines, and a new pub which is self-sufficient in its energy needs

Greenfaulds (Scottish Gaelic: A' Bhuaile Ghlas, IPA:[əˈvuələˈɣɫ̪as̪]) is an area of the town of Cumbernauld in Scotland. Greenfaulds was a half council half private estate built in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The main road through the estate is a ring road with the private sector being on the outside of the road and the council side being in the inside. Although originally council houses, a large portion of the housing stock are now privately owned. The road names are associated with Walter Scott.
