Blue Ridge Manor is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1964. The population was 767 at the 2010 census, up from 623 at the 2000 census.

Wildwood is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 261 at the 2010 census.

Douglass Hills is a home rule-class city in eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 5,484 at the 2010 census, down from 5,718 at the 2000 census.

Plainview is a neighborhood in the city of Jeffersontown, Kentucky and is located on the former site of the Plainview Dairy Farm. It is a Planned Unit Development which includes housing, workplaces, and shopping within a single development. Plainview is located between I-64 and Shelbyville Road east of Hurstbourne Parkway. The Plainview community has many amenities; such as the Swim & Tennis Center, where there is a swim team, with competitions throughout the year. There is also a yearly yard sale.

Griffytown is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky established in 1879 in unincorporated Jefferson County, along Old Harrods Creek Road. Streets within its boundaries include: Bellewood Road, Robert Road, Church Lane, Lincoln Way, Cox Lane, Malcolm Avenue, Plainview Avenue and Booker Road. It has also been known as Griffeytown, and Griffithtown. It has a historical marker presented by African American Heritage Committee, Inc. of Louisville and Jefferson County.

The Robert May House is located at 11104 Owl Creek Lane, Anchorage, Kentucky. It is a three-and-one-half story house with stucco and half-timbering. The multi-gabled roof is pierced with dormers. The structure is of fireproof construction with concrete and hollow tile used. The interior woodwork is of mahogany. A stone bridge gate forms the entrance to the property. A stone and half-timber springhouse is on the property, as well. The residence was built circa 1910 by Henry Frank, a prominent architect and builder. Henry Frank (1873-1932) settled in Middletown, Kentucky about 1890 and served as an apprentice to the building contractor William Benjamin Wood. After Wood's death in 1906, Frank formed his own company and constructed numerous public buildings in Jefferson County, Kentucky, as well as several private residences. Frank constructed the Robert May House for Robert May and his family. Robert May was an engineer that constructed railroads in Cuba and South America. May was also a member of the Anchorage Town Board. The Robert May House is a significant example of early twentieth century architecture in a Revival style. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Middletown United Methodist Church is a historic church at Madison and Main Streets in Middletown, Kentucky. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The church was established in 1800. The second building was built in 1899 by William Benjamin Wood, a local builder. It is a brick structure on a stone foundation.The parish is now located in a newer building on Old Shelbyville Road.A sign on the lawn in 2014 identified the building as the Middletown Community Center (per photo).

The James Thompson House in Anchorage, Kentucky, was built in about 1894. The house's architecture is eclectic, with elements of Shingle Style and Queen Anne style, and by tradition it has been believed to have been designed by E.T. Hutchings.It is a wood-frame house on a limestone foundation, with a modified gambrel roof. Its front is asymmetrical and it has a porch around three sides of the house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Presbyterian Manse near Anchorage, Kentucky is a historic Presbyterian church residence, associated with the Anchorage Presbyterian Church. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.It is a one-and-a-half-story frame house built in 1910, with Moorish arches featured in the porch on its southwest and southeast sides.

The Hausgen House, a historic home, located on Walnut Lane in Anchorage, Kentucky, was constructed c. 1890 and is an example of the Colonial Revival design popular in eastern Jefferson County during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The home was built for H. Otto Hausgen by William B. Wood, known as Anchorage's master builder.The foundation of the home is constructed of local limestone; quarried from the nearby community of Peewee Valley, Kentucky. Lumber, tools, and other materials used in the construction of the home were hauled in two-horse wagons, a commonly used conveyance of the time. The two-story frame and weatherboard house has a hipped roof and a one-story veranda, which spans the entire main façade. The front entryway includes an elaborate front door with overhead fanlights and sidelights - a typical feature with the Colonial Revival styles of the period. These features, along with the fine dentil molding of the porch and cornice work, make this house a particularly fine example of Wood's work. The home also features a multiple columned porch distinctive to the style. This home style went on to greatly influence the 1908 design of the W. S. Forrester House; a residence attributed to Henry Frank, a local builder who had served as an apprentice to Wood. Since its completion, Hausgen House has remained intact, with no known changes made to its Colonial Revival styling. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and has undergone significant renovations since that time.

Nash–McDonald House is a house in Anchorage, Kentucky with elements of Gothic Revival architecture that was built in 1869.It was deemed to be a "fine example of the Gothic Revival which is relatively rare in the County although more prevalent in Anchorage", according to a 1979 Kentucky Historic Resources review of the property. The review asserts it is significant as one of several houses built by Edward D. Hobbs. This property was sold by Hobbs to M.B. Nash in 1869 for $10,139.71. It was home during 1884 to 1887 to Rev. William McDonald. McDonald founded the Louisville Rugby School in Louisville. a school which, in '"its early years, the school was 'the largest and most flourishing private school for boys west of the Alleghanies'".It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
