Castlelyons Friary is a former Carmelite Priory and National Monument located in County Cork, Ireland.

Castlelyons GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club located in the small town of Castlelyons in east County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with Cork county board and Imokilly division.

Bridebridge (Irish: Droichead na Bríde) is a village in County Cork, Ireland, just south of Castlelyons. The village is named for the stone bridge across the River Bride, at the south end of the village. The population was 187 at the 2016 census. The local soccer club is Castlebridge Celtic.

Clondulane (Irish: Cluain Dalláin) is a village in north County Cork, Ireland, 3.5m east of Fermoy, just off the Main Fermoy-Dungarvan Road. Originally built as a camp for the workers of a Cork Milling Company grain mill, it now has a population of over 400. Clondulane is part of the Cork East Dáil constituency. There are three large houses of note in the village: Clondulane, Glandulane, and Careysville Houses, the latter being owned by the Duke of Devonshire (England) and used as a lodging house during the salmon season. Along with several housing estates and many stand alone dwellings, there is a school, community centre, public house, playing fields, park, disused railway station, factory, a Protestant school, Protestant church and graveyard.

Bride Rovers GAA is a Gaelic games club located in the villages of Rathcormac and Bartlemy in east County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club fields Gaelic football and hurling teams in Cork GAA and Imokilly GAA divisional competitions. They were runners up in the Cork senior hurling championship in 2008 to winners Sarsfields. The club colours are green white and yellow.

St Colman's College (Irish: Coláiste Cholmáin) is an all-boys voluntary secondary school, and former boarding school, in Fermoy, County Cork. The College was founded in 1856 and opened in 1858 as the diocesan college of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cloyne. Archbishop Thomas Croke, after whom Croke Park is named, became the school's first President in this year. The College is renowned for its sporting history.

Fermoy (Irish: Mainistir Fhear Maí, meaning 'monastery of the Men of the Plain') is a town on the River Blackwater in east County Cork, Ireland. As of the 2016 census, the town and environs had a population of approximately 6,500 people. It is located in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, and is in the Dáil constituency of Cork East. The town's name comes from the Irish and refers to a Cistercian abbey founded in the 13th century.

The Battle of Cloghleagh, Cloghlea, Cloughleagh, Cloughleigh also known as the Battle of Funcheon Ford or the Battle of Manning Water, was a battle fought between a Royalist force and an Irish Confederate force during the Irish Confederate Wars. It took place south of Kilworth and north of Fermoy between the river Funcheon and the river Blackwater in County Cork on 4 June 1643. The result was an Irish Confederate victory.

Fermoy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association based in the town of Fermoy, Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in competitions organized by the Cork GAA county board and the Avondhu GAA divisional board. The club plays both Gaelic football and hurling.
