The Rame Peninsula (Cornish: Gorenys an Ros) is a peninsula in south-east Cornwall. It is surrounded by the English Channel to the south, Plymouth Sound to the east, the Hamoaze to the northeast and the estuary of the River Lynher to the north-west. On a clear day, the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from advantageous points from Rame Head. The largest settlement is Torpoint, which is on the eastern coast, facing Devonport in Plymouth, Devon. The peninsula is named after Rame Head, a headland on the south of the peninsula. The peninsula also includes the village and parish of Rame. 50.324°N 4.214°W / 50.324; -4.214 The entire area of the peninsula is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

St Germanus' Church is a Church of England church in Rame, Cornwall, England, UK. Much of the existing church dates to the 13th and 15th centuries. It has been Grade I listed since 1960.The church is dedicated to St. Germanus, a bishop of Auxerre in Late Antique Gaul who is supposed to have landed in the neighbourhood when he came to Britain to suppress the Pelagian heresy in about 429.

Rame Church Battery was a gun battery in south east Cornwall. It was built between 1889 and 1893 to defend HMNB Devonport from Rame area and was demolished and infilled in the early 1970s.

St Andrew's Church is a Church of England church in Cawsand, Cornwall, England, UK. The church was built in 1877–78 and has been Grade II listed since 1987.

Cawsand (Cornish: Porthbugh; lit. Cow Cove) and Kingsand (Cornish: Porthruw) are twin villages in southeast Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is situated on the Rame Peninsula and is in the parish of Maker-with-Rame. Cawsand overlooks Plymouth Sound and adjoins Kingsand, formerly on the border of Devon and Cornwall (the border has since been moved and now is situated on the River Tamar). Cawsand has two public houses: the Cross Keys Inn on Armada Road, not trading and for sale in September 2022, and the Bay bar, overlooking Cawsand beach. Cawsand is within Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. There are frequent bus services to the city of Plymouth which is three miles to the north across Plymouth Sound. There is also a ferry service in the summer (from Cawsand Bay to Plymouth Hoe) and a pilot gig club (Rame Gig Club). The Rame Peninsula is considered part of the Forgotten Corner of Cornwall.

Cawsand Bay is a bay on the southeast coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.The bay takes its name from the village of Cawsand at grid reference SX 434 503, to the northeast of the Rame Peninsula. Cawsand Bay is oriented north–south, opening eastward into Plymouth Sound about 3 miles (5 km) south-southwest of Plymouth, as the crow flies.Cawsand Bay is about one mile (1.6 km) across and about a mile and a half (2.4 km) wide across its mouth and is bounded by Penlee Point to the south. A once-popular ballad entitled "Harry Grady and Miss Elinor Ford, the Rich Heiress" appeared as early as 1840 in Hamilton Moore's Nautical Sketches (William Edward Painter, 1840). It was included under the title "Cawsand Bay" in Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch's The Oxford Book of Ballads (Clarendon Press, 1910).

Kingsand (Cornish: Porthruw) and Cawsand are twin villages in southeast Cornwall, United Kingdom. The villages are situated on the Rame Peninsula and are in the parish of Maker-with-Rame. Until boundary changes in 1844, Kingsand was in Devon; however, Cawsand has always been in Cornwall. On the old county boundary between the two villages, the house Devon Corn still displays the boundary marker.

St Paul's Church is a former Church of England church in Kingsand, Cornwall, England, UK. Built in 1881–82, the church ceased use as a place of worship after 1943 and is now used as the Maker with Rame Community Hall.

Rame Head or Ram Head (Cornish: Penn an Hordh) is a coastal headland, southwest of the village of Rame in southeast Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is part of the larger Rame Peninsula.

Maker-with-Rame (Cornish: Magor a-berth Hordh) is a civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated on the Rame Peninsula, approximately four miles (6.5 km) south of Saltash and two miles (3 km) west of Plymouth.The parish was formed in 1941 from the ecclesiastical parishes of Maker and Rame. It occupies the eastern end of the Rame peninsula and is surrounded on three sides by sea: the Hamoaze to the north, Plymouth Sound to the east, and the English Channel to the south and southwest. To the west, Maker-with-Rame is bounded by Millbrook civil parish. The population of the parish (including Anderton) at the 2011 census was 1,020.Maker-with-Rame takes its name from its principal villages, Maker and Rame. Other settlements in the parish include Cawsand, Cremyll and Kingsand. The population of the parish at the 2011 census was 977.

Penlee Battery is a nature reserve lying on the coastal headland of Penlee Point on the Rame Peninsula, in southeast Cornwall, England. The site was formerly the location of a gun battery, constructed between 1889 and 1892. It was originally armed with two 6-inch BL guns and a 13.5-inch BL, the latter of which was the largest gun of the Plymouth defences. During World War I and II, the battery's armament was made up of three 9.2-inch guns.After the dissolution of coast artillery in the United Kingdom in 1956 the battery was disarmed and disposed of by the War Office. Many parts of the battery were demolished and gun positions filled in during the 1970s. One of the 6-inch emplacements remains intact, while the battery's magazines remain underground, but are filled in.It is home to a beach revealed at low tide, and is famous among dragonfly enthusiasts as the site where Britain's first Green Darner dragonfly was found, in 1998.

Maker Battery is a former 19th-century coastal artillery battery, built to strengthen the defence of the Royal Naval Dockyard at Devonport. The battery was proposed in 1885 on the recommendations of the Stanhope Committee report and completed in 1887. It was built with emplacements for a single 12.5-inch Rifled Muzzle Loading (RML) gun which was mounted. It was then supplemented in 1890 when two further 12.5-inch guns were moved from nearby Grenville Battery.The gun positions were served by underground magazines. The rear of the battery is enclosed by a small ditch and drawbridge. There was no barrack accommodation at the battery, but a small cookhouse was built to cater for the men expected to man the battery. The battery was upgraded with newer armament in 1899 when the battery was re-modelled for two 6-inch breech loading (BL) guns which were installed by 1903. These remained in place until 1911 when they were dismounted. The battery was abandoned by the War Office in 1948. The battery remains complete but derelict today.
