Woodbury, Connecticut

The Hotchkissville Historic District is a historic district in the town of Woodbury, Connecticut, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The district encompasses most of the historic village of Hotchkissville, which is centered at the junction of Washington and Weekeepeemee roads. The village began as a dispersed rural agricultural community, but developed in the 19th century with the arrival of industry, primarily the manufacture of textiles. Despite this, the village has retained a significantly rural character, and includes a broad cross-section of 18th- and 19th-century architectural styles.

The Woodbury Historic District No. 1 encompasses the linear town center of Woodbury, Connecticut. Extending along two miles of Main Street (United States Route 6), from Flanders Road in the north to Old Sherman Hill Road in the south, the district represents an architectural cross section of the town history, from the late 17th century to the present. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 11, 1971.

Nonnewaug High School is a public school in Woodbury, Connecticut, United States, which serves the towns of Woodbury and Bethlehem, Connecticut. It is part of Regional School District #14. Before 1970, students in the district attended Woodbury High School, which has now become the middle school. The school houses the Ellis Clark Regional Agri-Science and Technology Center, which draws students from additional surrounding areas. Nonnewaug serves approx 750 students, around a third of which are from the agriscience program. The name "Nonnewaug" comes from a local Native American Chief. The word, originally Nunnaw-auke, means “dry land".

The Glebe House is a historic house museum at 49 Hollow Road in Woodbury, Connecticut. Built about 1740, it is a prominent local example of Georgian colonial architecture. It is also important as the site of the first Episcopal Church election in the United States.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is open for regular tours between May and October, and by appointment.

The Jabez Bacon House is a historic house on Hollow Road in Woodbury, Connecticut. Built in 1760 for a prominent regional merchant, it is a well-preserved example of Georgian architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The Leroy Anderson House is a historic house at 33 Grassy Hill Road in Woodbury, Connecticut. It is a Mid-Century Modern house, built in 1953 for the noted American composer Leroy Anderson and his wife Eleanor. It is now owned by the Leroy Anderson Foundation, and is occasionally opened to the public for tours. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The David Sherman House is a historic house on Middle Quarter Road in Woodbury, Connecticut. Built about 1760, it is a well-preserved example of Colonial architecture. In 1781, David Sherman is reported to have hosted a ball for officers of the French Army of the Comte de Rochambeau during their march across Connecticut. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Minortown Road Bridge is a historic lenticular pony truss bridge in northeastern Woodbury, Connecticut. It spans the Nonewaug River, connecting U.S. Route 6 (US 6) to Minortown Road and Mill Road. Built in 1890 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, it is one a small number of surviving lenticular truss bridges in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Woodbury Historic District No. 2 encompasses a linear rural-residential area of southern Woodbury, Connecticut. It extends along the town's Main Street (United States Route 6), from the town line with Southbury in the south to the South Pomperaug Avenue junction in the north. It contains some of the town's finest examples of 18th and early 19th-century residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Woodbury Ski Area was a ski area located in Woodbury, Connecticut. This small ski area was in northwestern Connecticut, about 2 hours from New York City. The skiing and snow tubing operations were serviced by a chairlift and multiple surface lifts. Local residents referred to it as "Rod's" after its owner, Olympic skier Rod Taylor.Taylor opened the resort in 1972. Taylor took pride in Woodbury being the first ski area in Connecticut to open each season.The ski area closed in 2016 following a drought and has not reopened. It has since been bought, however, its future is uncertain. The ski area may reopen in the coming years, as work has begun to get the park operational again.
