Willsbridge

Bitton railway station is the main station (and headquarters) of the Avon Valley Railway. It is located near the village of Bitton, South Gloucestershire. The station was opened on 4 August 1869, however was shut due to the Beeching cuts, closing to freight trains on 5 July 1965, and to passengers on 7 March 1966. However, it was reopened by the Avon Valley Railway heritage railway in 1972. The station was served by the Midland Railway-operated Mangotsfield and Bath branch line, which now has become the Bristol and Bath Railway Path cycle route.

Siston Brook rises in two separate streams which issue from a ridge just north of the village of Siston, South Gloucestershire, England. The brook is approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) long and is a tributary of the Bristol Avon. Much of its course is through the eastern suburbs of Bristol, although it remains outside the city boundaries. Tributaries include the Warmley Brook and an unnamed tributary from Bridgeyate. The stream has provided power for watermills and battery mills in the past and some mill buildings still survive. Wildlife is supported by nature reserves through which the Siston Brook runs. Flooding has caused problems in the past, but modern measures to alleviate this include an attenuation reservoir and proposals to reinstate historic weirs and sluices. The name Siston is believed to derive from Anglo-Saxon, meaning Sige's Farmstead.

The Avon Valley Railway (AVR) is a three-mile-long heritage railway based at Bitton station in South Gloucestershire, England, between Bristol and Bath and is operated by a local group: The Avon Valley Railway Company Ltd. The railway follows the Avon Valley south-east from Oldland Common, through Bitton and alongside the River Avon towards Kelston and Bath. The railway shares its route with the Sustrans cycleway and footpath, the Bristol and Bath Railway Path.

Oldland is a village and civil parish in South Gloucestershire, England. The parish includes the villages of Cadbury Heath and Longwell Green, and part of Willsbridge. It does not include Oldland Common, which is in the parish of Bitton.

Bitton Association Football Club is a football club based in the South Gloucestershire suburb of Bitton, in England. Affiliated to the Gloucestershire County Football Association, they play at the Recreation Ground on Bath Road.

Longwell Green Sports Football Club is a football club based in the South Gloucestershire suburb of Longwell Green, in England. Affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA, they are currently members of the Western League Division One and play at the Longwell Green Community Stadium.

Cadbury Heath is a residential area in South Gloucestershire, England, located east of Bristol.

Keynsham Lock is a canal lock situated on the River Avon at Keynsham, England. The Bristol Avon Navigation, which runs the 15 miles (24 km) from the Kennet and Avon Canal at Hanham Lock to the Bristol Channel at Avonmouth, was constructed between 1724 and 1727, following legislation passed by Queen Anne, by a company of proprietors and the engineer John Hore of Newbury. The first cargo of 'Deal boards, Pig-Lead and Meal' arrived in Bath in December 1727. The navigation is now administered by the Canal & River Trust. The old bridge next to the lock played a part in the Civil War as the Roundheads saved the town and also camped there for the night, using the pub now known as the Lock Keeper's Inn as a guard post. The lock opened in 1727.Just above the lock are some visitor moorings and a pub, on an island between the lock and the weir. The weir side of the island is also the mouth of the River Chew. The adjacent bridge was replaced after damage in the Great Flood of 1968.

Somerdale was a chocolate factory located in Keynsham near Bristol in South-west England, closed by Kraft foods in 2011. It was the home of a Cadbury plc production facility, and was originally built by the Fry family when they expanded through consolidation of a number of existing facilities located in the centre of Bristol.

Longwell Green is a suburb just outside the east fringe of Bristol. Longwell Green takes its name from the medieval well which used to be situated on the site of the Church. It is located within the traditional county of Gloucestershire and the unitary authority of South Gloucestershire (previously Avon). It lies along the A431 Bath Road, near the River Avon at grid reference ST658710. Population (2011 census) was 6761.Next to the A4174 are retail and leisure parks. There is a primary school, and Community Centre.

Avon Valley Country Park is a 50-acre (20 ha) country park in Keynsham, Somerset, England. The park offers a variety of rides for children including Chair-o-planes, a small children's chair swing, Dino Jeeps (a dirt track with dinosaur animatronics where children drive miniature electric jeeps), the Big Red, an outdoors drop slide, the Strawberry Line Miniature Railway, and the Play Barn (a big indoor softplay area with a drop slide which is taller than the outside one). There are also animals in Pets' Corner and the Animal Barn.The site was common grazing land in the 15th century and later became a farm. In 1976, it was purchased as a "pick-your-own" fruit farm and subsequently developed into the country park.

The Strawberry Line is a 0.75-mile (1.21 km) length of 7+1⁄2 in (190.5 mm) gauge railway inside Avon Valley Country Park (near Keynsham). It was Britain's only commercial ground-level 5 in (127 mm) railway until it became a 7.5inch gage in 2020 but it is a dual gauge so the 5in remains. As a conventional ridable miniature railway it provides train rides for visitors to the park now included in the price of admission since it was taken over by the park in 2018. It now runs mainly 1 train, a large electric mock steam train although they do own a small electric one, a traditional steam and a big petrol train.
