Lake Ann is a lake in Carver County, Minnesota, in the United States.

The Temple of ECK, located near Lake Ann in Chanhassen, Minnesota on about 174 acres (70 ha) of land, is the center of the Eckankar faith in the United States. Purchased by the church in 1985, it was built at a cost of $8.2 million. The building was completed in 1990.

Construction of the school was approved by voters in 2006 in response to rapidly growing enrollment in Carver County and overcrowding at Chaska High School, the district's other high school.

The Church of St. Hubertus is a historic Catholic church in Chanhassen, Minnesota, United States, built in 1887. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 for having local significance in the themes of "community planning and development" and "exploration/settlement". It was nominated for symbolizing the Franciscan brotherhood that platted and grew the German Catholic settlement that became Chanhassen.The town itself was first named St. Hubertus before it became Chanhassen. The congregation was established by Father Aloysius Wewer in 1877. The 1887 building was actually the third building used by the congregation. It was built by John Geiser (1812–1902), who also carved the altar and built about 30 other churches in his lifetime. The parish built its fourth church building in 1976, then built its present building in 1997.

Chanhassen ( CHAN-hass-ən) is a city about 16 miles (26 kilometres) southwest of Minneapolis in Carver County and partially in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The southwest edge of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul suburbs, there is a mix of residential neighborhoods and rural landscapes. The population was 25,947 at the 2020 census.

Hazeltine Lake is a lake in Chaska, along the fairways of Hazeltine National Golf Club, in Carver County, Minnesota, in the United States.Hazeltine Lake is named for the Hazeltine family of early settlers; Lake Susan is named for Susan Hazeltine.The golf club, adjacent to the lake, settled on the name “Hazeltine" when it opened in 1962.

Galpin Lake is a lake in Hennepin County, Minnesota, in the United States. The northern part of the lake is in Excelsior and the southern part is in Shorewood. Galpin Lake was named for Charles Galpin, a local pastor.

Excelsior Public School is a former school building in Excelsior, Minnesota, United States, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The school was built in the Georgian Revival style between 1899 and 1901 to serve Excelsior during a time of growth in the community. Before this building was built, two other school buildings were located on the site. The first was moved to 321-323 Third Street, and the second was destroyed by fire.The building originally housed grades 1 through 7 in four classrooms on the first floor, and eighth-grade and high school students were on the second floor. At the time of its construction, it was deemed the finest school in rural Hennepin County. By 1908, the school served 308 students, and by 1915 the high school students had moved to a new building on Oak Street.The school bell, mounted in a bell tower, had to be removed from the tower in 1962 because of a decaying structure. It was mounted on a granite pedestal next to the Excelsior Public Library in 1966. In 1964, the school was closed, and later became administrative offices for the Minnetonka School District. The building is currently used for office space.

The Allemarinda and James Wyer House is a Victorian cottage beside Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1887 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Its nomination form called it the largest and best preserved of Excelsior's Eastlake style summer homes built around 1880. From 1925 through 1974, it served as the home for managers of the Excelsior Amusement Park.

The 1966 U.S. Women's Open was the 21st U.S. Women's Open, held June 30 to July 3 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Sandra Spuzich, age 29, won her only major title, a stroke ahead of runner-up Carol Mann, the defending champion. A stroke back in third was four-time champion Mickey Wright. Spuzich was the 54-hole leader by a stroke over the two former champions and played in the final pair with Mann. It was the first of seven victories on the LPGA Tour for Spuzich. The 36-hole cut at 162 (+18) reduced the field of 99 to 44, which included ten amateurs.Designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened four years earlier in 1962, Hazeltine later hosted two U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships; the U.S. Women's Open returned in 1977.
