Tespe is a municipality in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Situated on the left bank of the river Elbe, it abuts on the district of Lüneburg at the south and the west. Tespe is 5 km southeast of Geesthacht and about 30 kilometres southeast of Hamburg. The municipalities Tespe, Marschacht and Drage together form the Samtgemeinde Elbmarsch. On the opposite bank of the Elbe is the Krümmel Nuclear Power Plant.

Krümmel Nuclear Power Plant is a German nuclear power plant in Geesthacht, Schleswig-Holstein, near Hamburg. It was taken into operation in 1983 and is owned 50% by Vattenfall via Vattenfall Europe Nuclear Energy GmbH and 50% by E.ON, and operated by the Swedish Vattenfall. Its gross power production is 1,401 MW, using a boiling water reactor. The reactor was the world's second largest of its type in commercial operation. It is nearly identical to three other German nuclear reactors, namely Brunsbüttel Nuclear Power Plant (near Hamburg), Philippsburg Nuclear Power Plant Block 1 and Isar Nuclear Power Plant Block 1, as well as the Austrian Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant, that never went into service.Since July 4, 2009, after the reactor is not running, and since 2011 it is definitely shutdown due to popular demand. Neetze is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Ilmenau. It has a length of approximately 42 km (26 mi) and possesses several side arms.

Lüne Abbey (German: Kloster Lüne) is a former Benedictine nunnery in the Lower Saxon town of Lüneburg. Today it is a Protestant Lutheran convent and is managed by the Klosterkammer Hannover (Hanover Monastic Chamber). The current abbess is Reinhild Freifrau von der Goltz.Founded in 1172, the convent soon established itself as a wealthy and autonomous local power in the Lüneburg Heath region. It recruited its nuns mostly from the influential patrician families of Lüneburg and accommodated up to 60 women over most of its existence. These women would be thoroughly educated in Latin, Liberal Arts and in Christian doctrine and liturgy. Over the course of the 15th and 16th centuries, the convent structure changed first through the monastic reform (1481), then through the Protestant Reformation but was never resolved.

It is situated on the southern (left) bank of the river Elbe, approx. 30 km southeast of Hamburg, and 20 km north of Lüneburg. Its seat is in the village Marschacht.
