The Media Centre is a business centre and a community of digital, media and creative and supporting industry businesses in the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield, England, with 65 managed office spaces and Flex, a dedicated co-working and hot desk area for freelancers and remote workers. The Huddersfield factory fire occurred on 31 October 1941 in the town of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, inside the H Booth & Son factory. The fire was caused by a smoker's pipe left alight inside a raincoat pocket when work had just commenced. It destroyed the building and killed 49, most of them women and young girls. Many were left trapped in the upper floors of the five storey building as it did not have a fire escape.In November 2012, a memorial was unveiled on the site to commemorate 71 years since the disaster.

Beaumont Street Studios (BSS) was an English nonprofit community music centre and radio station. Founded in 1985 by the Huddersfield West Indian Association, it closed in 2010.

The George Hotel in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, is a Grade II* listed building, designed by William Wallen, with an Italianate façade. It was built in 1848–50.The hotel is famous as the birthplace of rugby league football in 1895. Memorabilia recalling the meeting can be found throughout the hotel as well as in the Heritage Centre.

Pennine Radio Limited is a UK manufacturer of electronic equipment, transformers and inductors, ride on electric golf carts, sheet metalwork and computer equipment. Founded in 1958 the company started off producing radio receivers and adapters to enable the new band III ITV television broadcasts. However they soon expanded into industrial electronics. In the early days, they produced many innovative designs for the woollen industry which surrounded Huddersfield. Pennine Radio's Headquarters are in a Victorian grade 2 listed building on Fitzwilliam Street Huddersfield. The company currently manufactures golf carts, transformers, and offers contract printed circuit board, electronics assembly, and sheet-metal fabrication. The company is wholly owned by one family.

The Rugby League Heritage Centre was formerly located in the basement of the George Hotel, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It was the first rugby league heritage museum and was significantly influenced by Sky Sports presenter and former Great Britain international Mike Stephenson.

The Rugby League Hall of Fame honours the leading players of the sport of rugby league. It was established by the sport's governing body in the UK, the Rugby Football League, in 1988. Players must have been retired for at least five years to be eligible; they must also have played at least ten years within the British game. Players are chosen for induction to the hall of fame by a panel consisting of sports writers, broadcasters and officials.Inductions to the hall of fame have been sporadic. Nine players were inducted when the hall was opened in 1988 and one more was added the following year. In 1995 the members of the hall of fame appeared on postage stamps released as part of Britain's centenary celebrations. There were no new inductees until 2000, when three more players were introduced as part of the buildup to the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. A further four players were inducted in 2005, and four more in 2013 during the fourteenth World Cup. The Hall of Fame is located at the George Hotel in Huddersfield, where a group of northern clubs met in 1895 and resolved to leave the Rugby Football Union to form their own body, which led to the development of the separate codes of rugby league and rugby union.

The Kirklees EfW is a major moving grate incineration plant in Huddersfield, Kirklees, England. The incinerator is owned and operated by Suez Recycling and Recovery UK who signed a 25-year contract with Kirklees Council in 1998 with an option to increase the time period to 2028. The plant is integral to the waste strategy and Unitary Development plan of Kirklees Council, treating 150,000 tonnes (170,000 tons) of locally generated municipal waste, which when incinerated, will produce enough electricity to power 15,000 homes. Only 136,000 tonnes (150,000 tons) of waste is actually incinerated, the other tonnages permitted are recovered materials such as metals (for recycling) and Incinerator bottom ash (IBA) and Fly ash.The incinerator has been operational since 2002 and was one of the first waste projects financed by PFI in the United Kingdom. The plant, which employs 29 staff and operates 24 hours a day, cost £35 million.

The former St Mark's Church, Old Leeds Road, Huddersfield, was an Anglican parish church in West Yorkshire, England. It was previously known as St Mark's, Leeds Road, before the road name was changed. ("Leeds Road" differentiates this building from St. Mark the Evangelist, Longwood, Huddersfield.) This building was designed in 1886 by William Swinden Barber when the parish of St Peter's was split and a new building was required to accommodate a growing congregation. It was opened in 1887. Among the vicars posted in this benefice were the very popular Canon Percy Holbrook, the notoriously unfortunate Reverend Jonas Pilling who was involved in a standoff with his congregation for many years, the sociable Reverend Robert Alfred Humble who died in mysterious circumstances, and the eloquent preacher Reverend Joseph Miller, who had previously been a Congregational minister. The building was sold by the Church of England in 2001, and it has been converted into a block of offices.

Huddersfield railway station serves the town of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, England. The station is managed by TransPennine Express, which provides trains between Manchester and Liverpool in the North West and Newcastle and Middlesbrough in the North East and also to York, Scarborough and Hull via Leeds. It is also served by local Northern trains on the Huddersfield, Penistone and Caldervale lines, which between them provide service to Leeds, Wakefield Westgate, Manchester Victoria, Sheffield, Brighouse, Halifax and Bradford Interchange. Huddersfield station is the second busiest station in West Yorkshire, with Leeds being the first.

Huddersfield power station supplied electricity to the town of Huddersfield and the wider area from 1893 to 1981. It was owned and operated by Huddersfield Corporation until the nationalisation of the electricity supply industry in 1948. The power station was redeveloped several times: including the incorporation of new plant in the 1910s, and in the 1930s to 1950s. The station was decommissioned in October 1981. Another power station, together with car sheds and offices, was located at Longroyd Bridge which supplied the Huddersfield tram system with electricity from 1901 to 1940.

The Kingsgate Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Huddersfield located to the west of Shorehead Roundabout and East of the junction of King Street and Queen Street and Cross Church Street. It is currently owned by WD Huddersfield Ltd, a subsidy of WD Leisure. It opened in February 2002 after 12 years of planning and delays. The £50m pound complex took 18 months to complete and contains over 40 stores including: a Sports Direct, a TK Max and a Three Mobile store. On the premises there is also a 600 space car park. It is constructed out of 1,600 tonnes of locally quarried stone and more than 3,000sq metres of glass.
