Sheffield Springs Academy is an 11-16 secondary school serving the Park, Manor and Castle wards of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The academy is part of United Learning, a national group of schools whose motto is "the best in everyone". It opened in September 2006 on the site of the predecessor school, moving into a £30 million, purpose-built facility in 2008. Over the past three years, the academy has emerged from an Ofsted category. The most recent Ofsted inspection judged the school as a good provider and agreed that the school has benefited directly from a secure, highly experienced senior leadership team alongside the support of United Learning. As part of this, the school has innovated its curriculum offer, as well as improving areas such as pupils' transition from primary to secondary. For instance, its "Early Risers" initiative, run in conjunction with Sheffield Park Academy, has set a trail for other schools to follow.

The City Road Cemetery is a cemetery in the City of Sheffield, England that opened in May 1881 and was originally Intake Road Cemetery. Covering 100 acres (40 ha) it is the largest and is the head office for all the municipally owned cemeteries in Sheffield. The cemetery contains Sheffield Crematorium, whose first cremation was on 24 April 1905.

Holy Cross Church, Gleadless Valley, is a Church of England church building in the City of Sheffield, England. It is situated on Spotswood Mount and is a distinctive building constructed in 1964/65 and designed by the architects Braddock & Martin-Smith. It is positioned in a spectacular position among the houses on the Rollestone hillside. It has a canted front which is triangular in shape which has a large white cross at its apex. The interior features full height stained glass windows of the Virgin Mary and St John by John Baker. The church appeared in the 2006 series This Is England written by Shane Meadows.

Sheffield Manor Lodge, also known as Sheffield Manor or locally as Manor Castle, is a lodge built about 1516 in what then was a large deer park southeast of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, to provide a country retreat and further accommodate George Talbot, the 4th Earl of Shrewsbury, and his large family. The remnant of this estate is now known as Norfolk Park. The housing estate of Manor is named after Sheffield Manor Lodge.

Gleadless Valley is a housing estate and electoral ward of the City of Sheffield in England. The population of the ward at the 2011 Census was 21,089. It lies 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-southeast of the city centre. Formerly a rural area, Gleadless Valley was developed as a large housing project with around 4000 dwellings by Sheffield City Council between 1955 and 1962. It is an area of undulating land drained by the Meers Brook, which has its source on the high ground in the woodland at Gleadless. Adjacent are Gleadless to the east, Norton to the south-west, Heeley to the west and Arbourthorne to the north.

Norfolk Heritage Park (grid reference SK365859) (commonly referred to as 'Norfolk Park') is a 28-hectare (69-acre) public park in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England surrounded by the Norfolk Park residential suburb. Located to the south of Sheffield City Centre, the estate has grown up on part of the former deer park associated with Sheffield Manor. Norfolk Heritage Park is formed out of part of the deer park and was donated to the city of Sheffield by the Duke of Norfolk in Victorian times and enjoyed its heyday during Queen Victoria's reign. Later, the park fell into neglect and disrepair, but was renovated late in the 20th century. In 2002, Sheffield Fayre, a family event featuring horticulture/wildlife, and multi-period re-enactment, was launched, and it is now an annual event during the late Summer Bank Holiday. With an attendance of over 25,000 people, the annual Sheffield Fayre at Norfolk Heritage Park is the largest free event in South Yorkshire. The various attractions include the popular Sheffield Horticultural Show and the largest multi-period Living History Camp and Battle Re-enactment in the North of England. Over 600 re-enactors in authentic costume enthusiastically recreate life through various eras from Roman times to the Second World War, encompassing live battles, fascinating displays, music and activities. The Horticultural Show includes culinary, craft, art and photography classes. September 2014 saw the official opening of a 'green link', providing paths and cycle ways between Norfolk Heritage Park and the city centre. The route includes the Cholera Mounument Grounds and Clay Wood, which provide a direct link to Shrewsbury Road and access to the railway station.

Sheffield Attercliffe was a parliamentary constituency in the City of Sheffield. It was created at the 1885 general election and abolished at the 2010 general election, when it was replaced by a new Sheffield South East constituency.

The Herdings is a grade-II listed building located in Herdings, Gleadless Valley, Sheffield, England. Although the current structure dates back to 1675, the original Herdings farm building was recorded as being present as early as the 13th-century.

Myrtle Road is a former home ground of The Wednesday Football Club and was located on the street of the same name, near the centre of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. In 1870 Wednesday left Highfield and made the short trip to Myrtle Road. The exact location of the site is not known although the road is on a very steep hill and it is thought that the ground was near the top. It has been suggested that Wednesday played on the Ball Inn Recreation Ground on the south side of Myrtle Road as this is the only flat piece of land in the area.Wednesday stayed at Myrtle Road until 1877 when they played their last game there, a 0–0 draw in front of a large attendance against Heeley. Wednesday then moved again to Sheaf House.

The Gleadless War Memorial is a Grade-II listed war memorial located on Hollinsend Road at Gleadless, Sheffield. The statue, which depicts a life size sandstone British soldier dressed in a First World War uniform, was put in place during the 1920s.

Queen's Tower is a house in Sheffield, lying on Park Grange Road in the Norfolk Park area of the city. It was designed by Woodhead & Hurst for Samuel Roberts, a local cutler, as a tribute to Mary, Queen of Scots, and completed in 1839.The two-storey building is in a Tudor style, with battlements and several turrets. Its grounds were designed by Robert Marnock and incorporated walls and a window from Manor Lodge, where Mary had been imprisoned.On completion, Roberts gave the Tower to his son as a wedding present. He enlarged the structure in the 1860s. His descendants, who lived in the Tower for several generations, included Samuel Roberts, the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Ecclesall, and his son, also Samuel Roberts, and also a politician.The Tower was converted to flats in 2004.
