Sainte-Adèle (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃t adɛl]) is a municipality in Quebec, Canada, and is part of the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality. It lies on Route 117 about 70 kilometres (43 mi) north-west of Montreal. Its tourism-based economy centres on its skiing and hotel industry. Sainte-Adèle had a population of 12,137 as of 2011.

Sommet Olympia is a ski school and resort in Quebec, Canada. The resort is located not far from Montreal, in the Laurentians. According to ski express magazine, Mont Olympia is "the best" ski mountain for beginners. The resort has 140 acres (0.57 km2) of skiable terrain with 6 ski lifts and a vertical drop of 200 meters. Sommet Olympia replaced a 1978-built triple chairlift by "a brand-new 4-seater chairlift with loading carpet", the "Apollo," for the 2023-2024 ski season.

Village de Séraphin is a former Canadian open-air museum inspired by the television drama Les Belles Histoires des pays d'en haut, with more than eighteen houses to visit, located from no 300 to no 350, rue Séraphin in Sainte-Adèle.

Ski Chantecler is a ski resort in the Laurentides region of the Canadian province of Quebec, Canada. It is a few minutes away from the town of Sainte-Adèle and one hour north from Montreal. 8 of the 22 trails are lit for night skiing. (No more night skiing as of the 2023-2024 season) The average annual snowfall is 381 cm and snowmaking is 85% over the entire skiable area. Events scheduled here include the AT & T Classic, Tournée de glisse CIME FM, Tournée sécurité de l'ASSQ, Journée démo casque, etc.

Piedmont is a small municipality within the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada, in the Laurentian Mountains of the administrative region of Laurentides. It is located along the North River and Autoroute 15 and Route 117, north of Montreal. Police services are provided by the Régie intermunicipale de police de la Rivière-du-Nord, which also serves Prévost and some other nearby communities in the Laurentians.

Saint-Sauveur (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ sovœʁ]) is a town and municipality within the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. It is in the administrative region of Laurentides in the Laurentian mountains, located about 60 kilometres north of Montreal. St-Sauveur is well known for its local ski areas, the biggest of which is Mont Saint-Sauveur. The ski areas market themselves jointly under the name of "Valley of Saint-Sauveur". Its proximity to Montreal, as well as its snow-making capability, night-time skiing, and après-ski establishments make St-Sauveur a popular destination for skiers. The town was the childhood home—from about 1946 to 1960—of Canadian musicians Kate and Anna McGarrigle. On September 11, 2002 the city was created from the merger of the village of Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts and the parish municipality of Saint-Sauveur. The current director general is Jean Beaulieu. The city clerk is Normand Patrice.

The Régie intermunicipale de police de la Rivière-du-Nord (French for Rivière-du-Nord Intermunicipal Police Board) was the shared police service of three (originally four) municipalities in Quebec's Laurentians: Saint-Hippolyte Piedmont Sainte-Anne-des-LacsPrévost was originally part of the police service, but left it on April 1, 2004, however the police service's headquarters remained in Prévost. In May 2009 plans were revealed to close the service and turn policing of the remaining three municipalities over to the Sûreté du Québec.On October 23, 2009, the Régie intermunicipale de police de la Rivière-du-Nord's policing operations ended at 1 minute past midnight. All the Régie's police officers transferred to the Sûreté du Québec, divided between a station serving the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality in Saint-Sauveur and the station serving the La Rivière-du-Nord Regional County Municipality regional county municipality, formerly located in Saint-Jérôme but now in the former Régie intermunicipale de police de la Rivière-du-Nord building in Prévost.

Prévost is a town within the La Rivière-du-Nord Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada, and the administrative region of Laurentides in the Laurentian Mountains, north of Montreal. It was created in 1973 from the amalgamation of the former villages of Shawbridge and Lesage with old Prévost on the other side of the Rivière du Nord. Shawbridge was named after William Shaw (1805-1894) who settled in the township of Abercromby in 1847 and built the first bridge over the Rivière du Nord.It is known for its cross-country skiing and for the Shawbridge Boys' Farm, a youth detention centre operated by Batshaw Youth Services. Route 117, also known as Curé-Labelle Boulevard, is the town's main street crossing the city from south to north. Autoroute 15, the Laurentian Autoroute, also serves the town. The city's main roads also include chemin du Lac-Écho and rue de la Station which both lead to nearby Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec. Prévost was formerly known as Shawbridge until 1973. Police services are provided by the Sûreté du Québec, the provincial police force. Shawbridge was formerly served by freight and passenger services of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The Prévost railway station is now a community centre and stop on the Parc Linéaire Le P'tit Train du Nord bicycle and hiking trail. Shawbridge and old Prévost were traditionally linked by the Shaw bridge, built in 1923 as a replacement for William Shaw's wooden bridge, over the Rivière du Nord. The bridge was closed by the Quebec government in late June 2008 as unsafe, forcing pedestrians to walk along the highway, but local residents and the town's mayor, Claude Charbonneau, have asked that the bridge be reopened, at least for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The Quebec Ministry of Transport reopened the bridge on August 28, 2008, but only for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The Prévost station (formerly known as Shawbridge station) is a former Canadian Pacific railway station in Prévost, Quebec, Canada. It now serves as a café and cultural centre for area residents and users of the Parc Linéaire Le P'tit Train du Nord linear park cycling trail, and is no longer connected to the railway network.

Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs is a municipality in the regional county municipality of Les Pays-d'en-Haut in Quebec, Canada, located in the administrative region of Laurentides. The municipality was founded in 1946 and was assigned the municipal number 77035 by the Quebec government. The Roman Catholic parish of Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs was founded in 1940.
