Loxley Hall is an early-19th-century country house near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, now occupied by a Staffordshire County Council special school for boys with learning difficulties. It is a Grade II* listed building. An early manor house on the site was owned by the Ferrers family and from the 14th century following the marriage of the Ferrers heiress, by a branch of the Kynnersley family (Sneyd-Kynnersley from 1815). In the 18th century a substantial mansion was built on the site, the main entrance front to the south having eleven bays, the central three bays pedimented, and two storeys with dormers. The east wing was of five bays. Mary Kynnersley was born here in the 1700s. Thomas Kynnersley was her father. She married into European aristocracy becoming Baroness de Bode in the nobility of the Holy Roman empire. She lost a fortune in the French revolution and died in 1812 in Moscow.Alfred Tennyson wrote the Locksley Hall poems after a mansion of the same name in Staffordshire, former country house of Thomas Kynnersley. In the early 19th century the house was remodelled and enlarged. A third storey under a hipped roof was added and the east wing was extended to seven bays.

Bagot's Wood is the largest extant piece of the ancient Needwood Forest, located near to Abbots Bromley, in Staffordshire, England. The forest derives its name from the Bagot family, seated for centuries at Blithfield Hall in Staffordshire. The northeast edge of Bagot's wood, which forms part of what remains of the former Royal Forest of Needwood has been designated as the Forest Banks Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Bramshall is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Uttoxeter Rural, in the East Staffordshire district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It is to the west of Uttoxeter. It has a new housing estate to the north of it. In 1931 the parish had a population of 173.

Grindley railway station was a former British railway station to serve the village of Grindley in Staffordshire. It was opened by the Stafford and Uttoxeter Railway in 1867 and closed in 1939. The Stafford and Uttoxeter Railway was purchased for £100,000 by the Great Northern Railway in July 1881 and the line subsequently passed into LNER ownership with Railway Grouping in 1923. Originally single line, a passing loop was added in 1887. Built in a cutting, the main station buildings were next to the road above, with the booking office on the main platform. Like most of the others on the line, the platforms were staggered, both accessible by cart tracks.Two miles further north the single line entered Bromshall Tunnel before reaching its junction with North Staffordshire Railway line to Uttoxeter.

Bromshall railway station was a short lived railway station in Staffordshire, England. The railway line between Stoke-on-Trent and Uttoxeter was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1848 and a station to serve the village of Bramshall (also known as Bromshall) was opened at the same time. The station was never heavily used and after only 17 years the NSR withdrew the passenger service on the last day of 1865 although the goods facilities were retained. In 1942, an ordnance storage depot was constructed nearby and new sidings laid to enable munitions produced at Cold Meece ordnance factory to be moved to Bromshall depot by rail. Between May and September 1942, a temporary station called Bromshall Crossing was opened on the site to allow construction workers to travel to and from work.

Uttoxeter Rural is a civil parish in the borough of East Staffordshire, Staffordshire, England, comprising the villages of Stramshall and Bramshall. It is separate from the town of Uttoxeter, and surrounds it to the north, west and south. The population was 1,567 at the 2001 census, increasing to 1,635 at the 2011 Census. Until 1974, there was a Uttoxeter Rural District that covered a larger area.

RAF Abbots Bromley is a former Royal Air Force Relief Landing Ground (RLG) located 0.7 miles (1.1 km) north-west of the village of Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire. The airfield opened during 1940 and closed on 31 March 1949 being the satellite of RAF Burnaston.

Chartley Moss is a 105.80 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Staffordshire, notified in 1987. The area has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a Ramsar Convention protected wetland site, and a national nature reserve. There is no access without a permit.In 1995 Chartley Moss was twinned with Tsukigaumi Mire, Hokkaido, in a gesture of goodwill between scientists from Hokkaido University and the University of Nottingham.

Gratwich is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Kingstone, in the East Staffordshire district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It is miles southwest of Uttoxeter in the valley of the River Blythe. In 1931 the parish had a population of 58.It is believed that the name Gratwich comes from the Old English ‘greot’, meaning gravel and ‘wic’ meaning “lying on”, so Gratwich means 'lying on gravel'. An alternative possibility may be “a dairy farm by the gravelly stream”. In the Domesday Book of 1086 Gratwich is recorded as Crotewiche. At that time the manor was part of the lands of Robert de Stafford. There was sufficient arable land for three ploughs. The recorded population was four villeins, five bordars and one serf. There was a Grist mill which brought in four shillings per year, and the manor was recorded as being worth 24 shillings per year. There was one acre of meadow and a wood half a league in length and breadth.The village church is St. Mary the Virgin's.Notable locals include native Ruth Gledhill (born 1959), journalist for The Times, daughter of the vicar of the time. Alfred Ronalds researched his renowned book The Fly-fisher's Entomology (1836) while living nearby at Lea Fields. On 1 April 1934 the parish was abolished and merged with Kingston.

Uttoxeter Town F.C. is an English football club based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. They currently play in the North West Counties League Division One South. The club is a FA Charter Standard Club affiliated to the Staffordshire Football Association.

Oldfields Ground is a cricket ground in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1905, when Staffordshire played Bedfordshire in the grounds first Minor Counties Championship match. The county played a further Minor Counties match on the ground in 1906, but after that it would not be until 1950 that Staffordshire used the ground again, using it as a home venue from 1950 to 1970. In total, the ground hosted 21 Minor Counties Championship matches, with the final Minor Counties match seeing Staffordshire play Durham.J Bamford's XI used the ground for first-class matches, the first of which was against the touring South Africans in 1907, the second was against the Marylebone Cricket Club Australian Touring Team in 1908 and the touring Australians in 1909.The last county match on the ground was the 1970 Minor Counties Championship fixture between Staffordshire and Durham. The ground is still in use and the pavilion is a listed building.

Abbots Bromley is a village and civil parish in the East Staffordshire district of Staffordshire and lies approximately 9.8 miles (15.8 km) east of Stafford, England. According to the University of Nottingham English Place-names project, the settlement name Abbots Bromley could mean 'clearing/wood frequented by broom'. The prefix 'abbots' was added because the village was held by Burton Abbey. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 1,779.Abbots Bromley was rated the best place to live in the Midlands by the Sunday Times in 2013 and again in 2016. The village is a regular entrant and often winner of the Staffordshire Best Kept Village Competition which takes place across the county each year. Originally organised by the Community Council of Staffordshire there is a best-kept village award for a large and small village in each of the county's Districts and Boroughs. Whilst down the years the East Staffordshire district prize has been awarded to Abbots Bromley on a number of occasions the overall county title continues to elude. In August 2017 the village won the double honour of winning both the best kept village and community council trophy award, a double not achieved for many years. This double was repeated again in 2018. In 2019 the competition was taken on by The Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Abbots Bromley won for the third consecutive year. Through the competition Abbots Bromley maintains a healthy rivalry with nearby Yoxall, also a regular winner in the East Staffordshire section. The village is world-renowned for its annual Horn Dance, an ancient tradition which attracts visitors from far and wide.
