Slade's Ferry Bridge

Mechanics Mill is an historic cotton textile mill located at 1082 Davol Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. The mill was constructed in 1868 from red brick, in the Italianate style. The mill's octagonal tower originally had a highly decorative top, that has been removed. The mill office was once located in front of the mill along Davol Street, but has also been removed. The Mechanics Mill company was incorporated on May 25, 1868, by a special charter granted by the Massachusetts Legislature. Thomas J. Borden served as the first president and D.H. Dyer was treasurer. Along with the Merchants Mill established in 1867, the Mechanics Mill was formed by a large number of stock holders with small means, beginning a new trend in the development of new corporations in the city. There were initially 328 stockholders, compared to a dozen or so with other mills at the time.The mill was constructed north of the city center, along the waterfront with a tidewater dock to receive coal shipments to feed its boilers. Water for the steam engines was obtained from a well shaft dug nearby. The Mechanics Mill was also one of the first in the city to have a fire sprinkler protection system. In 1929 the Mechanics Mill merged with the nearby Weetamoe Mill, but was soon closed. It was later part of Quaker Fabric Corporation, which closed in 2007.The mill experienced a rebirth in 2012 as Commonwealth Landing, including office space, several small stores and two restaurants, including Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill, owned by Fall River native, former Boston Red Sox second baseman and current NESN sportscaster Jerry Remy.The mill was added to the National Historic Register in 1983.

The Brightman Street Bridge is a 922-foot (281 m) long, four-lane wide drawbridge spanning the Taunton River between the town of Somerset and the city of Fall River, Massachusetts. It was authorized in 1903 by the state legislature, and building took place between 1906 and 1908, when it opened full-time on October 10, 1908. It was closed to vehicular traffic on October 11, 2011.At the time of its completion, it was the widest bridge to span the Taunton River, as the Slade's Ferry Bridge, a steel swingspan bridge built in 1875 less than a quarter mile downriver, was barely a two lane bridge. It once served as the pathway for Route 6 and Route 138 to cross the river into Fall River. Now the Veterans Memorial Bridge, just upstream, carries these routes between Somerset and Fall River.

The Brayton Homestead is a historic house at 159 Brayton Avenue in Somerset, Massachusetts. Built about 1796, it is one of Somerset's oldest surviving houses, and a rare local example of Georgian/Federal residential architecture. It was built by John Brayton on land purchased by his grandfather, and remained in the family into the 20th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

Al Mac's Diner-Restaurant is an historic restaurant building at 135 President Avenue in Fall River, Massachusetts. It is an example of the stainless steel diners in Massachusetts, with rectangular massing, a flat roof, a projecting center entry vestibule, and rear kitchen wing. The diner was built in 1953 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Fall River station (Fall River Depot) is an under-construction MBTA Commuter Rail station in Fall River, Massachusetts. The station is being constructed as part of the South Coast Rail project and is expected to open in mid-2024.

North Burial Ground is a historic cemetery located on North Main Street between Brightman and Cory Streets in Fall River, Massachusetts. The cemetery was established in 1810 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is the oldest city-owned cemetery in Fall River. The cemetery features a fieldstone gatehouse, built about 1890 and an Egyptian Revival receiving tomb built in 1849 from local Fall River granite. After Oak Grove Cemetery opened in 1855, the remains of many were transferred there from North Burial Ground, as it was considered to be the more fashionable resting place.

The Veterans Memorial Bridge is a bascule bridge connecting Somerset, Massachusetts and Fall River, Massachusetts. The bridge carries U.S. Route 6 and Route 138 over the Taunton River, with connecting ramps to Route 79, and includes a bike path on its north side. The $290 million bridge was dedicated to area veterans on September 11, 2011. The bike path was also dedicated in a separate ceremony that same day in honor of Pvt. Michael E. Bouthot, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2006.The Veterans Memorial Bridge now serves as the pathway for Route 6 and Route 138 to cross the river into Fall River. Other than the Berkley-Dighton Bridge 8½ miles to the north, it is the only non-highway bridge spanning the river between Fall River and Taunton. Along with the Braga Bridge, it is one of the two major crossings of the river. This has led to the bridge having vital importance anytime there is a problem on the Braga; since the northern detour takes approximately twenty miles and the southern detour (over the Mount Hope Bridge and the Sakonnet River Bridge) is over twenty-five miles, it immediately becomes the major path for people coming in and out of the city, and vice versa.

The William C. Davol Jr. House is a historic house located at 252 High Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.

The Woman's Club of Fall River is a historic building at 1542 Walnut Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was originally constructed in 1897 and remodeled in 1925 in the Colonial Revival style, by local architect Maude Darling Parlin, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Notable Colonial Revival features include the projecting entrance pavilion, which has a fully pedimented gable with oriel window, Corinthian pilasters separating the baysm and a pedimented entry with transom window.The building was originally a private school. During the 1910s it served as St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church before its adaptation for use by the Woman's Club.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

St. Joseph's Church is a historic church located at 1355 North Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. Designed by notable church architect Patrick C. Keely, it was built in 1880 in the Gothic Revival style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, the same day as St. Patrick's.

Foster Spinning Co. is an historic textile mill on Cove Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. The mill was built in 1916 from red brick and had a capacity of 13,312 spindles when built. It was the last new textile mill built in Fall River. Its buildings are not particularly architecturally distinctive, representing typical early-20th century mill construction, but the complex is relatively complete, including the original main mill, boiler house, smokestack, and wooden storage building. In 1920 the plant was enlarged, increasing its capacity to 25,000 spindles. The Foster Spinning Company operated on the premises until 1962.The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Nathan Read House is a historic house located at 506 North Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.
