Bunratty

The siege of Bunratty took place in County Clare in 1646 and was part of the Irish Confederate Wars, the Irish theatre of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms.

Bunratty Castle (Irish: Caisleán Bhun Raithe, meaning 'Castle at the Mouth of the Ratty') is a large 15th-century tower house in County Clare, Ireland. It is located in the centre of Bunratty village (Irish: Bun Ráite), by the N18 road between Limerick and Ennis, near Shannon Town and its airport. The castle and the adjoining folk park are run by Shannon Heritage as tourist attractions.

Shannon, officially - but largely unused - St. Senan's Parish, is a parish in County Clare and part of the Tradaree grouping of parishes within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. It is a split off of the parish of Newmarket-on-Fergus: 205 As of 2021, the co-parish priest is Arnold Rosney.The main church of the parish is the Church of the Immaculate Mother of God, built in 1966.: 205 The second church of the parish is the Church of St. John and St. Paul. This church was built in 1980. The bell was a donation of the Kilnasoolagh Church of Ireland parish and was used in the defunct church of Sixmilebridge. The bell had an engraving from 1771. The third church is the Adoration Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration, named as such in 1996. It began its career as an oratory dedicated to Our Lady of the Wayside.: 206 The first church in the parish was an oratory on Shannon Airport, that served travellers, airport staff and later inhabitants of Shannon Town. It was demolished when the old terminal was replaced by a new terminal building. The original oratory was serviced by the clergy of Newmarket-on-Fergus.: 205 

Shannon (Irish: Sionainn) or Shannon Town (Baile na Sionnainne), named after the river near which it stands, is a town in County Clare, Ireland. It was given town status on 1 January 1982. The town is located just off the N19 road, a spur of the N18/M18 road between Limerick and Ennis. It is the location of Shannon Airport, an international airport serving the Clare/Limerick region in the west of Ireland.

Ralahine (Irish, Ráth Fhlaithín) is a townland of County Clare, it is best known for its historic and extraordinary experiment in communism in 1831, long before communism, as we have come to know it, became a reality. The Ralahine Commune was a cooperative society and commune founded in 1831 on the estate of John Vandeleur at Ralahine, Newmarket-on-Fergus, County Clare, Ireland. In an attempt to keep his tenants away from secret societies like the "Ribbonmen", he brought a socialist named Edward Thomas Craig from England to advise him on the establishment of the commune, which came into existence on 7 November 1831.

Sixmilebridge railway station is a railway station that serves the village of Sixmilebridge in County Clare, Ireland. It is located on the Shannon Road less than 1 km from the village. All Limerick-Ennis and Limerick-Galway trains stop here.

O'Garney Park (Irish: Páirc Uí gCearnaigh) is a GAA stadium in Sixmilebridge, County Clare, Ireland. It is the home of Sixmilebridge GAA club and is one of the main grounds of Clare GAA's Gaelic football and hurling teams.It can hold about 7,000 spectators, including an 800-seater stand. It first saw inter-county use in the 1994–95 National Hurling League. Today, it sees inter-county hurling in the Munster Senior Hurling League.
