Central Lancaster High School (CLHS) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Lancaster, England. Located on Crag Road on the Ridge area in east Lancaster. In recent years, the school has been performing well below average. Only 26% students obtained a grade 5 or above in English and Maths in 2017, compared to the English national average of 43% and the local authority average of 44%.

The War Memorial, Lancaster Cemetery, was built to commemorate those lost in the Crimean War. It was erected in 1860, and designed by the local architect E. G. Paley. Its estimated cost was £120–140, but Paley made no charge for it. The monument is constructed in carboniferous limestone and consists of an obelisk on three steps. Its inscriptions include the names of the local men who died in the war. The obelisk stands 34 feet (10 m) high. The monument is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Lancaster Cemetery Chapels are the three chapels, each built to serve a different denomination, in the main cemetery of Lancaster, England. The chapels stand around a central point at the highest part of the cemetery. They were all built in 1854–55, and were designed by the local architect E. G. Paley. The chapel to the west of the central point served the Anglicans, that to the east the Non-conformists, and the chapel to the north was for Roman Catholics.

The former Lancaster Carriage and Wagon Works is located in Caton Road, Lancaster, Lancashire, England. The works produced railway rolling stock and trams. The buildings were designed by the local architect E. G. Paley. After the company moved its business elsewhere, the building was used during the First World War for the internment of enemy aliens. It is listed at Grade II, and, as of 2011, is in use as an office, warehouse and factory.

HM Prison Lancaster Farms is a category C male prison, located on the outskirts of Lancaster, Lancashire, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service, and is part of the HMP North Lancashire and Cumbria Estate (along with HMP Haverigg).

The Lancaster power stations provided electricity to the Lancashire town and city of Lancaster and the surrounding area from 1894 to 1976. The first power station was built and operated by Lancaster Corporation and started generating electricity in April 1894. The second power station was built during the First World War near the Lune Aqueduct to provide electric power for a munitions factory. When the factory closed after the war the power station was purchased by the corporation to provide electric power throughout its supply area.

St Michael's Chapel is the former Anglican chapel to Lancaster Moor Hospital, to the east of Lancaster, Lancashire, England. It was built in 1866 to a design by the local architect E. G. Paley. Its architectural style is Neo-Norman. The chapel is constructed in sandstone with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. Its plan is cruciform, consisting of a nave with a west porch, north and south transepts, and a chancel with an apsidal east end. The windows are round-headed with voussoirs of alternating red and yellow sandstone. Both transepts contain a rose window above two single-light windows. Since becoming redundant the chapel has been converted into flats. The former chapel is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Williamson Park in Lancaster, England, was constructed by millionaire James Williamson, 1st Baron Ashton, and his father, also called James Williamson. Its focal point is the Ashton Memorial. The park now covers an area of 53.6 acres (217,000 m²), having been extended in 1999 onto adjoining land, Fenham Carr, following a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The Lune Aqueduct is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Lancaster Canal over the River Lune, on the east side of the city of Lancaster in Lancashire, England. It was completed in 1797 at a total cost of £48,320 18s 10d. It is a Grade I listed building.

Lancaster Moor Hospital, formerly the Lancaster County Lunatic Asylum and Lancaster County Mental Hospital, was a mental hospital in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, which closed in 2000 (the mental health departments left in 1991, but others remained).

Beyond Radio is a local radio station based in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. The parent company (Proper Community Media (Lancaster) Ltd.) was awarded a Community Radio broadcast license by Ofcom in 2014 and launched at 10:35 am on Saturday 30 July 2016 (the time 10:35 was chosen to reflect the station's FM frequency. Following an online social media poll the first track played was 'The Boys Are Back in Town' by Thin Lizzy.

The Ashton Memorial is a folly in Williamson Park, Lancaster, Lancashire, England built between 1907 and 1909 by the millionaire industrialist Lord Ashton in memory of his second wife, Jessy, at a cost of £87,000 (equivalent to £8.9 million in 2021).
