Ennistymon

Ennistymon parish is a parish in County Clare and part of the Kilfenora Deanery of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. In the past, the parish was named Kilmanaheen. It is centred upon the villages of Ennistymon and Lahinch. Current (2021) parish priest is William Cummins and current curate is Des Forde.The parish is amalgamated with the former parish of Clooney.The main church of the parish is the Church of Our Lady and St Michael in Ennistymon, built in 1954 by Fr. John Jennings. The second church of the parish is the Church of Our Lady The Immaculate Conception in Lahinch, also built in 1954. Both 1954 churches replaced older churches. The third church of the parish is the Church of St. Columba in Clouna, built in 1846 by Fr. John Sheehan.In the townland Furglan, the old national school was used as a auxiliary church. Later on, it was closed due to changing demands.

CBS Ennistymon is an all-boys secondary school located in Ennistymon, County Clare. It was founded in 1824 by Edmund Ignatius Rice and is one of the oldest Christian Brothers schools in Ireland. It is also the only all-boys school in Co. Clare. The last brother to be principal (Brother Ned Hayden) left the school in 1996; Micheál Ó Maolchaoin was acting principal for 2 years and then became the first lay principal of the school. The current secondary school was built in 1974; a primary school was opened in 1939 and was closed in early 2000.

Ennistymon House (sometimes also Ennistimon House) was a former country house in the village of Ennistymon, County Clare in Ireland. Built on the elevated site of a medieval castle it has now been incorporated into the Falls Hotel.

The Inagh River is a river of County Clare, western Ireland. It takes in the Dealagh River and flows into Liscannor Bay at Lahinch after flowing through Lahinch Golf Course. The ruins of Dough Castle lie on its banks on the golf course, as once also did O'Brien's Castle, and it is crossed by a bridge of the same name.

The Dealagh is a river of County Clare, western Ireland. It converges with the Inagh River at Lahinch Golf Course and flows into Liscannor Bay at Lahinch. The river is popular with anglers fishing trout between March and September.

Clooney (Irish: Cluaine) is a civil parish in County Clare, Ireland. It comprises the hamlets of Clooney (north and south), to the east of Ennistymon.

Lahinch or Lehinch (Irish: An Leacht or Irish: Leacht Uí Chonchubhair, meaning 'The Memorial cairn of O'Connor') is a small town on Liscannor Bay, on the northwest coast of County Clare, Ireland. It lies on the N67 national secondary road, between Milltown Malbay and Ennistymon, roughly 75 kilometres (47 mi) by road southwest of Galway and 68 kilometres (42 mi) northwest of Limerick. The town is a seaside resort and is home to the Lahinch Golf Club. It has become a popular surfing location.

Lahinch Golf Club is a links golf course in western Ireland, in the town of Lahinch on the northwest coast of County Clare in northern Munster. It is situated approximately thirty-two kilometres (20 mi) northwest of the town of Ennis. In 2016, Golf Digest ranked the Old Course at Lahinch #65 on their list of the world's greatest golf courses.It was founded 130 years ago in 1892 by Alexander W. Shaw and Richard J. Plummer, officials of Limerick Golf Club. They laid out an 18-hole course, the original course had ten holes on each side of the road. It has been described as the "St. Andrew's" of Ireland. The original links was laid out by Old Tom Morris; Alister MacKenzie, who co-designed Augusta National Golf Club, redesigned the Old Course and extended the links in 1927 for a fee of £2000. Lahinch is actually two 18-hole courses, the Old Course, is between the road and the sea, situated at the opposite side of the road from the Old Course is the Castle Course. The Castle Course is a flatter links named after the ruins of a nearby castle tower that stands to the north of the course. One unusual feature of the Old Course is the presence of goats which are allowed to roam freely across the course. They were originally owned by a caddie who lived near the course, and in 1956 a goat was incorporated into the club's logo.Lahinch Golf Club is home to the South of Ireland Championship, an amateur golf tournament which began in 1895. Notable winners include Joe Carr in 1969, Darren Clarke in 1989, Paul McGinley in 1991 and Graeme McDowell in 2000. Ireland's Pádraig Harrington finished runner up on two occasions.Lahinch Golf Club hosted the 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, which was played from 4–7 July. The tournament was hosted by Paul McGinley and won by Jon Rahm.

Killaspuglonane (Irish: Cill Easpaig Lonáin) is a civil parish in County Clare, Ireland.
