Hyndburn is a constituency in Lancashire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Sara Britcliffe of the Conservative Party.

Hyndburn is a local government district with borough status in Lancashire, England. Its council is based in Accrington, the largest town, and the borough also covers the outlying towns of Clayton-le-Moors, Great Harwood, Oswaldtwistle and Rishton. The borough was created in 1974 and takes its name from the River Hyndburn. It had a population of 80,734 at the 2011 Census. Elections to the council are held in three out of every four years, with one third of the 35 seats on the council being elected at each election. Both the Conservative and Labour parties have controlled the council at different times, as well as periods when no party has had a majority. Hyndburn borders the borough of Ribble Valley to the north, the borough of Burnley to the east, the borough of Rossendale to the south, and the unitary borough of Blackburn with Darwen to the west.

The Bee was a local radio station serving southern and eastern parts of Lancashire, England. On Friday 27 May 2016, The Bee merged with its sister Lancashire station 2BR.The station was owned and operated by UKRD and broadcast from studios at Clayton-le-Moors in Accrington.

Oakenshaw is part of Clayton-le-Moors in Lancashire, England. Thomas de Clayton was the first grantee of Oakenshaw in the middle of the 11th-century. A Calico printworks was established here (on Hyndburn Brook) by J Peel in the late 18th century.

The A678 is a road in Lancashire, England, which runs between the towns of Blackburn and Padiham. The road was formerly the main route between Blackburn and Burnley before it was bypassed by the M65 motorway which opened in the 1980s. It currently runs between the A6078 Blackburn Town Centre Orbital Route and the A671 in Padiham, via the small towns of Rishton and Clayton-le-Moors, having been extended at the Blackburn end when the A677 was renumbered east of Blackburn. Within Blackburn the road is a primary route. It forms the main route for traffic arriving in Blackburn from other towns in East Lancashire and West Yorkshire, as it connects the town centre with the M65 junction 6 at Whitebirk. The Red Lion roundabout at Whitebirk, where the A678 joins the A6119, with slip roads to the M65, had become prone to traffic congestion since the M65 was extended in 1997, and was recently upgraded with the addition of traffic lights. The A678 is the main road through Rishton and is called Blackburn Road, High Street and Hermitage Street. It crosses the A680 at a set of traffic lights in Clayton-le-Moors and then passes through Altham before it reaches the A6068, and then the A671 in Padiham. Although most of the road between Whitebirk and Padiham is bypassed by the M65 and is no longer a primary route it is considered by Hyndburn Borough Council to be one of the district's primary roads according to its Local Plan. and provides access to industrial estates in Altham.

St Christopher's C of E High is a Church of England High School with academy status located north of Accrington in Lancashire, north-west England. The school was founded in 1958, and in 2005, the school earned Technology College status. The Sunday Times ranked it 49th in 2007, and 30th in 2006, in its "Top 50 state secondary school with no sixth form" category. The school has received an 'Outstanding' inspection report by Ofsted. It now caters for around 1236 pupils, aged 11–18, drawn from the Accrington, Blackburn and Burnley areas, following recent expansion work, including a large sports building, The Ian King Sports Hall (named after Ian King, who was a respected Physical Education teacher who died in October 2009), and a new sixth form, officially opened in September 2010. Alasdair Coates served as headteacher for 21 years, from 1992 until July 2013, which made him the longest serving head of a church school in Britain. Richard Jones, formerly the deputy headteacher, took over the role of headteacher, with Paul Cuff taking the role of deputy headteacher and head of the Sixth Form Centre.

Great Harwood railway station was located in the south east side of Great Harwood, Lancashire, England on Station Road, which still remains. The station was on a branch line, usually known as the Great Harwood loop, of the East Lancashire Line from Burnley to Blackburn via Rose Grove, Padiham, Simonstone and Great Harwood.

The Crown Ground (currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Wham stadium) is a multi-use stadium in Accrington, Lancashire, England. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Accrington Stanley. Opened in 1968, the stadium has a capacity of 5,450. The ground was renamed the Wham Stadium as part of a three-year £200,000 sponsorship deal with What More UK Ltd. It was previously also named the Fraser Eagle Stadium and the Interlink Express Stadium.

St James' Church is an redundant church in St James' Road, Church, Hyndburn, Lancashire, England. It was an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Accrington, the archdeaconry of Blackburn, and the diocese of Blackburn until November 2015 when it was closed. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Church is a large village in Hyndburn, Lancashire, England, situated one mile (1.6 km) west of Accrington. The village had a population of 5,186 at the 2011 Census, an increase from 3,990 according to the 2001 census.

The Victoria is a Grade II listed public house at St John's Street, Great Harwood, Blackburn, Lancashire BB6 7EP.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.It was built in 1905.
