Crookstown (Irish: An Baile Gallda, meaning 'town of the invader or foreigner') is a small village in County Cork in Ireland, about 12 km east of the town of Macroom and about 1 km off the N22 Cork–Killarney road. It had a population of 183 at the 2022 census, down from 203 in the 2016 census.

Aherla (Irish: An Eatharla) is a small village in County Cork, Ireland, with a population of approximately 570. It is in the townlands of Aherla More and Rathard. Aherla is built on a limestone shelf typical of County Cork's ridges and valleys. The village is within the Cork North-West Dáil constituency. The area features a number of historical sites and is part of the parish of Kilmurry in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cork and Ross. Though the population of the village is predominantly catholic, it has a Church of Ireland church, but no Catholic church.

Aghabullogue GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Cork, Ireland. They are affiliated to the Cork County Board and play in the mid-Cork (Muskerry) division of Cork GAA. Aghabullogue cater for both hurling and Gaelic football.

Carhue House (also known as Carhoo House) is a country house in the townland of Carhoo Lower, situated 2.2 km (1.4 mi) west of Coachford village. It is one of several such houses in mid-Cork, many of which are situated along the valley of the River Lee and its tributaries.

Coachford (Irish: Áth an Chóiste) is a village in County Cork, Ireland. It is located on the north side of the River Lee. The village is located in the civil parish of Magourney. Coachford is part of the Dáil constituency of Cork North-West. Coachford owes its name to once being a crossing point over a stream for horse-drawn coaches, and this stream continues to flow beneath the village to the present day. The Lee was flooded for a hydroelectric power plant and farmland including many houses was flooded by the newly formed lake. Coachford is located around a crossroads where the R618 and R619 regional roads intersect. Mallow is 20 miles (32 km) north of the village, Macroom is 9 miles (14 km) west, Cork City is 15 miles (24 km) east and Bandon is 20 miles (32 km) south.

Clontead Beg (from Irish Cluain Téide Bheag) is a townland within the civil parish of Magourney and Catholic parish of Aghabullogue, County Cork, Ireland. It is approximately 229 acres in size, and east of Coachford village.In the Down Survey (Muskery Map, 1656-8), it is referred to as 'Clonete Beg', but does not appear as a 'denomination' on the Down Survey parish map, nor is it mentioned in the accompanying terrier. The Ordnance Survey name book (c. 1840) describes the western end of the townland as forming the village of Coachford and the eastern end the 'Derreen Demesne'. Variations of the placename include 'Clontade', 'Clontead', 'Clontadebeg' and 'Clontade Beg'. A suggested Irish version is Cluain Téide Beg, with 'Cluain Téide' interpreted as 'plain or lawn of the green [hill]'. O'Murchú (1991) gives an Irish version of Cluain Téide, suggesting 'Téide' as meaning a plateau, or a plain on a hill; essentially 'plain of the flat-topped hill'. The Placenames Database of Ireland gives the townland an Irish name of Cluain Téide Bheag, with 'Cluain' meaning 'meadow' or 'pasture'.

Coachford College is a post primary school located in Coachford, County Cork, Ireland. Situated in the Lee Valley, 22 km west of Cork city, the catchment area stretches from Kanturk to Bandon, and from Ballincollig to Macroom. Coachford College is part of Cork Education and Training Board (ETB). As of 2017, there were over 610 students enrolled in the school, increasing to 841 students by 2023.

Clontead More (Irish: Cluain Téide Mhór) is a townland in the civil parish of Magourney and historical barony of Muskerry East in County Cork, Ireland. The townland, which is approximately 1.3 square kilometres (0.5 sq mi) in area, had a population of 75 people as of the 2011 census. Overlapping with the nearby village of Coachford, it adjoins the townlands of Clontead Beg to the south and Carrignamuck to the east.

Carhoo Lower (from Irish An Cheathrú Íochtarach) is a townland within the civil parish of Magourney and catholic parish of Aghabullogue, County Cork, Ireland. It is 284.5 acres in size, and west of Coachford village. Carhoo firstly appears c. 1590 as 'Carown' in a sketch map The description of Muskery, retained as part of the Dartmouth Map Collection, at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. In the Down Survey Maps (1656-8), it is referred to as 'Carrow' and 'Carrooe', and the accompanying terrier lists Thomas and Edmund Coppinger as proprietors by way of mortgage. The Ordnance Survey name book (c. 1840) describes Carhoo Lower as bounded on the north and east by Carhoo Upper and Leemount townlands, with a large portion being the Carhue demesne and the remainder mainly pasture. Various name versions are given, such as 'Carhoo' and 'Carhue', and an Irish version as Ceathramha (meaning quarter). O'Murchú (1991) holds Ceathrú as meaning a quarter, in this instance a measurement of land, such as a townland or ploughland, and being a smaller division than a tuath or triocha céad. The Placenames Database of Ireland gives the townland an Irish name of An Cheathrú Íochtarach, with Ceathrú meaning a quarterland.At the south-east end of the townland, is said to exist Poul Leather, a hollow within the River Lee, renowned for both its depth and treacherous current.
