Manulife Place is a highrise office building and shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was completed in 1983 and designed by Clifford Lawrie Bolton Ritchie Architects. It is located at the corner of 102 Avenue and 101 Street in downtown Edmonton. Naming rights of the complex are held by insurer Manulife. The building has a two level shopping concourse. Manulife Place is connected by the Edmonton Pedway to Edmonton City Centre and Commerce Place. At 146 meters (479 ft) tall, with 36 floors, it was the tallest building in Edmonton from 1983 until 2011. In 2011, it was overtaken by Epcor Tower at 149.4 meters (490 ft).

102 Street stop is a tram stop under construction in the Edmonton Light Rail Transit network in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It will serve the Valley Line and will be the terminus station until the line is extended west. It is located on the north side of 102 Avenue between 101 and 102 Streets, in Downtown Edmonton. The stop is scheduled to open in 2022.

Enbridge Centre is a 28-storey office tower in Edmonton, Alberta. The facade of the building uses the bricks from the historic Kelly Ramsey Building, which previously occupied the site. It is located on 101 St. NW, and is connected to the Pedway network.

Scotia Place is an office tower complex in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that was completed in 1983. It is located at 10060 Jasper Avenue in the heart of Downtown Edmonton. It is home to several long term tenants such as Grant Thornton, APEGGA, Ernst & Young, Duncan Craig LLP and Edmonton Transit. The namesake of the complex is Scotiabank. The tallest tower in the complex is Scotia 1, with 28 floors reaching 113 m (371 ft). Followed by Scotia 2, with 21 floors reaching 88 m (289 ft).

The Starlite Room is a 1925 brick building in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, one block south of Jasper Avenue, the city's main street. The building was originally built as a "citadel" (church or place of worship) for the Salvation Army. By 1965 it was converted into the first venue of the Citadel Theatre company, with the company taking its name from the name of the building. After the company moved to a new purpose-built theatre building on Churchill Square in 1978, the building was converted to a concert hall and bar. The concert venue inside was for many years named the Rev Cabaret. Under this name, it hosted a variety of concerts including early 1990s shows of then-unknown American bands Nirvana and Green Day. In 2003 the Rev closed, and was reopened as the Starlite Room in 2004, which operates as a members-only club. The lounge/bar downstairs is called "River City Revival House" which opened in 2018. Boocha, the first kombucha brewery in Edmonton, moved into the historic building in the fall of 2017.

The Tegler Building was a historic office building in Edmonton, Alberta. When it was built in 1912, at 15,750 square meters, it was the largest building in western Canada. It was designated a historic resource in November 1981 but then in a motion from city council that designation was rescinded. The building was taken down December 12, 1982.Robert Tegler was an entrepreneur and businessman who came to Edmonton in the early 1900s. He saw opportunity in Edmonton and decided to erect the Tegler Building at the corner of what was then known as Elizabeth Street and First Street (now 102 Avenue and 101 Street). The building site was located at 10189 101 St NW. Herbert Alton Magoon was hired to design a six-storey building, 100 feet (30 m) long, 70 feet (21 m) wide and 80 feet (24 m) high. Construction started in 1911 and was completed in early 1912. An expansion to the Tegler building was needed by 1913 and so Robert Tegler started construction on the third floor over top of the Edmonton Journal building, eventually building down to ground level when the Edmonton Journal moved. While the Tegler Building was taken down in 1982, parts of the historic building live on in The Tegler Foundation and its subsequent buildings. The Tegler Manor – constructed in 1982 – houses many of the original bricks from the building, as well as the mural by Ernest Huber depicting early life in Alberta which once graced the lobby above the elevators in the original building.

The Diocese of Edmonton is a diocese of the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert's Land of the Anglican Church of Canada. The diocese comprises over 126,000 square kilometres of the civil Province of Alberta, consisting of a band across the central part of the province, extending to the borders of the adjacent provinces of British Columbia to the west and Saskatchewan to the east. Its See city is Edmonton, and its roughly 7,000 Anglicans on parish rolls are served by 53 parishes, according to the most recent figures published by the Anglican Church of Canada.The diocese was established in 1913 when it was divided from the Diocese of Calgary (which in turn had been divided from the Diocese of Saskatchewan in 1888). The following year, the diocese was incorporated by the Alberta legislature. Edmonton is the major city within the diocese. Other communities are a mix of small, rural centres and suburban bedroom communities of the capital. A lay order, the Company of the Cross ran the Saint John's School of Alberta which closed in 2008. In the past, the school and order were specifically under the control of the diocese and bishop.
