First Baptist Church of Glenarden International or FBCG is a Baptist Evangelical megachurch located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. It is affiliated with Converge. Weekly church attendance was 12,000 people in 2022. The senior pastor is John K. Jenkins Sr.

Northampton Plantation was an American plantation established by Thomas Sprigg in 1673.Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore granted a 1000-acre tract of land to Thomas Sprigg in 1673. The tract was called "Northampton," and Sprigg built his plantation there. In 1865, John Contee Fairfax purchased the Northampton plantation, which continued as a working farm until the 1950s.The site is now Northampton Plantation Slave Quarters & Archaeological Park in Bowie, Maryland. The park features the foundations of two former slave quarters that have been reconstructed as permanent outdoor museum exhibits in a park setting with interpretive signs. Group tours and school programs can be arranged by appointment.

Batwing is a steel flying roller coaster built by Vekoma at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. This is nearly identical to Nighthawk at Carowinds, however that ride has a slightly different ending, and different paint scheme. The ride is also a clone of the now-defunct Firehawk at Kings Island. Of the two operating Vekoma Flying Dutchmans, Batwing is the only one still operating under its original name at its original park, since Nighthawk originally operated at California's Great America as Stealth. Batwing operates alongside the standard schedule of Six Flags America.

Superman – Ride of Steel are steel roller coasters located at two different Six Flags parks in the United States, including Six Flags America in Woodmore, Maryland, and Six Flags Darien Lake in Corfu, New York. At Six Flags Darien Lake, the coaster was renamed Ride of Steel in 2007, dropping Superman from the name. Both hypercoasters, manufactured by Intamin, are mirror-image and opened a year apart, beginning with the Darien Lake installation in May 1999 followed by Six Flags America in May 2000. They are 208 feet (63 m) tall, feature a drop length of 205 feet (62 m), and reach a maximum speed of 73 mph (117 km/h). A roller coaster with a similar name, Superman The Ride, opened at Six Flags New England in 2000 but features a significantly different layout.

Mount Lubentia is a historic house located at Largo in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is an elegantly detailed 2+1⁄2-story Georgian/Federal-style, Flemish bond brick house, probably built about 1760 and substantially renovated in the late 1790s, by Enoch Magruder and his son, Dennis of Harmony Hall.The house was occupied by the Rev. Jonathan Boucher from 1771 to 1773 who described it as "a very tolerable house" in his Reminiscences of an American Loyalist, and remarked that his pupils dubbed the house "Castle Magruder." Among Boucher's students was Jackie Custis, George Washington's step-son, who lived with Boucher at Mount Lubentia during this period. George and Martha Washington visited on several occasions, as related in Washington's diary. Forrest Bowie, a direct descendant of Enoch Magruder, stated in an article written in the late 1930s that family tradition held that Dennis Magruder was born at Mount Lubentia in 1759. He was given the house and property by his father upon his marriage in 1779, when serving in the Maryland Line during the Revolutionary War. During the course of restoration by the owner over the past 15 years, evidence of earlier configuration, materials and finish has been discovered beneath the late 18th and early 19th century work now evident.Also on the property and of significance in and of itself is the octagonal frame dairy which was moved onto the property in the 1970s from a nearby former plantation, "Graden." The dairy is the best surviving example of an architecturally conscious domestic outbuilding of the 18th century in the county, and possibly in the state. Also on the property is an 18th-century corncrib, described in the 1798 tax records.Mount Lubentia was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Operated by Prince George's County Public Schools, it serves students of grades 9 to 12. The school is operated by the Prince George's County Public Schools system. The school's athletic teams are known as the Lions. The school serves about 870 students in grades 9 through 12. The principal is Albert T. Lewis. The school's name originates from the Largo unincorporated community, which is served by the school. Other places served include sections of the CDPs of Kettering, Brock Hall, Forestville, and Westphalia. It serves sections of the former Greater Upper Marlboro CDP.Largo High School is located next to Prince George's Community College.

The Joker's Jinx is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. The ride utilizes linear induction motor technology to launch the train from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just over three seconds. The Joker's Jinx was designed by Premier Rides and manufactured by Intermountain Lift, Inc.

Six Flags America is a theme park and waterpark located in the Woodmore CDP of Prince George's County, Maryland, near Upper Marlboro, adjacent to the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Founded as a wildlife center in 1973 by Ross Perot, ABC television operated the park as a drive-through safari called The Largo Wildlife Preserve, from 1974 until its closure, in 1978. The property was bought by Jim Fowler's Wild Kingdom; thereafter, the site was gradually converted from a wildlife preserve into a theme park named Wild World. In 1992, the park was renamed “The Great Escape: Adventure World” after being acquired by Premier Parks, before being edited again to “Adventure World: The Thrill Park”. Ultimately, the park would be rebranded as the tenth Six Flags park, after Premier Parks acquired Six Flags Inc., and adopted its name, in 1999; the name-change to Six Flags America—and all associated IP and theming—was unveiled for the park’s 2000 operating season. The "America" in the park's name was chosen due to the park's close proximity to the U.S. capital; the park’s entry plaza and “promenade” also features colonial-era architecture and related theming of Colonial Maryland.

The Partnership Mansion (commonly referred to as Hall Manor) was a mansion located on the grounds of Six Flags America in Largo, Maryland. The original structure was built by the Hall family in the 1700s, and was added on to by subsequent owners notably the Berry family in the 1840s.

The Wild One is a wooden roller coaster at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. It features a 450° spiral helix and a series of bunny hills that produce a significant amount of air time. The wooden coaster was previously known as Giant Coaster when it was located at Paragon Park in Hull, Massachusetts. It operated there from 1917 to 1984. It is the oldest coaster in any Six Flags park.
