Wodzisław County (Polish: powiat wodzisławski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland, on the Czech border. It came into being on 1 January 1999 as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Wodzisław Śląski, which lies 49 kilometres (30 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The county contains three other towns: Rydułtowy, 7 km (4 mi) north of Wodzisław Śląski, Radlin, 4 km (2 mi) north-east of Wodzisław Śląski, and Pszów, 7 km (4 mi) north-west of Wodzisław Śląski. The county covers an area of 286.92 square kilometres (110.8 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 157,346, out of which the population of Wodzisław Śląski is 47,992, that of Rydułtowy is 21,616, that of Radlin is 17,776, that of Pszów is 13,896, and the rural population is 56,066.

Wodzisław Śląski (Polish: [vɔˈd͡ʑiswaf ˈɕlɔ̃skʲi] ; German: Loslau, Czech: Vladislav, Latin: Vladislavia, Yiddish: וואידסלוב, romanized: Voydislav, Silesian: Władźisłůw) is a city in Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland with 47,992 inhabitants (2019). It is the seat of Wodzisław County. It was previously in Katowice Voivodeship (1975–1998); close to the border with the Czech Republic, about 350 kilometres (217 miles) south of Warsaw and about 150 kilometres (93 miles) west of Kraków, on the southern outskirts of the metropolitan area known as the Upper Silesian Coal Basin.

The Wodzisław Castle (Polish: Zamek w Wodzisławiu Śląskim, German: Schloss Loslau) is a historic castle and palace located in the Wodzisław Śląski, in south Poland. The old castle was built in the 13th century. The new residence Dietrichstein Palace (Polish: Pałac Dietrichsteinów) from 1745 is the oldest example of classicism architecture in Poland.

MOSiR Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Wodzisław Śląski, Poland. It is used mostly for football matches and served as the home stadium of Odra Wodzisław. The stadium has a capacity of 7,400 people. Its facilities include heated turf, floodlights emitting 2,000 lux, tennis courts, gymnasium, and office building. In 2007 Zagłębie Sosnowiec, 2008-2011 Piast Gliwice and in 2011, Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała began using the stadium while their own ground was undergoing reconstruction work. In 2012 it also hosted Pre-season two friendly matches Karpaty Lviv.

Wodzisław Śląski railway station is a railway station in Wodzisław Śląski, Poland. The station opened in 1882. As of 2019, it is served by Koleje Śląskie, Przewozy Regionalne (local and regional services), Leo Express and PKP Intercity (international and intercity services). InterRegio and Koleje Śląskie services are on the line between Katowice and Bohumin also Kraków – Chałupki. PKP Intercity services are on the lines between Warsaw and Prague, Budapest, Graz, Gdynia, Przemyśl and Vienna. Leo Express services are on the line between Prague and Kraków.

Radlin [ˈradlʲin] is a town in Wodzisław County, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, with 17,776 inhabitants (2019). Located in southern part of the Voivodeship, close to the Czech border, between 1975 and 1997, Radlin was a district of the city of Wodzisław Śląski.

The Marcel coal mine is a large mine in the south of Poland in Radlin near Wodzisław Śląski, Silesian Voivodeship, 260 km south-west of the capital, Warsaw. Until 1949 it was called "Emma". In 1995 KWK Marcel was connected with 1 Maja Coal Mine. Having estimated reserves of 76 million tonnes of coal near Marklowice and Wodzisław Śląski. The annual coal production is around 2.75 million tonnes.

Turza Śląska [ˈtuʐa ˈɕlɔ̃ska] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gorzyce, within Wodzisław County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the Czech border. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) northeast of Gorzyce, 3 km (2 mi) southwest of Wodzisław Śląski, and 51 km (32 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.

Rydułtowy [rɨduu̯ˈtɔvɨ] (German: Rydultau) is a town in southern Poland, in the Wodzisław County of the Silesian Voivodeship. Rydułtowy is in the south-western part of the Silesian Highland, on the Rybnik Plateau, in the Oświęcim-Racibórz Valley. A mining town, Rydułtowy has been closely bound with the 200-year-old "Rydułtowy-Anna" coal mine.

Niedobczyce (German: Niebobschütz) is a district of Rybnik, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. Between 1955 and 1975 it was an independent town On December 31, 2013 it had about 12,300 inhabitants.

The 1 Maja coal mine (Coal Mine 1st May; pol. Kopalnia Węgla Kamiennego 1 Maja) was a large mine in the south of Poland in Wodzisław Śląski, Silesian Voivodeship, 260 km south-west of the capital, Warsaw. Built in 1960, it was called "Mszana". Since 1961 it was called 1 Maja (1 May), in honor of International Workers' Day. It was one of the most modern and best coal mines in the Polish People's Republic. It was combined with Marcel Coal Mine in 1995. It closed in 2001. The coal mine covered 35.6 square kilometers, and coal production was around 8,400 tons per day.Coal Mine 1 May was the general sponsor of the Polish football team Odra Wodzisław Śląski until the Mine's closure.

Czyżowice [t͡ʂɨʐɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gorzyce, within Wodzisław County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the Czech border. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north of Gorzyce, 4 km (2 mi) south-west of Wodzisław Śląski, and 52 km (32 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The town fell to Nazi occupation during the 1940s as a result many children were forced to learn German at school and everyone was not permitted to speak polish, however following the defeat of Nazi forces, the troops retreated back to Germany and the people were freed.
