Lomma (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈlʊ̂mːa]) is a locality and the seat of Lomma Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden. In 2020 it had 13,772 inhabitants.

Alnarp (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɑ̂ːlnarp]) is a village and university campus in Lomma Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden, lying between Lund and Malmö. The first written mention of Alnarp is from 1325. In 1674 it became the official residence of the governor-general of Scania. In 1862, the existing Alnarp Castle was built to house a new school of agronomy, now part of the Alnarp campus of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Alnarp also housed the headquarters of the NordGen. The park at Alnarp Castle is famous for its great diversity of tree species. The campus area also consist of Alnarp Rehabilitation Garden, where the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences conducts R&D as well as education in horticultural therapy, environmental psychology and landscape architecture, regarding connections between people's stay in nature and garden environments and their health and well-being.

Burlöv Municipality (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈbʉ̌ːɭœv]; Burlövs kommun) is a municipality in Skåne County in South Sweden in southern Sweden, just north of Malmö. Its seat is located in Arlöv, a community which for geographical and statistical purposes is seen as a part of Malmö (Malmö tätort). The municipality is one of only a few in Sweden, and the only one in Scania, which still contains only the original municipal entity created from the old parish in 1863 (cf history of municipalities in Sweden) and has not been amalgamated. It is the second smallest municipality by area in the whole country (after Sundbyberg Municipality).

It has a railway station where the Skåne commuter rail network stops. In 1120 the village was known as Acathorp, from the two words Aki (an Old Danish man's name) and torp. Around the 15th century the name changed to Ågarp, and during the 16th century the name changed to Ågerup. The first record of the name Åkarp is from the year 1770. Composer Lars-Erik Larsson was born in Åkarp in 1908.

The plant is owned by fourteen local authorities in Skåne. In 2008, a fourth unit was built alongside engineering consultancy Ramboll, making it is one of the largest waste-to-energy plants in Northern Europe.
