Michael Healy (14 November 1873 – 22 September 1941) was an Irish stained glass artist, one of a small number which included Wilhelmina Geddes, Evie Hone, and Harry Clarke, who achieved international recognition for their work in this medium in the first half of the 20th century. He also achieved some distinction as an illustrator and cartoonist early on in his artistic career, and as an ongoing recorder (in rapid pencil and watercolour impressions) of Dublin street characters going about their daily business. Healy also occasionally painted in oil, both portraits and landscapes, exhibiting a small number of the latter during his lifetime.

Dolphins Barn Jewish Cemetery was established in 1898 by Robert Bradlaw a dentist and prominent member of Dublin's Jewish community who raised £300 in donations to set up a new chevra kadisha. and the Dublin Jewish Holy Burial Society (HBS), founded in 1884 and dedicated to financier and philanthropist Sir Moses Montefiore. It replaced Ballybough Cemetery, Fairview, as the principal Jewish cemetery in Dublin, and close to the south circular road area, where a large number of jews lived. There is also a prayer room on the site. With Dolphins barn being the Orthodox cemetery, there is also a Progressive Jewish Cemetery, Woodtown Cemetery, on Oldcourt Road, Rathfarnham, established in 1952.

The Grand Canal (Irish: An Chanáil Mhór) is the southernmost of a pair of canals that connect Dublin, in the east of Ireland, with the River Shannon in the west, via Tullamore and a number of other villages and towns, the two canals nearly encircling Dublin's inner city. Harold's Cross Stadium was a greyhound racing stadium in Harold's Cross, Dublin, owned and operated by the Irish Greyhound Board. Facilities included a grandstand restaurant, carvery, a number of bars, totalisator betting and seating.Racing took place every Tuesday and Friday evening and race distances were 325, 525, 550, 570, and 750 yards and the feature competitions at the track were the Corn Cuchulainn, the Puppy Derby and the Grand National.The stadium closed on 13 February 2017 due to financial constraints at the owner. The proceeds from the sale were proposed be used to help pay a €20.3 million debt incurred from the construction of Limerick Greyhound Stadium.

Dublin Mosque is a mosque on the South Circular Road, Dublin in Ireland. It is the headquarters of the Islamic Foundation of Ireland. The Donore Presbyterian Church was constructed in the 1860s in the style of a 13th-century English church. In 1983 the building on the South Circular Road was bought by the Islamic Foundation of Ireland and converted into a mosque.

The Islamic Foundation of Ireland (IFI; Irish: Fondúireacht Ioslamach na hÉireann) was formed in 1959 by Muslim students in Ireland. The society established the first mosque in Ireland in 1976. It also helped to establish mosques in other cities in the country. The headquarters of the foundation is currently at the Dublin Mosque and Islamic Centre, 163 South Circular Road, Dublin 8. The Islamic Foundation of Ireland has been the official representative of Muslims in Ireland since its inception. It describes its role as looking after the religious, educational and social needs of Muslims in Ireland.

The National Stadium (Irish: An Staid Náisiúnta) (often referred to as the National Boxing Stadium or the National Sporting Arena) in Dublin, Ireland, is the only purpose-built boxing stadium in the world. Major General WRE Murphy, Deputy Commissioner of the Garda Síochána (police) proposed building the stadium in early 1935 and started fundraising. Built in 1939, the venue hosts over 55 days of boxing and a number of other events each year.

St. Catherine and James Church, Donore Ave, Dublin (formerly called the Church of St. Victor). Is a Church of Ireland church built in 1896 originally as a chapel of ease for St. Catherines, in 1914 it was dedicated to St. Victor, following de-consecration and closure of St. Catherines in 1966 and St. James' worship was transferred to Donore Ave, the church was re-dedicated in 1988, since it was the only active church remaining in the parish of that name, effectively replacing the two other churches.It was built to the designs of Robert John Stirling BE FRIAI, the building was extended in 1906. The stained glass windows, Hope (1915), St Catherine (1923) and St Victor (1930), were produced by the artist Michael Healy, and the stained glass window of St. Colmcille(1915), was produced by the artist Catherine O'Brien. From 1970 parishes of St Peter (Aungier St.), St Matthias and St Audoen; St. Catherine and James Church; St Luke (The Coombe) and St Kevin (Camden Row) came under St. Patrick's Cathedral group, until 2012. The parish was merged in 2012 with St. Audoen's to form the parish of the Parish of St Catherine and St James with St Audoen.Beside the church is a National School, whose foundation stone was laid by the Archbishop of Dublin, in 1901, and has been similarly named St. Catherine's.In 1963 the war memorials from St. James' Street Church were relocated to the Donore Ave. Church, as were the war memorials from St. Nicholas Without and St. Luke's Church in the Coombe. In November 2015 the war memorial from the St. Peter's Church, Aungier Street, Dublin, was restored and relocated to St. Catherine and James Church.
