Shield's Crossing is a complex of buildings in the Hamilton County portion of Loveland, Ohio, United States. It centers on the historic home of Edwin M. Shield, which was built in 1868 under the leadership of Henry Crooks. A large two-story frame building built in the shape of the letter "L," the house was Shield's home from its construction until 1879. It is also known as the "William Johnston House".An early suburbanite, Edwin Shield built the Fulton Foundry near the present house in 1851; he was one of the area's leading industrialists. In the late 1860s, he began to build the present complex, which sits above the Little Miami River: besides the house, which he named "Christeen," the complex includes six outbuildings: a carriage house, a woodshed, a stable, a smokehouse, an icehouse, and a Gothic-styled gazebo.In 1982, Shield's Crossing was listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the name of "Edwin M. Shield's House." It qualified for inclusion on the Register both because of its historically significant architecture and because of its place in the area's history. Key to its historic designation is its place as one of the area's few remaining examples of 19th-century suburban house complexes.

Ertel Run is a stream in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is a tributary to the Little Miami River. Ertel Run was named after an early settler. A variant spelling was "Ertle Run".

Loveland is a city in Hamilton, Clermont, and Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 13,307 at the 2020 census. Considered part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area, Loveland is located near exit 52 off Interstate 275, about 15 miles (24 km) northeast of the Cincinnati city limits. It borders Symmes, Miami and Hamilton townships and straddles the Little Miami River. Once a busy railroad town, Loveland is now a major stop along the Little Miami Scenic Trail.

Château Laroche, also known as the Loveland Castle, is a museum on the banks of the Little Miami River north of Loveland, Ohio, United States. Built in the style of a Medieval castle, construction began in the 1920s by Boy Scout troop leader, World War I veteran, and medievalist Harry D. Andrews. He built the castle on promotional plots of land that were obtained by paying for one-year subscriptions to The Cincinnati Enquirer. Andrews named his castle after a military hospital in the Château de la Roche in southwest France, where he was stationed during the First World War. Its name means "Rock Castle" in French.For over fifty years, Andrews worked on his castle project. He pulled stones from the nearby Little Miami River, and when that supply was exhausted, molded bricks with cement and quart milk cartons.When Andrews died in 1981, he willed the castle to his Boy Scout troop the Knights of the Golden Trail (KOGT). The Castle has been extensively upgraded and renovated in the years since Andrews' death and has been mostly completed by the KOGT. The East tower now houses a short video presentation on Andrews' quest to finish his dream. The walls of the upstairs chapel feature many stones brought back by Andrews in his world travels and others sent to him from foreign locations by his friends and followers. Recently completed are an expansion to the outside gardens and a greenhouse. Tales of the castle being haunted – often coming from Chateau Laroche's own volunteer knights – have been reported over the years.

It offers a range of educational programs, including college preparatory and vocational.

Grog Run is a stream in the U.S. state of Ohio.According to the Warren County Genealogical Society, the origin of the name "Grog Run" is unknown. Locally, the name derives from the stream that runs parallel with the road. Grog Run Creek, as it is locally known, lets out into the Little Miami River right outside of Loveland, Ohio. According to a number of residents, there have been many Native American arrowheads and other artifacts found near the creek and the surrounding banks.

Loveland Park is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Symmes Township, Hamilton County and Deerfield Township, Warren County, in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The CDP is named after the city of Loveland. The population was 1,737 at the 2020 census.

Miami Valley Golf Club is a golf club located on both sides of the border between Fort McKinley (in Harrison Township, Montgomery County) and Dayton, Ohio, USA. The golf course was designed by Donald Ross. The club was established in 1919. The club hosted the PGA Championship in 1957, which was the last time the competition was played under the matchplay format. Lionel Hebert won the competition beating Dow Finsterwald. The match ended on the par-3 17th, by a margin of 2 & 1. The club was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Butterworth is an extinct town in Warren County, Ohio.A variant name was "Butterworth Station". The community was named after Benjamin Butterworth, the original owner of the site.It was located in Hamilton Township, west of Butterworth Road along the Little Miami River.

Branch Hill is an unincorporated community in Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio, United States, on the banks of the Little Miami River near Loveland. The Little Miami Scenic Trail passes through Branch Hill.

Twenty Mile Stand is an unincorporated community in southeastern Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio, United States. It lies on the old 3C Highway in Town 4 East, Range 2 North, Section 21 of the Symmes Purchase and in the center of the area known as "Landen". It is about three miles south-south west of Kings Mills, two miles southwest of Fosters, and twenty miles northeast of Cincinnati. A post office called Twenty Mile Stand was established in 1819, the name was changed to Twentymile Stand in 1895, and the post office closed in 1904. In the 19th century, the town was a stagecoach stop 20 miles (32 km) from downtown Cincinnati, hence the name. In April 2013, the original stagecoach stop, known as the Twenty Mile House, was demolished and replaced with a modern strip mall and gas station. The house had been a fine and casual restaurant, bar and tavern for generations.
