Flint Public Library (Flint, Michigan)

The Flint Cultural Center (FCC) is a campus of cultural, scientific, and artistic institutes located in Flint, Michigan, United States. The institutions located on the grounds of the FCC are the Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Institute of Music, Sloan Museum, Flint Public Library, Buick Gallery & Research Center, Robert T. Longway Planetarium, The Whiting, and the Bower Theatre. The campus and some institutions are owned by Flint Cultural Center Corporation. The campus is 33 acres in size and is owned by the Flint Cultural Center Corporation. The Flint Public Library owns its own building.Flint Institute of Music (FIM) and Flint Institute of Arts are non-profits independent from the Flint Cultural Center Corporation, but lease their buildings from the cultural center. FIM consists of the Flint School of Performing Arts, Flint Symphony Orchestra and Flint Repertory Theatre.

The Sloan Museum of Discovery is a nonprofit, public hands-on and interactive discovery museum located within the Flint Cultural Center in Flint, Michigan. The museum has four interactive primary galleries, including a hands-on earth sciences hall, an early childhood learning gallery, a local history gallery focusing on Genesee County and the Flint area, and an 11,000 square foot vehicle gallery featuring rare and historic vehicles built in Genesee County. The museum, named in honor of longtime General Motors chief executive officer Alfred P. Sloan, also operates rotating special exhibitions and celebrations.

Flint Central High School was one of the Flint Community Schools, located in Flint, Michigan, USA. Flint Central was the city's oldest school. Its first building was built in 1875, and the school moved into the present building in 1923. It was called Flint High School until Flint Northern High School was built in around 1928. Approximately 2,000 students attended the school at its peak attendance, and about half that at the time of its closing. Graduation ceremonies were held at Whiting Auditorium. The school building is located in the East Village, near the corner of Crapo Street and Court Street.

The Robert J. Whaley House is a historic house in Flint, Michigan. The house was listed as a Michigan State Historic Site in 1977 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Applewood, also known as the Charles Stewart Mott House, is the former residence of Charles Stewart Mott. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Mott Community College (officially Charles Stewart Mott Community College or abbreviated MCC) is a public community college in Flint, Michigan. It is named for politician, businessman, and philanthropist Charles Stewart Mott. Its district is the same as the Genesee Intermediate School District and is governed by an elected board of trustees. The college offers 61 associate degrees and 40 pre-associate certificates. It also has satellite campuses in nearby Clio, Fenton, Lapeer, and Howell. The majority of students come from Genesee, Lapeer, and northwest Oakland County.

The University of Michigan–Flint (UM-Flint) is a public university in Flint, Michigan. It is one of the two regional universities operating under the policies of the University of Michigan Board of Regents, the other being the University of Michigan-Dearborn. UM-Flint is one of the five doctoral/professional universities in the state of Michigan. The university's enrollment is approximately 6,400 students. There are 138 majors/concentrations that apply to 12 Bachelor's degrees and 43 graduate majors/concentrations. UM-Flint also offers graduate degrees, including 15 master's degree programs and 12 doctoral degree/specialist programs. The university's colleges and schools include the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Health Sciences (CHS), School of Management (SOM), School of Nursing (SON) and College of Innovation and Technology (CIT). The university's student-athletes compete in intramural and club sports as the UM-Flint Wolverines, while an unofficial student vote in 2009 selected The Victors to avoid confusion with the Michigan Wolverines. In 2013, the Flint men's ice hockey team earned a spot in the ACHA Division III National Tournament for the first time, eventually advancing to the National Championship Game against the Adrian Bulldogs. The university does not offer varsity intercollegiate athletics.

The City of Flint Municipal Center is a complex of seven government office buildings located at 1101 Saginaw Street, 210 East Fifth Street, 310 East Fifth Street in Flint, Michigan. The area was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Flint Journal Building is an office building located at 200 East First Street in Flint, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It is now used by the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

The Capitol Theatre Building is a cinema and concert venue located at 140 E. 2nd St. in Flint, Michigan. Designed by John Eberson, it is an atmospheric theater designed to look like a Roman garden. The Capitol Theatre opened in 1928, and operated as a cinema and live performance venue until 1996. The theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. After its closure in 1996, the Capitol Theatre lay dormant for 20 years. The Capitol's historic character was preserved by the efforts of the building's owners, who maintained and heated the empty theatre until restoration work began in 2015. The Capitol reopened in late 2017, and is managed by the Flint Institute of Music.
