Line 6 Finch West, also known as the Finch West LRT, is a light rail line under construction in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to be operated by the Toronto Transit Commission. The 10.3-kilometre (6.4 mi), 18-stop line is to extend from Finch West station on Line 1 Yonge–University to the North Campus of Humber College in Etobicoke. The line will operate in a dedicated above-ground right-of-way, much of it within Finch Avenue, segregated from street traffic. The line will use transit signal priority and standard gauge rather than the broad Toronto gauge. The line is forecast to carry about 14.6 million rides a year or 40,000 a day by 2031 and will replace the 36 Finch West bus route (west from Finch West station), which is one of the three busiest bus routes in Toronto. The line is expected to open within the first half of 2024, with an estimated cost of CA$2.5 billion. For budget purposes, the TTC made the assumption that Line 6 would open no earlier than September 2024.

Humber River—Black Creek is a federal electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1867 to 1904 and since 1917. Prior to the 2015 election, the riding was known as York West. The former name reflects the riding is in the former Township of York which is within the City of Toronto. As per the 2016 Census, Humber River—Black Creek is the City of Toronto riding with the highest percentage of people belonging to the Latin American (9.5%) and Southeast Asian (8.9%) communities. It is also the City of Toronto riding with the highest percentage of people of Jamaican (8.5%) and Vietnamese (8.0%) ethnic origins. At the same time, it is one of only two (2) City of Toronto ridings (besides Etobicoke Centre), where Italian is the largest ethnic community (12.8%).

Humber River—Black Creek is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1999. Prior to the 2018 election, the riding was known as York West. Its population was 110,384 in 2001. The district includes the northwest corner of the former city of North York, including the extreme western part of the Downsview neighbourhood. It consists of the part of the City of Toronto bounded on the north by the northern city limit, and on the east, south and west by a line drawn from the city limit south along Keele Street, west along Grandravine Drive, southeast along Black Creek, west along Sheppard Avenue West, south along Jane Street, west along Highway 401, and northwest along the Humber River to the northern city limit. The riding is represented by Tom Rakocevic in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Regina Pacis Catholic Secondary School (Regina Pacis CSS, RPCSS, Regina Pacis High, or Pacis in short) is a former Catholic secondary school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. From 1980 to 2002, it was operated by the Toronto Catholic District School Board serving the Downsview neighbourhood. The name Regina Pacis comes from Latin which means Queen of Peace, referring to the Virgin Mary.

Sobeys Stadium, formerly Aviva Centre and Rexall Centre, is a tennis stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 12,500-capacity Stadium Court is the largest stadium at the tennis complex. Sobeys Stadium is the venue for the National Bank Open presented by Rogers, a professional tournament on the ATP World Tour and WTA circuits, held annually. Beginning 2021, Sobeys Stadium hosts the men's tournament in odd-numbered years and the women's event in even-numbered years, with the other gender's event held in Montreal in those years. The facility also is a year-round tennis training facility. The main stadium is occasionally used for seasonal concerts. Sobeys Stadium is located on the grounds of York University's Keele Campus in North York, Toronto.

Black Creek Pioneer Village, previously Dalziel Pioneer Park, is an open-air heritage museum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The village is located in the North York district of Toronto, just west of York University and southeast of the Jane and Steeles intersection. It overlooks Black Creek, a tributary of the Humber River. The village is a recreation of life in 19th-century Ontario and gives an idea how rural Ontario might have looked in the early-to-mid-19th century. The village is a regular destination for field trips by schoolchildren from the Greater Toronto Area. It was opened in 1960 and is operated by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.Napier Simpson, 1925-1978, a restoration architect in Ontario devoted his professional life to raising public awareness of the importance of heritage conservation including the Black Creek Pioneer Village project.

C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute is a semestered public secondary school in the Keele and Finch area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Canlan Sports – York is an ice hockey arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and is operated by Canlan Ice Sports Corporation. It is the main ice rink at York University's Keele Campus, as the home of the York Lions men's and women's varsity hockey teams. It is also the home of the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation. The facility opened in 1996 as the Beatrice Ice Gardens, and has one Olympic-sized and five NHL-sized ice rinks. The seating capacity for the largest rink is 1,200. The arena has also been used for National Hockey League training camps. The current complex replaced the York University Ice Palace, built in 1968. The building lacked seating for spectators, and has since been converted into the Sherman Health Science Research Centre. The arena was purchased by Canlan Ice Sports in August 2007. On 1 October 2020, the Toronto Six announced they had an agreement in place to play their inaugural season in the Premier Hockey Federation, known at the time as the National Women's Hockey League, at the facility, as well as having locker rooms built out specifically for the team.

York University Heights, also known as Northwood Park, is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of Toronto's northernmost neighbourhoods, located along the northern boundary of Steeles Avenue in the former city of North York. The neighbourhood is so named because it contains the main campus of York University. This area is most popular with immigrants of Italian and Chinese descent who have established communities in the area. It is located between Sheppard Avenue and Steeles Avenue east of Black Creek (Derrydowns Park). The neighborhood contains many private residences, many of which are detached and semi-detached bungalows, townhouses as well as a recent new urbanism development, the Village at York, there is also a handful of condominiums, several lowrise apartments, and a few high rise apartments.

Osgoode Hall Law School, commonly shortened to Osgoode, is the law school of York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The law school is home to the Law Commission of Ontario, the Journal of Law and Social Policy, and the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. A variety of LL.M. and Ph.D. degrees in law are available. Its alumni include two Canadian prime ministers, eight premiers of Ontario, and eleven Justices of the Supreme Court of Canada, four of whom were Chief Justices. The current dean of the law school is Trevor C.W. Farrow.

The Tait McKenzie Centre is an athletic facility located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at York University. The building is named for R. Tait McKenzie, a renowned sculptor, doctor, soldier, physical educator, and athlete. The building was based on the overall campus design concept in the 1960s under the joint venture UPACE (with John B. Parkin Associates, Shore and Moffat and Partners, Gordon S. Adamson and Associates). The facility consists of 45 cardio machines, four gymnasiums and a 25-metre (82 ft) swimming pool, among other amenities.The York University badminton, basketball, volleyball, swimming and water polo teams use this facility as their venue. The facility hosted the basketball and volleyball competition of the 2017 North American Indigenous Games.
