All Saints' Church, Farnley

Farnley is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England, near Otley, West Yorkshire. The name "Farnley" indicates that the village was first established in an area heavy with ferns. It is mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book as Fernelai and Fernelie. To the south of the village lies Farnley Hall, a stately home built by John Carr. The house has a rich history, being associated with names such as Fairfax, Cromwell, and Turner. A selection of Turner's works from the Farnley Hall collection were sold in 1890 for £25,000.The primary school in Farnley is occasionally used as a location for filming the soap opera Emmerdale. When found as a surname the most popular is Fearnley; other surnames related to the area are Farnely, Farnley and Fernleigh.

Farnley Hall is a stately home in Farnley, North Yorkshire, England. It is located near Otley. The original early seventeenth-century house was added to in the 1780s by John Carr, who also designed Harewood House. The hall is now a Grade I listed building. The house consists of an 18th-century square block with earlier and later L-shaped wings at the rear and is built of coursed squared gritstone and ashlar with stone slate and lead roofs.

Lindley Wood Reservoir is located in the Washburn valley north of Otley in Yorkshire, England.

Cross Green is an area in the east of Otley, England, and the location of a multi-use sports stadium. The stadium is currently used mostly for rugby union matches and is the home ground of Otley R.U.F.C. It is on the eastern edge of the town, off Pool Road and is close to the new Asda supermarket. Otley RUFC has its own car park. Cross Green is also the home of Otley Cricket Club, the ground lies to the side of the rugby field. Otley Athletics and Otley Badminton Club are also based at Cross Green. Cross Green was the site for the famous victory of the North of England over the All Blacks in 1979 and again in 1988 when the Wallabies were the victims of a North victory. The ground was used as a venue in the 1991 Rugby World Cup when it was held in England, hosting United States versus Italy. As the stadium has a capacity of only 5,000 people, it was the smallest venue in the 1991 cup.Cross Green is the host venue for Music Festival LS21 Live! which is a summer festival organized by GeHo Events. Sheffield band The Reverend and the Makers were the 2013 Headline Act.

Prince Henry's Grammar School (Specialist Language College), also known as Prince Henry's or PHGS, is a secondary school and sixth form established in 1607 in the market town of Otley, West Yorkshire, England. The school teaches boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18 and has around 1,400 pupils and 84 teachers. It retains a high position within regional league tables. In 2016, Prince Henry's had the third highest results for GCSEs in Leeds. Also in 2016, PHGS was the best state school in Leeds for A Level results. The school has repeatedly received a 'good' rating from Ofsted with outstanding features, however has in the past received criticism for the state of the old school building. Despite the name, Prince Henry's is now a state-funded academy school.

Newall with Clifton (historically also spelt Newell with Clifton) is a civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. It lies two miles north of Otley in West Yorkshire. The main settlement in the parish is the small village of Clifton. Despite its name, Newall is no longer in the parish, and lies across the border in West Yorkshire. They are joined by Newall Carr Road, which runs North from Otley Bridge. In the 2011 census the population of the parish was 147.

Otley is a market town and civil parish at a bridging point on the River Wharfe, in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the population was 13,668 at the 2011 census. It is in two parts: south of the river is the historic town of Otley and to the north is Newall, which was formerly a separate township. The town is in lower Wharfedale on the A660 road which connects it to Leeds. The town is in the Otley and Yeadon ward of Leeds City Council and the Leeds North West parliamentary constituency.

Otley Museum is in the town of Otley, near Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1961, it holds a collection of objects, artefacts and documentary material relating to the development of Otley and the surrounding District since the prehistoric period. These include prehistoric stone tools and artefacts; an archaeological collection from the excavations of the Palace of the Archbishop of York at Otley; The Otley Printers' Engineers Collection; The Urban Development Archive, and an archive representing the Social History of Otley from the 18th Century onwards. The Otley Museum is independent, and managed and run entirely by volunteers. Until early 2010, two rooms in the Otley Civic Centre housed the museum's eclectic collection of objects depicting the history of Otley and its surrounding District from prehistoric times through Anglo Saxon and Viking era, into the medieval period, and documenting its development from a rural community to a Victorian industrial town, and into the 20th century. When the museum had to vacate those rooms, these artefacts were placed in secure storage.

Otley Civic Centre is a municipal structure in Cross Green, Otley, West Yorkshire, England. The structure, which was the offices and meeting place of Otley Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.

Newall (historically also spelt Newell) is an area of Otley in West Yorkshire, England. It lies on the north bank of the River Wharfe, across Otley Bridge from the central area of the town. The place-name, recorded in 1166 as Niuhale, simply means "New Hall".

Otley Bridge is a seven arch stone bridge that crosses the River Wharfe in Otley, England. The original bridge was completed in 1229 and has been repaired and upgraded multiple times over the years. The original structure was commissioned by the Archbishop of York in 1228 and is now a scheduled monument. In its present form the bridge carries B6451 (Bridge Street) over the River Wharfe, with two-way road traffic and a pedestrian walkway.
