WLDN is an FM radio station owned by Synergy Media and is licensed to Ludington, Michigan. WLDN broadcasts from studios in Ludington, Michigan along with sister stations WKLA, WWMN, WKZC, WMLQ, and WWKR. It runs a news/talk/sports format and can be heard as far north as Copemish, Michigan, as far east as Reed City, Michigan, and as far south as Whitehall, Michigan. Under certain conditions, it can be heard in parts of northeastern Wisconsin and in Traverse City, Michigan. However, WLDN encounters heavy interference to the south from WFGR, which also broadcasts on 98.7 from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Buttersville, Michigan was a village in Mason County, Michigan near Ludington. It was established in 1880 as a company town serving the Butters & Peters sawmill. The Mason and Oceana Railroad, which brought logs to the mill, was built in 1886 and used Buttersville as its northwestern terminus. Buttersville had a post office until 1907.

SS Spartan is a railroad car ferry on Lake Michigan owned by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O) from 1952 through 1979. It alternated routes from Ludington, Michigan, to Milwaukee, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Pere Marquette Charter Township is a charter township of Mason County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,416 at the 2020 census.The township was named for French explorer Père Jacques Marquette. The township surrounds the city of Ludington on Lake Michigan, but the city and the township are administered autonomously.

The Mason County Courthouse is a courthouse located at 300 East Ludington Avenue in Ludington, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Culver Park was the park located in Ludington, Michigan, during the early 20th century that was used, among other things, as the local fair grounds. Culver Park was the home field for the Ludington Mariners during the late 1910s and early to mid-1920s. The park was demolished sometime after 1931 and is now the site of the Ludington Municipal Marina.

Stearns Hotel is a historic hotel in Ludington, Michigan, in the United States. Built in 1903 by Justus Stearns, a leading businessman in Ludington ranging from banking, lumbering, mining and many other endeavors throughout the Midwestern United States. The Stearns Hotel opened on July 1, 1903. For the first five years H.S. Read, a well known and accomplished hotel manager in Northern Michigan, was contracted to manage the building. It was known for being one of the finest furnished hotels in the area. It is remembered as being one of the first hotels in West Michigan to have in-room plumbing (hot and cold water), phones in every room (including long distance), automatic sprinklers throughout the hotel, and bath in nearly every room, which made it a high end hotel for its time. When built the hotel held 90 rooms within its three-story structure (and basement). The hotel had a beautiful front entrance with a porch. Much like today, the hotel advertised to have a beautiful bridal room (today it is referred to as the ballroom).The porch was replaced in 1974 by a one-story structure for offices or rental. Glen Bowden, the owner since 1965, then added on a drive up ramp to the second level. Stearns Hotel is also known for the Osawald Crumb Tap room, which was based on a character created by Robert Stearns.The Ludington Salt and Bath house was added to the west side of Stearns Hotel in 1904. The bath house was advertised to be connected to the hotel through a passageway and operated under hotel management. It was used for treatment of rheumatism, skin and blood diseases, kidney and liver troubles, nervous and digestive disorders and for general toning up the system. When described the house was said to have a front office area when walking through the front door, reception was to the left. On the right there was a hall leading to the dressing rooms. There were six dressing rooms, six salt baths and one fresh water bath. Also, there was a steam room, cooling room, hot room, and toilet room. The best feature was considered to be the 10-foot-high (3.0 m) gymnasium which was 20 by 40 feet (6.1 m × 12.2 m) on the second floor.The famous Stearns Hotel was also known for operating in connection with Hotel Epworth, now known as Epworth Heights.

The Pere Marquette River is a river in Michigan in the United States. The main stream of this river is 63.9 miles (102.8 km) long, running from Lake County south of Baldwin into the Pere Marquette Lake, and from there into Lake Michigan.This river is named after the French Roman Catholic missionary Jacques Marquette, who explored the Great Lakes and Mississippi River areas during the mid-17th century. He died in the vicinity of the river in spring 1675 on his way from Chicago to the French fort at Mackinaw.

The Warren A. and Catherine Cartier House (sometimes erroneously referred to as the William A. and Catherine Cartier House) was constructed as a single family house located at 409 East Ludington Avenue in Ludington, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, and as of 2023 operates as the Cartier Mansion Bed and Breakfast.

The Ludington Public Library is one of the two branches of the Mason County District Library administrative system. This library, as the main branch, is located in downtown Ludington, in Mason County in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The library started in 1872. The Pere Marquette Literary Club helped in the formation of a permanent city library. They took financial support from Andrew Carnegie to construct the library building, which opened in 1906. The building has since had major expansions and is still operational. The library has metal allegorical sculptures at various parts of its surrounding property.

The East Ludington Avenue Historic District is a residential historic district located in the 400-800 blocks of East Ludington Avenue in Ludington, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.
