The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston (Latin: Archidioecesis Kingstoniensis/Regiopolitana) is a Latin Catholic archdiocese that includes part of the federal Province of Ontario in southeastern Canada. Its cathedral archiepiscopal see is St. Mary's Cathedral, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, in Kingston, Ontario.

Princess Street is a major arterial road in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. As the main retail street of downtown Kingston, it is lined by many historic limestone buildings in the city's downtown core. Princess Street begins at Kingston's current western city limits in Westbrook (continuing from Main Street, Odessa) and ends at the downtown waterfront east of Ontario Street. Eastbound traffic is then carried by Ontario Street across the Lasalle Causeway to Barriefield. All of Princess Street and most of Ontario Street formed part of the Provincial Highway (formerly Highway 2), the main highway from Windsor/Toronto to Montréal until the Kingston Bypass segment of Highway 401 was opened in 1958. In the outlying western sections of the city, the road was still simply Highway 2, with the Princess Street name gradually adopted as the urban area expanded west.

Richardson Memorial Stadium, officially named George Taylor Richardson Memorial Stadium, is the football stadium for Queen's University, in Kingston, Ontario. The stadium is primarily used for Canadian football but also has hosted other sporting events such as soccer and rugby. There has been a stadium at Queen's University since 1921, all using the same name. A second stadium was built in 1971 to replace the first. This was then subsequently replaced in 2016 when the third and most current version was opened. The current stadium has a seating capacity of over 8,000.The facilities are named in memory of George Taylor Richardson, a Queen's graduate renowned for his athleticism and sportsmanship who died in the First World War.

The Kingston Centre (originally Kingston Shopping Centre) was an indoor mall built in Kingston, Ontario in 1955 and demolished in 2004. The Kingston Centre name now belongs to a 223,327 sq ft (20,747.8 m2). campus-style open-air shopping centre on the same site, which replaced the now-demolished indoor mall. Anchored by the Loblaws supermarket, the current Kingston Centre is, like its predecessor, located beside a Canadian Tire store and bordered by Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd, Bath Road and Princess Street.

Calvin Park Public School is a school for grade 7 and 8 students located in the same building as Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI), at 153 Van Order Drive in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Limestone District School Board.

Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI) is a secondary school (high school) located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It is commonly referred to as simply "LC". The school is located at 153 Van Order Drive in the city's Calvin Park neighbourhood. It was built to serve newly developed areas in what was then the west end of the city, where thousands of new homes were being built in the early 1960s. Loyalist was the third public high school in the city and was needed to accommodate the first wave of the baby boom generation then entering their teen years. Construction began in 1962 and classes began in fall 1963. The official opening was held October 6, 1964. LCVI hosted elementary school students when it first opened, since construction of Calvin Park Public School, located across the street from the high school, had not yet been completed. The elementary school portion of Loyalist was given the name "Loyalist Senior Public School" (LSPS). The school was built to accommodate up to 2,000 students. When Loyalist first began operation, secondary enrollment was 715. At the beginning of its second year (1964), enrollment was 984. Enrollment at LSPS in 1963 was 270, and increased to 300 in 1964. Enrollment in 2010 was approximately 750, but had further reduced to just over 500 students by 2015. Peak enrollment (near capacity) occurred in the early 1970s, when the school was by far the largest in the area, and the major decline toward today's numbers started in the early 1980s as the last of the baby boom generation graduated. Following the closure of Queen Elizabeth Collegiate and Vocational Institute in 2016, students already attending QECVI were transferred to LCVI, and enrollment is now projected to be stable until about 2020. Under principal John "Jack" Linscott from 1963 until 1984, LCVI was highly successful in combining technical and trades education with traditional academics. The school was also an early leader in implementing International and English as a Second Language programs. As when it first opened, LCVI again shares space with grade 7 and 8 students who attend Calvin Park Public School. Calvin Park Public School was previously a kindergarten to grade 8 school which opened in 1965 in a separate building directly across the street from LCVI. The original building now serves as an adult education centre. The school colours are Kelly green, white and gold, and sports teams use the name "Lancers". Starting in the fall of the 2021/22 school year L.C.V.I will merge with Calvin Park to be one grade 7 to 12 school.

École secondaire publique Mille-Îles is a high school in Kingston, Ontario. It was founded in 1994 and was initially started as a French program within Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute (KCVI) in 1977. In 1980, it became a separate module serving students in grades 9 to OAC. The establishment of a distinct francophone public high school was first suggested in 1987, and the project came to fruition in 1994, which led to the inauguration of Mille-Îles as a distinct entity in 1995, still within the KCVI building. The school moved to its present location, the former location of Calvin Park Public School, in 1999, when it also expanded to welcome students in grades 7 and 8. In April 2012, the school moved to a new building (a renovated elementary school), which combined École élémentaire publique Madeleine-de-Roybon and Mille-Îles under the same roof. The schools, although they kept their separate identities, welcomed students from kindergarten to grade 12. There was also a daycare service offered by La garderie éducative.In January 2018, it was announced that a French community hub would be built. "The two French boards in Kingston — the Conseil des Ecoles Catholiques du Centre-Est de l’Ontario (CECCE) and the Conseil des Ecole Public de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO) — will see close to $24 million to build the new combined facility for Mille-Iles Public Secondary School and Marie-Rivier Catholic Secondary School, which will also include the Centre Culturel Frontenac community hub."In September 2018, while waiting for the construction of the new building, the school moved into the old St-Patrick Catholic Elementary school, which was shut down by the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board in 2015.In March 2020, it was announced that the French community hub would not be ready until at least the 2021–2022 school year.

The Faculty of Education at the Queen's University at Kingston in Canada was founded in 1907. Over 23,000 teachers and education professionals have graduated from the Faculty since 1907. The Faculty is located at Duncan McArthur Hall, an integrated educational complex that provides teaching and learning facilities, support services, and administrative offices under one roof on West Campus.

Beth Israel Congregation (Hebrew: בית ישראל) is a Conservative synagogue located at 116 Centre Street in Kingston, Ontario.It was designed by Joseph William Power, architect in 1910. It is the oldest synagogue in Kingston.

Williamsville is a neighbourhood located in downtown Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The neighbourhood is bounded by Concession Street to the north, Johnson Street to the south and Sir John A Macdonald Blvd to the west, and Division Street to the east. Williamsville is represented on the City Council by counsellor Jim Neill and is also home to the Williamsville Community Association, a local advocacy group committed to the interests of Williamsville's residents, businesses, and agencies.As one of the original neighbourhoods of the City of Kingston, Williamsville is home to several good examples of local Limestone, Victorian, and Craftsman-Style architecture. The neighbourhood is also known for being the childhood home of Don Cherry. Following the completion of Ontario Highway 401 and declining usage of Ontario Highway 2, the main thoroughfare through Kingston, economic prosperity declined in Williamsville beginning in the 1960s. As a result, Williamsville has been the subject of several revitalisation efforts based on the Williamsville Main Street Study. These efforts have led to extensive renovations to the Kingston Memorial Centre, significant investment in infrastructure along Princess Street along the Williamsville corridor, new residential development projects, and the addition of Kingston's second Farmers' Market.

The Kingston Memorial Centre is a 3,300-seat multi-purpose arena located at 303 York Street in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1951, the Kingston Community Memorial Health and Recreation Centre was designed as a community sports and entertainment centre that would become a "living memorial" in remembrance of Kingstonians who gave their life in both world wars and the Korean War (Planning Partnership-Hughes Downey Architects 2007, p. 5). The Memorial Centre lands and facilities include a war memorial, a large ice pad in the arena building, a new outdoor aquatic centre, agricultural barns, softball diamonds, a cinder track, off leash dog park and a linear park at the east, north and west perimeter of the property. Just east of the arena building was the International Hockey Hall of Fame (IHHOF) museum building at 277 York St. In July 2012, Kingston City Council approved the relocation of the collection on a short-term basis to the Invista Centre on Gardiners Road in Kingston. The existing building was found to have costly repair issues related to moisture penetration. It was demolished after the IHHOF moved to the Invista Centre in Kingston's west end.The Memorial Centre land has been publicly owned since it was acquired in 1841 by the British Government. Its cultural significance reflects local Kingston agricultural, military and recreational history (Planning Partnership-Hughes Downey Architects 2007, p. 4). As the Memorial Centre building aged consideration was given by the City of Kingston for ways to rehabilitate the property. In 1993 Parkin Consultants Limited issued a Final Report on the possible uses of the property based primarily on 1980s data. In 1987, the Kingston Canadians junior hockey club was the main tenant with 60% of the facilities events. Entertainment programing accounted for 12% and trade or consumer shows 24% of events. In 1987 there were $774,862 in ticket sales, facility rentals and other income. But operating costs were $1,093,473. The Parkin report noted that the deficit of $318,311 could be reduced with decreased through measures to reduce maintenance and energy costs and by increasing rent, ticket sales, and canteen revenues.The Memorial Centre was the home to the Kingston Frontenacs ice hockey team and its predecessors, the Kingston Canadians and Kingston Raiders from 1973–2008. It was also home to the Kingston Frontenacs of the Eastern Professional Hockey League from 1959-1963. When a new downtown arena, the Leon's Centre opened in 2008, the Frontenacs moved to the new facility, playing their last game at the Memorial Centre on February 15, 2008.The Kingston Memorial Centre is the site of the annual Kingston Fall Fair operated by the Kingston and District Agricultural Society. Established in Kingston in 1830 as the Midland Fair and revived in 1912, the Kingston Fall Fair is held over four days each September. It is the second oldest Fair in Ontario, with attendance over 16,000. The society sponsors the Fair with the objective of promoting education through agriculture. The fair includes the largest dairy show held in Ontario.Since the 1950s the Memorial Centre has been used for many cultural and recreational events including performances by Johnny Cash in 1958 and 1987. Kingston's The Tragically Hip played the centre in 1995 In 2010 it become the home of Kingston Derby Girls, Kingston's first official women's roller derby league.After 2008, the Memorial Centre became the permanent home of the Queen's Golden Gaels (Queen’s varsity hockey), figure skating, and Queen’s intramural ice sports. It replaced the Jock Harty Arena which had been demolished to allow for the construction of new athletic facilities at Queen's University. The Church Athletic League of Kingston hockey teams are based at the centre.

The Prison For Women ("P4W"; French: Prison des femmes), located in Kingston, Ontario, was a Correctional Service of Canada prison for women that functioned at a maximum security level from 1934 to 2000.
