Hodan Nalayeh Secondary School

CFU758 is a low-power broadcaster, using the on-air brand 90.7 RAV FM. It is the only licensed high school radio station in Thornhill, Ontario and is owned and operated by Hodan Nalayeh Secondary School. RAV FM is part of the school's radio broadcasting course, and is one of a small number of Canadian radio stations licensed to a high school.

Concord is a suburban industrial district in the City of Vaughan in York Region, located north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. According to the 2001 Census, Concord has 8,255 residents. It is accessed by two provincial highways: Highway 407 and Highway 400. Concord's approximate boundaries are Steeles Avenue to the south, Highway 400 to the west, Dufferin Street to the east, and Rutherford Road to the north, though it includes the Carrville neighbourhood east to Bathurst Street between Rutherford and Highway 7. The area along Highway 7, from Highway 400 to just east of Jane Street, though still often considered by many to be part of Concord, is now officially a new district, the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, which is Vaughan's planned urban core.

St. Elizabeth Catholic High School is a high school in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. St. Elizabeth CHS was founded by the York Catholic District School Board in 1987, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2007. St. Elizabeth is the home of Regional Arts Program for drama, dance, visual arts, and music students in York Region. The enrolment averages between 1300 and 1500 students per school year. In the beginning, St. Elizabeth consisted of (and was only open to) grade nine students. However, the school added the tenth grade for the 1988–1989 school year and the eleventh grade for the remainder of 1989. Due to the overpopulation of school enrolment, a change of site was announced and the current location began construction in 1988. Once completed in January 1990, it was officially opened to students and staff in February 1990. The high school's original location (at 21 Mullen Drive in Thornhill) was changed to Holy Family Catholic School, and officially opened in September 1990.

Promenade, officially Promenade Shopping Centre or Promenade Mall, is a major shopping centre located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The mall has over 150 tenants, and is anchored by T&T Supermarket and Imagine Cinemas.

York University GO Station was a train station on GO Transit's Barrie line, in the North York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station served York University but was located in an industrial area 1.6 km (1 mi) away from the York campus; it was connected by a shuttle bus service privately operated by the university. The station was only served on weekdays, southbound during the morning peak period and northbound during the afternoon peak period; its replacement, the nearby Downsview Park station, provides a connection from midday, evening, weekend, and holiday GO trains to the university at all times via a two-stop trip on the Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) Line 1 subway. The station was permanently closed on July 19, 2021. It was demolished in April 2022, with only a concrete ledge and some signage remaining.

Westmount Collegiate Institute is a high school in the Thornhill, Ontario district of the greater city of Vaughan. It opened its doors in 1996, as part of the multi-purpose campus now known as the Jean Augustine Complex, named for Jean Augustine, the first African Canadian woman elected to Parliament and appointed to the federal cabinet. The complex contains the high school, Rosemount Community Centre, and the City Playhouse Theatre, to which the school is given limited access. The school is part of the York Region District School Board. Westmount is one of the 29 secondary schools in the board which comprises 191 schools altogether. Westmount is known for its arts program and its strong academic program. Many awards have been given to recognize the art, drama, dance, and music program known as ArtsWest. Mathematics and the sciences were also recognized with York Regional awards. The school is three levels with the first floor hosting many Arts, tech classes and the gymnasium, the second floor is prevalent in languages, and the third floor has many computer based classes, mathematics, business, and sciences.

Kollel Ohr Yosef is an institute of rabbinic study in Ontario, Canada, serving the Thornhill and northern Toronto communities. As a "community kollel", its faculty engages in advanced study and also reaches out to the community by offering free informal sessions and religious guidance, literally on a constant basis. The open-door institute also hosts all conventional prayers, including holiday services. The Kollel is recognized as a place where one can drop in spontaneously to connect with friendly and knowledgeable scholars. It aims to permit the Torah to speak with its original, authentic voice. The faculty's energy is devoted especially to religious engagement and the dissemination of scholarship. The Kollel's widespread financial support is purely voluntary. Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto (Hebrew: ק״ק בית אברהם יוסף), also known as the BAYT, is a Modern Orthodox synagogue in the Toronto suburb of Thornhill, Ontario, and is one of the largest Orthodox synagogues in North America. The synagogue attracts Jews from a variety of religious backgrounds with what it calls the "warmth of Torah tradition". It also serves as a social hall for many social events in the Toronto Jewish community.

The Russian Youth Theatre was the first stationary Russian theatre in North America until 2012. Founded in 1999 by operatic bass Nikolay Cherkasov and pianist Andrew Kartuzov, the theatre promotes stage arts within Canada's Russian community with a number of semi-professional productions for all ages. Staged productions include Samuil Marshak's The Cat's Mansion and Twelve Months, Cinderella and The Dragon by Evgeny Shvarts, Town Musicians of Bremen, The Woes of Wit by Aleksander Griboyedov, There Was a War Tomorrow by Boris Vasiliev, Funtik's Adventures, Nikolai Gogol's The Inspector General, The Nutcracker, Pinocchio, Mama, Karlsson-on-the-Roof, Love's Sublimation, Snow White, Cat Leopold New Year Adventures, Love For Three Oranges and many others. Over the years, the Russian Youth Theatre's creative team has included artistic directors Nikolay Cherkasov, Valentina Souetova, and Gennadiy Dolganov, music director Andrew Kartuzov, choreographer Ekaterina Kornienkova, and costume designers Ekaterina Maryevych and Inessa Gorina.

Netivot HaTorah Day School (Hebrew: נתיבות התורה) is a private, coeducational Orthodox Jewish elementary school in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. As of 2008, it enrolls 600 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. The school is affiliated with Mercaz (formerly known as the Board of Jewish Education), the educational pillar of the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.

The Herb Carnegie Centennial Centre, formerly named the North York Centennial Centre, is a multi-purpose arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1966 and occasionally hosted the Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Hockey League. It was renamed on May 2, 2001 for Herb Carnegie, a black Canadian ice hockey pioneer. This arena hosts the North York Rangers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League team. The arena also offers leisure skating organized by the City of Toronto government. It is located at Finch Avenue and Bathurst Street in the district of North York. It is located next to the Centennial Library, a branch of Toronto Public Library. During the summer, the arena becomes a dry pad for other sports, such as lacrosse.[1].

Improve Canada is a commercial shopping mall complex located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The mall has about 400 home improvement stores, exclusively focused on home improvement products and services. The complex is owned by Oleg Chekhter.
