Rose Tree Park

The Old Rose Tree Tavern is an historic, American inn and tavern that is located in Rose Tree Park, just north of the borough of Media, in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 21, 1971.

Upper Providence Township is a township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States, located around and to the north of the borough of Media, and approximately 15 miles (24 km) west of center city Philadelphia. The population was 10,142 at the 2010 census. The township lies between Ridley Creek on the west and Crum Creek on the east. Most of Ridley Creek State Park is in the township, towards the northern edge. Zoning is 98% residential, 1% commercial and 1% industrial, with minimal space zoned to commercial business.

It has approximately 3,700 students in its six schools. The superintendent is Eleanor DiMarino-Linnen.The district includes the following municipalities: Media, Edgmont Township, Middletown Township, and Upper Providence Township.In the school year 2021-2022, the district provided basic educational services to 4,068 pupils with 297 teachers, 339 other staff, and 18.5 administrators. The district received more than $17 million in state funding in school year 2019–2020.According to 2017-21 ACS-ED data, the district serves a resident population of 37,141. The median household income is $103,810, versus a state median income of $67,587, and national median income of $69,021.

Media Cemetery is a historic cemetery established in 1857 in Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania. It is located at 40 Kirk Lane and is 21 acres in size. In 1928, the cemetery merged with the adjacent West Media Cemetery and became a non-profit entity.

Media is a borough in and the county seat of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located about 13 miles (21 km) west of Philadelphia. It is part of the Delaware Valley. Media was incorporated in 1850 at the same time that it was named the county seat. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the population was 5,991.

Media–Orange Street station is a light rail station in Media, Pennsylvania. It is a street running stop located at Orange and State Streets in Downtown Media. There are no physical platforms; passengers board and exit trolleys directly from street level. Trolley service is provided by SEPTA Route 101 and runs east to 69th Street Transportation Center in Upper Darby. Orange Street is the westernmost station on the line, and is unusual in that the tracks simply and abruptly dead-end in the middle of the street; there is no bumper block, balloon loop, or train yard at this location. Orange Street station is located approximately 0.4 miles away from the Media regional rail station, served by the Media/Wawa Line. However, no direct connection exists between the light rail and regional rail stations and no free transfers or timed connections are provided. There is also a similarly indirect connection to the Route 110 local bus operating approximately 2 blocks south on Baltimore Avenue.

The Media Armory, is a historic National Guard Armory located in Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania built in 1908 for Company H of the 6th Infantry Regiment of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
