Liberty Township is a township in Warren County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 2,670, a decrease of 272 (−9.2%) from the 2010 census count of 2,942, which in turn reflected an increase of 177 (+6.4%) from the 2,765 counted in the 2000 census.Liberty Township was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1926, from portions of Hope Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 30, 1926.
