Reeb Avenue Center

Tosheff's Restaurant and Hotel is a historic building in the Reeb-Hosack neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was built in 1920 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The restaurant and hotel are one of few remainders of the historic Steelton industrial area, and closely connected to the eastern European neighborhood there. The industrial district was centered on Parsons Avenue, and relied upon the Buckeye Steel Castings Company, American Rolling Mill Company, the Chase Foundry and Manufacturing Company, the Federal Glass Company, and the Seagraves firetruck manufacturing plant.Tosheff's was one of the first commercial buildings, at a time when the area was still primarily residential. George Tosheff has opened a restaurant there in leased space by 1918 and lived directly above it. By 1923, the new building housed a jeweler, barber, men's clothing store, and a billiards hall. Tosheff's restaurant was located on the first floor, and his hotel on the second (the South End Hotel, later Tosheff's Hotel). Tosheff sold the restaurant near the start of World War II, and operated the hotel until he sold the entire building in 1965.The two-story brick building appears as two side-by-side, but was built and completed at the same time, and joints connect them. Behind the middle third of the building lies a one-story addition which held hotel rooms, part of which was constructed c. 1920 and part c. 1947.

Nagy Brothers Shoe Repair is a historic building in the Hungarian Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The one-story structure was built in 1932 in a vernacular commercial style. The building was historically used as a shoe repair shop and gas station.The building was listed by Columbus Landmarks as one of the city's most endangered properties in 2020. It was added to the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2022. In that year, Columbus Landmarks awarded the Nagy family with the James L. Keyes President's Award for the family's work to save the structure.

Dan's Drive-In is a historic diner in Columbus, Ohio. The diner was built in 1958, and was added to the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2018. The diner was deemed significant in representing the 1950s and 1960s, through to 1969 when mom-and-pop diners began to diminish. The structure was designed in a vernacular style, utilizing concrete blocks and metal. It is an excellent example of a mid 20th century drive-through diner, and one of few mid-century diners left in Columbus.

Southwood Elementary School is a public elementary school in Columbus, Ohio, part of Columbus City Schools. The school building, located in the city's Merion Village neighborhood, was completed in 1894 and was designed by David Riebel. It was added to the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2002.The school opened on December 3, 1894. The first principal, Mary K. Esper, held the position from 1894 to 1923. The next principal, Elizabeth Jung, held the role from 1923 to 1930. During the 1995 school year, the school celebrated its 100-year anniversary with numerous events. In 2007, the building underwent renovations. During remodeling, workers removed chalkboards dating to the 1930s-1940s and uncovered chalkboards likely original to the building. A few had chalk murals, and the Columbus Dispatch reported at the time that they might be preserved as historical artifacts if the school district permitted it.The school building was the first designed by Riebel in Merion Village. It was built in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, and features a monumental central tower. It is nearly identical to the Felton School, also designed by Riebel, built one year earlier, and demolished in 1990.

Saint Leo Oratory is a historic Catholic church and active oratory operated by the Institute of Christ the King in the Diocese of Columbus, located in the Merion Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The historic parish was founded in 1903, the current Romanesque Revival church was finished in 1917, the parish was suppressed in 1999, and the church was taken over by the ICKSP in 2020.

The Thurman Cafe (or Thurman's) is a cafe and bar in the German Village district of Columbus, Ohio. It was opened in 1942 by Nick Suclescy, and has remained a family-owned establishment ever since. Thurman Cafe is considered to have one of the best hamburgers in the country.

The Charles S. Barrett Building is a historic building in the Merion Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2006 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The building was completed in 1900 as the home of the city's South High School, part of the Columbus Public School District. It has since been converted into apartments, rented out as The Barrett. The four-story Italianate school building was designed by David Riebel, as his second school building commission in the neighborhood, after Southwood Elementary School. The South High School building was modeled after the now-demolished East High School at 1390 Franklin Avenue, designed by Riebel about a year earlier. It was redeveloped into apartments in the mid-2010s. A nonprofit housing agency worked with a local developer to build housing around the school building, with a total of 108 apartments and 22 single-family homes. The school building itself was converted into 52 apartments, and its 1960s addition was demolished.

Engine House No. 5 is a former Columbus Fire Department station in the German Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1894, designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style by John Flynn. The station was decommissioned in 1968. From 1974 to 2002, the space was used for a restaurant and bar, also known as Engine House No. 5. In 2004, the building was converted for office use, and today is the Columbus branch of Big Red Rooster, a marketing company. The station is one of two remaining Columbus fire stations designed by Flynn, and one of seven 1890s fire stations remaining in the city. It is a contributing part of the German Village Historic District, listed as a Columbus city historic district in 1960 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Two Dollar Radio Headquarters (HQ) is an independent bookstore, performance and event space, bar, coffeehouse, and a counter-service vegan café located in the South Side neighborhood of Ganthers Place within Thurman Square in Columbus, Ohio. It is locally owned and operated by Eric Obenauf — publisher of the indie press also based in Columbus, Ohio, Two Dollar Radio — and Brett Gregory, with Eliza Wood-Obenauf, and opened in September 2017. As a bookstore, they carry a curated selection of independently published literature, as well as their own Two Dollar Radio books.The café has a regular menu that uses home-made vegan meats, cheeses, and sauces in dips, sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, salads, tacos, desserts, and has a separate weekend brunch menu. They serve tea and coffee drinks using locally roasted and certified organic One Line Coffee, with plant-based milks such as oat, soy, almond, and coconut. Their full bar serves cocktails, wine, and beer, with a rotating selection of draft beer, including local Hoof Hearted Brewing.The venue hosts live cultural events such as author readings, reading series, film screenings, comedy nights, slam poetry open mics, and music from DJs, touring and local bands, and chamber music from local group Chamber Brews.

South High School is a public high school located on the south side of Columbus, Ohio. It was opened in 1900 as the fourth Columbus City Schools high school at 345 Deshler Avenue. The current building was opened March 31, 1924. The Charles S. Barrett Building at 345 E. Deshler Ave (named for that building's first principal in 1924 when it was reutilized as a junior high school) opened September 1900. Prior to that in 1895-1897 South High School utilized part of the Ohio Avenue Elementary School. In 1897 it was decided that the building was too far east for its name; the south side students were returned to the Central High School building at 6th & Broad Streets, and the building process began on the Deshler Street Building. It was known as South Urban Academy for a short time. The school is located at 1160 Ann Street. The mascot for South High School is the Bulldog. The school was remodeled in 2009 and classes were being held in the Barrett Building, the original South High School. The remodel was complete and classes resumed at the current Ann Street building in the summer of 2010.

Actors' Theatre of Columbus is a performing arts theater troupe located in Columbus, Ohio. It was founded in 1982 by Gary and Patricia Ellson, and was initially called Actors' Summer Theatre. Actors' Theatre presents plays by William Shakespeare and other time-honored playwrights, with relevance, to a contemporary audience. Actors' performs outdoors from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend at Schiller Park in German Village.
