St. Brigid's National School is a primary national school for boys and girls. It is located off Beechpark Avenue in Castleknock, Fingal, Ireland. It has a Roman Catholic ethos.

The Steward's Lodge is a house which was originally part of the Farmleigh estate, alongside the Phoenix Park in Dublin. It is sometimes used as a residence by the Taoiseach of Ireland.

St Brigid's GAA Club (Irish: Cumann Naomh Bríd) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Castleknock, Fingal, Ireland which serves Castleknock, Clonsilla, Blanchardstown and Corduff. Its main grounds are at Russell Park, and it also has grounds in Castleknock at Beech Park and College Fort. The club supports 70 teams, from nursery level (four- to seven-year-olds) to adults, in hurling, football, camogie, women's football, handball and badminton. In 2003, St Brigid's GAA won their first Dublin Senior Football Championship and Leinster Senior Club Football Championship. The club won their second Dublin Senior Football Championship in 2011, but lost the year's Leinster Final to Garrycastle in an injury-time free goal. St Brigid's senior hurlers lost the 2003 Senior A Hurling final to Craobh Chiarán and the 2019 final to Cuala. The team lost in the semi-finals in 2011 and 2013. St Brigid's senior hurlers won the Senior B and AHL 2 League titles in 2010 and 2014. The club has rivalries with the Castleknock GAA and Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh GAA clubs. Dual All Ireland Handball Senior Singles champion Eoin Kennedy is a club member.Jack Chambers, who served as Minister for Sport from 2020, is a member of the club.

Farmleigh is the official Irish state guest house. It was formerly one of the Dublin residences of the Guinness family. It is situated on an elevated position above the River Liffey to the north-west of the Phoenix Park, in Castleknock. The estate of 78 acres (32 ha) consists of extensive private gardens with stands of mature cypress, pine and oak trees, a boating pond, walled garden, sunken garden, out offices and a herd of rare native Kerry cattle. It was purchased by the Government of Ireland from the 4th Earl of Iveagh in 1999 for €29.2 million. A state body—the Office of Public Works (OPW)—spent in the region of €23 million restoring the house, gardens and curvilinear glasshouses, bringing the total cost to the state to €52.2 million. Farmleigh was opened to the public in July 2001.

Castleknock College (Irish: Coláiste Caisleán Cnucha) is a voluntary Vincentian secondary school for boys, situated in the residential suburb of Castleknock, eight km (5.0 mi) west of Dublin city centre, Ireland. Founded in 1835 by Philip Dowley, it is one of the oldest boys schools in Ireland. Although priority is given to those of the main Catholic tradition, as a Christian school, it is attended by students of other denominations and faiths. The school's colours are navy and sky blue. The school crest is a book, symbolising education, a cross, symbolising Catholicism, the Irish shamrock, symbolising the success of the Vincentians in Ireland and the papal tiara, symbolising loyalty to the Holy See.

Castleknock Castle is a ruined Norman castle located on the grounds of present-day all boys independent school Castleknock College, Castleknock, Dublin, Ireland.

Castleknock (Irish: Caisleán Cnucha) is a civil parish and a townland located in the south-western corner of the modern county of Fingal, Ireland. The civil parish is part of the ancient barony of Castleknock. It is centred on the suburban village of Castleknock. The townland of Castleknock itself is the location of the eponymous "Cnucha's Castle" – Castleknock Castle. The town with the biggest population in the parish is Blanchardstown. In geology, the parish rests on a substratum of limestone and comprises 2943 statute acres, the whole of which is arable land.

The Farmleigh Bridge (Irish: Droichead Farmleigh), also known as the Silver Bridge, Guinness Bridge or Strawberry Beds Bridge, is a disused bridge spanning the River Liffey and the Lower Lucan Road in the Strawberry Beds, Dublin, Ireland. Farmleigh Bridge is a single-span cast iron box truss bridge. It is about 52 m (170 ft) long and is supported by two stone and masonry supports faced with cut limestone blocks, and embellished with buttresses and round-headed arches. In an 1836 Ordnance Survey map of the Strawberry Beds area, two ferries are depicted as operating on the Liffey. One was situated at the bottom of Knockmaroon Hill and the other was a half-mile upstream where the current Farmleigh Bridge now stands. It is suspected that the ferry at this site was a private operation for the Guinness family as they owned land on the south bank of the river. It is understood the iron bridge eventually replaced the ferry and was probably built by the engineering department of the Guinness Brewery. It was built in the 1870s to carry water pipes and electricity lines from the mill race turbine to the nearby Farmleigh House and the clock tower (which housed a large water tank), by Edward Cecil Guinness who had bought the estate in 1872. There were ornate gates at either end of the bridge and a tunnel entrance where it ended abruptly in the side of a hill. The pipes and cables were covered by a deck for pedestrian use. Privately built by the Guinness family, it was also used by staff who lived on the south side of the river (by Palmerstown) as a short-cut to the grand house.The bridge (near the Angler's Rest pub) is long disused, with no remaining base or platform to carry traffic. Though the elaborate stone gateway remains, the tunnel is no longer accessible and has been collapsed.As of late 2015, campaigners had initiated a petition for the bridge to be restored and used as part of a Liffey greenway plan. However, as of mid-2016, no funding had been allocated by Fingal County Council to renovation of the bridge.In 2021 it was featured in the RTÉ One television series Droichid na hÉireann.

Castleknock is a railway station that serves the suburban centres of Castleknock and Blanchardstown in Fingal, Ireland. It lies on the Dublin to Longford commuter route and is served by Western Commuter services from Pearse Station to Maynooth and Docklands to M3 Parkway.

St Thomas, the Apostle parish is an ecclesiastical parish in the Blanchardstown deanery of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin. It is served by the church of "St Thomas, the Apostle". The parish is centered on "Laurel Lodge" district and the townland of Carpenterstown in the civil parish of Castleknock, Fingal in Ireland. On 6 June 2018, the Archbishop of Dublin, Diarmuid Martin, concelebrated mass in the parish church on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the laying of the building's foundation stone.
