Svanemøllen station

Zion's Church (Danish: Sions Kirke) is a Lutheran church on Østerbrogade, just south of Svanemøllen station, in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was completed in 1896 to a design by Valdemar Koch, making it the second oldest church in Østerbro.

Østerbro (Danish pronunciation: [ˈøstɐˌpʁoˀ]) (literally, "Eastern Bridge") is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located just north of the city centre, outside the old city gate Østerport which, after it was moved around 1700, used to be located close to present-day Østerport Station. From the beginning, Østerbro has been a wealthy district, and it remains one of the most affluent areas in Copenhagen.

The Royal Danish Defence College (Danish: Forsvarsakademiet; FAK) is an independent authority in the Armed Forces under the Armed Forces Commander's Defense Command, which provides training, research, advice and consultancy services in core military areas. The activities of the Defense Academy primarily target the staff of the Armed Forces, but much of the research is done in collaboration with other research institutions. The head of the Defense Academy typically has the rank of Major General or Rear Admiral.

Danish Defence Research Establishment (Danish: Forsvarets Forskningstjeneste) short FOFT was the consultative, guiding and promotion organ in the scientific and technical area for the Danish military. It was an independent institute under the Ministry of Defence. FOFT was located on Svanemøllens Barracks in Copenhagen. Established in 1970 as a successor to Forsvarets Forskningsråd, it had a status of sector-research-institute, on the same line as example Arbejdsmiljøinstituttet, Statens Institut for Folkesundhed or Statens Serum Institut. FOFT represented the Danish military in international research-fora, like NATO Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) or Western European Armaments Group (WEAG). On 31 December 2006 the agency was disbanded and the responsibilities transferred to Defence Materiel Service.

Poul Henningsens Plads station is an underground Copenhagen Metro station located close to Poul Henningsens Plads in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The station is on the City Circle Line (M3), between Trianglen and Vibenshus Runddel, and is in Zone 1. It is situated at the corner of Tåsingegade and Reersøgade with a main entrance that faces Jagtvej.

Østre Gasværk Teater is a theatre in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark, located in an abandoned gasholder house of the former Østre Gasværk (‘Eastern Gasworks’). The theatre is constructed within the masonry shell that used to house the gas holder, also known as a gasometer, proper. Built in 1883, it was one of the first independent works of Martin Nyrop, who would later become known for his design of the Copenhagen City Hall.

The Danish Society for Nature Conservation, in Danish Danmarks Naturfredningsforening, founded 1911, is an incorporated non-governmental organization based in Denmark. It works for environmental protection and biodiversity, improved environmental legislation, consideration for the natural environment in public planning, and public access to natural resources. The Society is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Its name has been translated into English in several different ways, including Danish Nature Preservation Foundation, Danish Society for the Conservation of Nature, and Danish Society for Nature Preservation, but 'Danish Society for Nature Conservation' is the English term which the society uses itself.

Svanemølle Beach (Danish: Svanemøllestranden) is an urban beach situated in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is situated in the bottom of the Svanemølle Bay, off Strandpromenaden, a promenade that follows the coast between Copenhagen's Nordhavn area to the south and Tuborg Havn in Hellerup to the north. Svanemøllen Marina and the Svanemølle Power Station are located just south of the beach.

The Tuborg Bottle (Danish: Tuborgflasken) is a 26 metres tall landmark shaped as a Tuborg bottle located close to Tuborg's former brewery site, now Tuborg Havn, Hellerup, in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Østerbrogade is the principal shopping street and thoroughfare in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It extends from Lille Triangel at the north-eastern tip of The Lakes, passes Trianglen, and continues to Svanemøllen station from where it becomes Strandvejen.

Østerfælled Barracks (Danish: Østerfælled Kaserne), later known as Østerbrogade Kaserne, was a barracks originally built in the 1890s for the Guard Hussars of the Royal Danish Army in the emerging Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Its grounds have now been transformed into a mixed-use development surrounding a pedestrian zone and is now known as Østerfælled Torv. Many of the old buildings have been retained while others have been demolished to make way for new residential buildings. The old main entrance to the barracks is located on the corner of Østerbrogade and Gunner Nu Hansens Plads.

Denmark–South Africa relations refers to the bilateral relations between Denmark and South Africa. Denmark has an embassy in Pretoria and South Africa has an embassy in Copenhagen. Queen Margrethe II visited to South Africa in 1996. President Nelson Mandela visited Denmark in 1999. Denmark has always had a very active development co-operation programme with South Africa dating from the 1960s, which was changed to an assistance programme from 1995. Denmark assisted with 4 billion DKK. Denmark remains a strong supporter of NEPAD.Cultural relations between South Africa and Denmark are established in, among other forums, the Danish Society in South Africa and the Nordic-South African Business Association.
