Kiewit Corporation is an American construction company based in Omaha, Nebraska, and founded in 1884. In 2021, it was ranked 247th on the Fortune 500 list in 2025. Privately held, it is one of the largest construction and engineering organizations in North America. It is an employee-owned company.

Charles Schwab Field Omaha (formerly TD Ameritrade Park Omaha) is a baseball park in Omaha, Nebraska. Opened in 2011, the stadium serves as a replacement for historic Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium. Charles Schwab Field has a seating capacity of 24,000, with the ability to expand to 35,000 spectators. The ballpark was expected to cost US$128 million to construct and is located near the CHI Health Center Omaha. The park turned a profit of $5.6 million in its first year of operation, easily covering its debt payments.It is the home field of the Creighton University Bluejays baseball team, and the host venue of the College World Series—the final rounds of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The College World Series has been held in Omaha since 1950, and will continue to be hosted there through at least 2035. The Big Ten Conference has also held its baseball tournament at Charles Schwab Field, first in 2014 and 2016, and from 2018 through 2022. Attempts were made to bring a professional baseball team to Charles Schwab Field, but legal troubles prevented this. The local Pacific Coast League franchise, the Omaha Storm Chasers (formerly Royals), opted for a smaller capacity venue at the new Werner Park, west of Papillion. In 2021, Charles Schwab announced it would be retaining the naming rights to the park following their acquisition of TD Ameritrade in 2020.

Red Sky Music Festival was a yearly music festival held at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2011 and 2012. The format for the festival included a headlining act closing each night with local and national acts performing on stages around the stadium during the day. The festival aimed to include many different genres of music. In its short history, Red Sky attracted headlining acts from classic rockers Journey and Def Leppard to country artists Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley to local favorite 311. The festival also served as a showcase for many local artists. MECA's inspiration for the format of the festival was Milwaukee's Summerfest.On October 20, 2012, MECA announced that there would not be another Red Sky Music Festival. They cited difficulties including scheduling artists around summer tours and the blistering July heat. They said there would still be concerts at TD Ameritrade Park, just not in festival format, which would allow them more flexibility.

The Stabrie Grocery is a building located at 501 North 13th Street in the NoDo area of Downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Built in 1882, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Omaha Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant is located at 1514-1524 Cuming Street in North Omaha, Nebraska. In its 16 years of operation, the plant employed 1,200 people and built approximately 450,000 cars and trucks. In the 1920s, it was Omaha's second-biggest shipper.

The Omaha Fire Department Hose Company building is a historic building located at 999 North 16th Street in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The former home of Omaha Fire Department's hose company number 4 and designed by German-born architect Joseph P. Guth and built in 1913 by Dutchman Peter Kiewit & Sons, the building is now unoccupied. Charles A. Salter was the chief of the fire department at the time.In 2011, the Nebraska State Historical Society included the building in its Reconnaissance Survey of Downtown and Columbus Park Omaha, which was prepared for the City of Omaha.The building has served as the home of horse-drawn fire wagons, a plumbing company, an auto transmission shop, an armored car garage and, its last known use, for storage.

Jefferson Square was the last of three original public parks extant in Omaha, Nebraska. Bounded by North 15th, 16th, Chicago and Cass Streets, the park was dedicated November 25, 1865. It was razed by the city March 18, 1969 to make way for the construction of Interstate 480 in Downtown Omaha. Before that time it was the site of Omaha's first school, and considered for the location of the first Omaha Public Library and the Omaha Market House.

The Nicholas Street Historic District is a historic district in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. It is roughly bounded by 11th Street on the east, 14th Street to the west, and centered around Nicholas Street.

The John Gottschalk Freedom Center is a newspaper production facility located at 14th Street and Capitol Avenue in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Built for the Omaha World-Herald, the building is considered to be one of the most automated and technologically advanced newspaper facilities in the world. The Freedom Center has been labeled a "catalyst" in the redevelopment of Downtown Omaha, along with such other new downtown development as the opening of the Missouri riverfront, the First National Center, the Omaha Convention Center and Arena and the Gallup University campus. The facility covers four blocks, and houses the new shaftless printing presses, material handling center, assembly equipment, and a parking garage.

Holy Family Church was built in 1883 at 1715 Izard Street, at the intersections of 18th and Izard Streets in North Omaha, Nebraska within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Omaha. It is the oldest existing Catholic Church in Omaha, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Morrison Stadium is a 6,000-seat soccer-specific stadium located between 17th and 19th Streets to the north of Cass Street, on the east side of the Creighton University campus in the NoDo neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. The main entrance and ticket window is located on the west side, at the intersection of California and Florence Blvd. (19th Street). The stadium is home to the Creighton Bluejays men's and women's soccer teams.

The Market House was a controversial fresh produce, meat and fish outlet on Capitol Avenue from North 12th to North 14th Avenues in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska. After almost 40 years of debate and delays in building it, the City of Omaha built the Market House in 1904. The local National Guard squatted in the building for almost 20 years, and afterward it was entirely demolished by 1930.
