St. John's Lutheran Church (Zanesville, Ohio)

The former Zanesville YWCA, located at 49 North 6th Street in Zanesville, Ohio, United States, is an historic building built in 1926 for members of the Young Women's Christian Association. It was designed by Howell & Thomas. On July 17, 1978, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It is now Bryan Place.

St. James Episcopal Church is a historic church at 155 N. 6th Street in Zanesville, in the U.S. state of Ohio. It was built in 1843 and added to the National Register in 1978.

The Arlington Hotel was a historic hotel along U.S. Route 40 in Zanesville, Ohio, United States. Built in 1883 in the Italianate style, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It has since been demolished.An arsonist set two fires in the building in 1970, causing the evacuation of 43 guests. The hotel closed in 1980.

The Black-Elliott Block is a historic commercial building in downtown Zanesville, Ohio, United States. Located along Main Street near the Muskingum County Courthouse, it was built in 1876 in the Italianate style of architecture. The partnership of Henry Elliott and Peter Black arranged for the construction of the building; it was one of several significant downtown buildings for which the pair was responsible, along with such important structures as the Clarendon Hotel. At the completion of the building, each man operated his own business inside: of the 31 feet (9.4 m) of building front, Black's store used 16 feet (4.9 m) and Elliott's 15 feet (4.6 m). The building was built of brick on a foundation of sandstone; it also features elements of iron.Both Black and Elliott were prominent Zanesville businessmen: the Baltimore native Elliott founded the city's Elliott Paper Company in 1885 and continued to operate it until his 1899 death, while Black led the First National Bank. From its earliest years, the building was known as the "Black Elliott" block, even in published writings shortly after Black's 1878 death. After the two men's deaths, the most prominent tenant was the S.S. Kresge Company, which operated on the property from 1916 until 1977.In 1979, the Black-Elliott Block was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying because of its historically significant architecture. Key to this designation was its exterior: no other late nineteenth-century Italianate building survives in downtown Zanesville with so few changes.

The Alameda Apartments is a historic apartment building at the northeast corner of 7th Street and Elberon Avenue in Zanesville, Ohio, United States. Built circa 1910, the building was one of many apartments constructed during Zanesville's industrial and population boom of the early twentieth century. While the architect of the Gothic Revival building is unknown, it was most likely designed by Zanesville architect Harry C. Meyer. The two-story brick building includes a storefront on one corner and first- and second-floor apartments in the rest of its space. Its design features a bell-shaped gable at one corner, two oriel windows topped by small gables, brick corbels throughout, and dormers and brick chimneys projecting from the roof.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1982.

The current church was completed in 1842, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and was under the care of the Order of Preachers until July 2017.

The Muskingum County Courthouse is a historic building in Zanesville, Ohio. It was designed by T.B. Townsend and H. E. Myer, and built in 1870 with stone, brick, and slate in the Second Empire architecture style. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located at 4th and Main Streets. The site served as the capitol of Ohio from October 1, 1810, until May 1, 1812, and the 9th and 10th sessions of the Ohio General Assembly met here at the building that was formerly at the site before those sessions were returned to Chillicothe in May 1812. The former building on the site was then used as the Muskingum County Courthouse until current one was constructed in 1874. The 1809 date stone from the old building was incorporated into the new building and may be seen over the front steps.Townsend was also involved in the building of the third Tuscarawas County Courthouse designed by architect Thomas Boyd and Wood County Courthouse and Jail.

St. Nicholas Catholic Church is an historic church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus located in Zanesville, Ohio. The parish was founded in 1836 to serve the German Catholics of the area. The current Romanesque Revival church was dedicated in 1899 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.It was designed by architect Cyrus McLane and built by the Lorenz Construction Co. McLane was architect of the Rock Island YMCA, in Rock Island, Illinois, and of other YMCA buildings. The building has been destroyed.
