Ridley High School

Ridley School District is a large, suburban public school district in southeastern Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It serves the residents of Ridley Township, and the boroughs of Ridley Park and Eddystone. Ridley School District encompasses approximately 8 square miles. The district has one high school, one middle school, and seven elementary schools. According to 2017-21 ACS-ED data, the district serves a resident population of 40,369. The median household income is $77,304, versus a state median income of $67,587, and national median income of $69,021.

Ridley Township is a township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 30,768 at the 2010 census. Ridley Township contains the (CDPs) of Folsom and Woodlyn, along with the unincorporated communities of Crum Lynne and Holmes and a portion of Secane.

WRSD, known as "Ridley School District Radio", is a variety radio station which is broadcast in the Philadelphia area. The station is broadcast locally from a transmitter located in Folsom, Pennsylvania, and covers a fairly large radius around the Folsom, Pennsylvania area. WRSD features a variety of programming, which is done during the school year by students of Ridley High School.

Swarthmore ( SWORTH-mor, locally SWAHTH-mor) is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. Swarthmore was originally named "Westdale" in honor of noted painter Benjamin West, who was one of the early residents of the town. The name was changed to "Swarthmore" after the establishment of Swarthmore College. The borough population was 6,194 as of the 2010 census.

Ridley Park is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,002 at the 2010 census. Ridley Park is the home of Boeing's CH-47 Chinook helicopter division.

Woodlyn is a census-designated place (CDP) in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,485 at the 2010 census, down from 10,036 at the 2000 census. It is a part of Ridley Township, and children residing within the community generally attend schools in the Ridley School District. Woodlyn is served by the Woodlyn Fire Co. for fire, rescue and EMS services.

Ridley Park station is a station along the Northeast Corridor. Amtrak does not stop here; only SEPTA's Wilmington/Newark Line trains serve this station. It is located at Hinckley & Morton Avenues in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, and contains a one-story station house similar to that of Media Regional Rail station built into the embankment next to a platform, as well as a passenger drop-off area at Hinckley Avenue and Lincoln Street. Another platform also exists on the opposite side of the tracks on Ridley & Morton Avenues. Access between the two platforms is available from the nearby Ward Street Bridge just west of the station. The current Ridley Park station was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad as a replacement for a much more elaborate station house which was built over the tracks by the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad during the 19th century. The current station building opened in 1942 and was designed by architect Lester C. Tichy in association with designer Raymond Loewy. Morton station, also known as Morton–Rutledge station, is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Morton, Pennsylvania. Located at Yale and Morton Avenues, it serves the Media/Wawa Line. While the south, inbound platform of the station is in Morton Borough, the north, outbound side is in Springfield Township. Both dollar-a-day and permit parking are available. In 2013, this station saw 720 boardings and 657 alightings on an average weekday.

Swarthmore station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. Located on Chester Road between downtown Swarthmore and Swarthmore College, it serves the Media/Wawa Line. In 2013, this station saw 765 boardings and 699 alightings on an average weekday. Dollar-a-day parking and permit parking are available. It is the first outward-bound Zone 3 station from the central Philadelphia stations. It is the busiest station on the Media/Wawa Line outside of Center City. The adult fare to and from Central Philadelphia is currently $5 during off-peak hours, with an additional $2 surcharge assessed for those who buy a ticket on the train, regardless of whether the ticket window is open. The ticket office is located on the inbound side of the tracks in a building used otherwise by Swarthmore College and the Chester Children's Chorus. The building was originally built in 1880 by the Pennsylvania Railroad and formerly held the Jumping Cow cafe. Swarthmore's main street, Chester Road, has passed under the station since 1931. Before Swarthmore College was opened, the station was known as Westdale.
