The Francis Xavier Knott, S.J. Knott Humanities Center, commonly known as the Humanities Center, is the oldest building on the campus of Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland. The Tudor Revival building was originally built as a private residence in 1896 by New York architecture firm Renwick, Aspinwall, and Russell.Alice Whitridge Garret, the widowed heiress to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad fortune, had the house built on the southern edge of the Garret Family’s Evergreen estate in Baltimore. It was to be a wedding present for her son Horatio and his bride Charlotte Garrett and serve as their “cottage” home. The house was nicknamed “Evergreen junior” and cost $85,000 to build. However, Horatio would die of cancer while traveling in Europe in 1896 and never see the house completed. It sat unoccupied until 1919, when the Garret Family lent the house to the Red Cross as an institution for blinded servicemen in World War I.In 1921, the Jesuits from Loyola College purchased the house and 20 surrounding acres from the Garret Family to relocate their campus from Calvert Street. The college initially used the house for academic space, but in 1924 converted it into the Jesuit priest’s residence and renamed the house Jesuit House. The house was expanded in 1939, but was severely damaged by a fire in 1955. The building was rebuilt and significantly expanded from 1956 to 1958. In 1992, Loyola undertook a $6 million renovation to Jesuit House to consolidate 16 academic departments into a newly converted Humanities Center. The Jesuit priests were relocated to a smaller residence across Millbrook Rd called Millbrook House, now known as Ignatius House. The renovation included a 30,000 square foot addition to the rear of the former Jesuit House. The college hired architecture firm Frank Gant Architects to oversee the renovation. In 2011, the popular Netflix drama series House of Cards filmed scenes inside the Humanities Center.Today the Humanities Center serves a number of departments and offices, houses the office of the president, the admissions office and includes a popular dining area known as the refectory.

Reitz Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Baltimore, Maryland. It is home to the Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the Loyola women's volleyball team. Its seating capacity is 2,100. The arena, adjoining the Andrew White Student Center, has fully retractable seating on both sidelines of the arena to create a full sized ballroom. It replaced the original 1926 Evergreen Gymnasium, directly next to the arena in the Andrew White Student Center.

Loyola University Maryland is a private Jesuit university in Baltimore, Maryland. Established as Loyola College in Maryland by John Early and eight other members of the Society of Jesus in 1852, it is the ninth-oldest Jesuit college in the United States and the first college in the United States to bear the name of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.Loyola's main campus is in Baltimore and features Collegiate Gothic architecture and a pedestrian bridge across Charles Street. The university is academically divided into three schools: the Loyola College of Arts and Sciences, the Loyola School of Education, and the Sellinger School of Business and Management. The student body comprises approximately 4,000 undergraduate and 1,900 graduate students, representing 39 states and 44 countries, and 84% of undergraduates reside on campus. The average class size is 20, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1. Approximately 73% of the student body receives some form of financial aid. Campus groups include the Association of Latin American & Spanish students (ALAS) and the Greyhound college newspaper. There is also the student-run, online-only publication, The Rival. This publication features opinion, commentary, and satire in its three sections: campus, culture, and current. Notable alumni include Tom Clancy, author of many notable books such as The Hunt for Red October, and Mark Bowden, author of Black Hawk Down. Loyola's sports teams are nicknamed the Greyhounds and are best known for the perennially ranked men's and women's lacrosse teams. The men's lacrosse team's biggest rival is nearby Johns Hopkins University. The annual lacrosse games played between these two institutions is known as the "Battle of Charles Street". The school colors are green and grey.

Notre Dame of Maryland University is a private Catholic university in Baltimore, Maryland. NDMU offers certificate, undergraduate, and graduate programs for women and men.

The Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J. School of Business and Management is the business school of Loyola University Maryland (formerly Loyola College in Maryland) and is located on the college's main campus in Baltimore, Maryland. Formally established in 1980, the business school was named in honor of Loyola's late president Reverend Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J., although the university has been offering courses in business for over 70 years. The Sellinger School consists of seven academic departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems/ Operations Management, Management/International Business, Marketing, and Law & Social Responsibility. The Sellinger School of Business and Management is one of Loyola's three schools, the other two being the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education.

WLOY Loyola Radio is a non-commercial college radio station owned and operated by Loyola University Maryland, broadcasting on 1620 kHz AM, campus cable channels 3 and 35, and streaming on wloy.org [1], and iTunes, based in Baltimore and Timonium, Maryland. WLOY operates multiple synchronized transmission locations under Part 15 of the FCC regulations, as well as on the Internet via multiple radio formats.

Charlcote House, also known as the James Swan Frick House, is a historic home located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a three-story brick detached Classical Revival dwelling built about 1914–1916 in the Guilford development. It is one of the two identified domestic buildings in Maryland designed by John Russell Pope (the other is Woodend at Chevy Chase).Charlcote House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Loyola-Notre Dame is a neighborhood located in Baltimore, Maryland. The neighborhood is named after the two universities that occupy most of the area: Notre Dame of Maryland University and Loyola University Maryland. The neighborhood is also home to the Evergreen House owned by Johns Hopkins University. The neighborhood covers all the area owned by the two universities and Evergreen House. The neighborhood does not cover a uniform area, but does have a relative definition. The northern boundary is Homeland Avenue. The eastern boundary varies among Millbrook Road, Underwood Road and other small streets. The Radnor Village, Thomas Aquinas Hall, and Loyola Public system are also included in the neighborhood despite being separated from the rest of the Loyola campus by the Radnor-Winston and Villages of Homeland neighborhoods. The southern border is Cold Spring Lane and the western border is primarily North Charles Street. Loyola extends via a pedestrian bridge over North Charles Street along Cold Spring Lane to Stony Run stream. The Loyola Fitness and Aquatics center is also across North Charles Street. The neighborhood is unique in having a very small permanent population, but housing over 4,000 students.

Guilford is a prominent and historic neighborhood located in the northern part of Baltimore, Maryland. It is bounded on the south by University Parkway, on the west by North Charles Street, Warrenton and Linkwood Roads, on the north by Cold Spring Lane and on the east by York Road. The neighborhood is adjacent to the neighborhoods of Tuscany-Canterbury, Loyola-Notre Dame, Kernewood, Wilson Park, Pen Lucy, Waverly Oakenshawe, Charles Village, and the universities of Johns Hopkins and Loyola University Maryland. The neighborhood was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Calvert School, founded in 1897, is an independent, non-sectarian, co-educational lower and middle school located in Baltimore, Maryland. Calvert School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) as well as the Association of Independent Maryland and DC Schools (AIMS).

Cedar Grove, also known as Ridgely's Whim or Sunday's Chance, is a historic home located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a large 2+1⁄2-story, side-passage, double-pile plan house constructed about 1841. A 1+1⁄2-story wing incorporates an earlier structure, built between 1799 and 1813.Cedar Grove was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Keswick is a residential neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland. The area is mostly surrounded by, and sometimes considered a part of, the Roland Park neighborhood. It also borders the Evergreen neighborhood to the north and Guilford to the east. Keswick is delineated as south of West Cold Spring Lane, east of Kittery Lane, north of Overhill Road, and west of Stony Run stream.
