Coney Island (Cincinnati, Ohio)

The Python was a D.P.V. Rides designed Zyklon-style steel roller coaster. It operated from 1996 to 1999 at Splash Zone Water Park, but was relocated to Coney Island at the end of the 1999 season. Following Coney Island's removal of all their amusement rides in 2019, the Python was sold to an independent ride operator - Kissel Entertainment, who refurbished the coaster and began touring with it in 2023.

Riverbend Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater located in Cincinnati, Ohio, along the banks of the Ohio River. It has a capacity of 20,500 (6,000 reserved pavilion seats and 14,500 general admission lawn) and was built for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, to allow them to play in an outdoor venue during the summer months. Its location is directly adjacent to Coney Island water park and Belterra Park. Famed architect and 2012 Driehaus Prize winner Michael Graves designed the building. The venue is owned by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, booked and operated by its subsidiary, Music and Event Management Incorporated (MEMI) and also partners with Live Nation.

California, Cincinnati is one of the 52 neighborhoods of Cincinnati, Ohio. Located at the confluence of the Little Miami River and Ohio River, it is the southeastern-most neighborhood in the city. California borders the Cincinnati neighborhoods of Mt. Washington and the East End, as well as Anderson Township. The population was 944 at the 2020 census.

Taylors Creek is a stream in Campbell County, Kentucky, in the United States. A variant name is Duck Creek. It is a tributary of the Ohio River. Taylors Creek forms the border between the towns of Bellevue, Kentucky and Newport, Kentucky.

Belterra Park, formerly known as River Downs, is a racino located in Anderson Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, just outside the southeast limits of Cincinnati. It is owned by Gaming and Leisure Properties and operated by Boyd Gaming.

The Combs–Hehl Bridge is a twin span single pier cantilever bridge carrying Interstate 275 (I-275) across the Ohio River. It connects the Eastern portion of Cincinnati, Ohio (near the Coney Island amusement park) and Campbell County, Kentucky. The main span is 219 meters (719 feet) and the total length of each bridge is 460 meters (1,510 feet). The bridge is named for former governor of Kentucky Bert T. Combs and former Campbell County Judge Executive Lambert Hehl but is commonly referred to by locals as the Coney Bridge since Coney Island amusement park is located at the Eastern end of the bridge, just after the bridge crosses into Ohio. Normal traffic makes it faster for commuters from Cincinnati's eastern suburbs to travel from Ohio to Kentucky on the Combs-Hehl bridge, travel less than 2 miles on I-275, and then take I-471 North into downtown.

California Woods is a City of Cincinnati municipal park situated in the neighborhood of California. The park consists of 113 acres of forest and has over 50 species of trees. The park is mostly wooded with hiking trails. It has one small building functioning as a nature center, primarily for school and other scheduled visitor groups. The building was constructed in 1938.

Silver Grove is a home rule-class city along the Ohio River in Campbell County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 1,154 at the 2020 census.

The Little Miami River (Shawnee: Cakimiyamithiipi) is a Class I tributary of the Ohio River that flows 111 miles (179 km) through five counties in southwestern Ohio in the United States. The Little Miami joins the Ohio River east of Cincinnati. It forms parts of the borders between Hamilton and Clermont counties and between Hamilton and Warren counties. The Little Miami River is one of 156 American rivers designated by the U.S. Congress or the Secretary of the Interior as a National Wild and Scenic River and lends its name to the adjacent Little Miami Scenic Trail.

Crestview is a home rule-class city in Campbell County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 452 at the 2020 census.

Silver Grove School was a pre-K–12 school located in the small city of Silver Grove, Kentucky, about 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Cincinnati in Campbell County, Kentucky. The school, which housed all grades in a single building, was located near the center of the city and operated by the Silver Grove Independent Schools district. The school sports teams had the unusual nickname of Big Trains (boys) and Lady Trains (girls), derived from the fact that the city and school were established in 1911 when the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad built a railyard in the community.By the 2018–19 school year, the Silver Grove district, one of the state's smallest, was plagued by both low enrollment and low test scores. Recent graduating classes had been in single digits, and even after a significant increase in enrollment in that school year, the district had only slightly more than 200 students. The district's average ACT score for its juniors (11th grade) in the 2017–18 school year was 14.8 on the test's 36-point scale, with only one other high school in the state scoring lower. However, only seven students took the test in that year. At a February 2019 meeting of the Silver Grove school board at which a merger with the surrounding Campbell County Schools district was discussed, one parent noted that 87% of Silver Grove students were in households that met U.S. federal poverty guidelines. During this meeting, one board member suggested that the Silver Grove district close its high school component but continue to operate a K–8 school.Later that month, the Silver Grove board voted to fully merge with the Campbell County district, which serves most of the county, despite resistance from many students, parents, and teachers. Within a week, the Campbell County district's board voted to approve the merger, and the Silver Grove School held its final day of instruction on May 16, 2019, with the merger of the two districts officially taking effect on July 1.

Salem Methodist Church Complex is a registered historic building near Cincinnati, Ohio, listed in the National Register on April 29, 1982. The Ohio Historical Marker placed by the Ohio History Connection in 1969 reads on one side, "The Church. Families of Salem Settlement first held services in Francis McCormick's log home. A log church was built here in 1810 on land McCormick gave for religious and educational purposes. A new brick church was constructed in 1828. In 1863 the existing church was built, the bricks from the second church being used for the educational building next door." The reverse side reads, "The Founder. Francis McCormick (1764-1836), who fought under Lafayette at the siege of Yorktown, founded Methodism in the Northwest Territory. His evangelical and pioneer spirit led him from his Virginia birthplace to establish churches in the wilderness, first at Milford, Ohio, then here, at his village of Salem. He rests with his family and followers in the nearby churchyard."
