The National Center for Meteorology (NCM; Arabic: المركز الوطني للأرصاد) is the national meteorological research and forecasting organization of Saudi Arabia, working under the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture of the Government of Saudi Arabia. The center was established in March 2019. The center is tasked with weather forecasting, issuing early warnings, and collaborating with other international meteorology institutions to employ the latest technologies. In addition to its meteorological services, the center is responsible for cloud-seeding to increase the rate of precipitation in Saudi Arabia.

International Philippine School in Jeddah (IPSJ; Arabic: المدرسة الفلبينية العالمية بجدة) is a Philippine international school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It serves levels pre-elementary through senior high school. As of 2005 it had over 1,000 students, making it the world's largest Philippine international school.

The International Indian School Jeddah, (Arabic: المدرسة الهندية العالميه بجدة; Hindi: अंतर्राष्ट्रीय भारतीय विद्यालय जेद्दा) formerly known as the Embassy of India School, is an elementary and secondary school for the children of Indian nationals in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with boys and girls taught separately in English. It was founded in 1969. The School is part of global International Indian Schools including International Indian School, Riyadh

His Majesty King Saud Mosque (Arabic: مسجد الملك سعود) is the largest mosque in the city of Jeddah and is located in Jeddah's Al-Sharafeyyah District. The Mosque was designed by Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil and was finished in 1987. It is mainly built of bricks and covers an area of 9,700 square metres (104,000 sq ft) with the prayer hall alone covering 2,464 square metres (26,520 sq ft). The largest dome has a span of 20 metres (66 ft) and reaches a height of 42 metres (138 ft). The Minaret reaches a height of 60 metres (200 ft)

Hala International School (HIS) (Arabic: مدرسة هلا العالمية, romanized: Madrasah Hala al-ʿĀlamīyah) was a K–12 gender-isolated English-medium multicultural international school in the al-Aziziyah neighborhood of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, active from 1991 to 2018 and served students across 24 different nationalities from the city, mostly the Pakistani diaspora. Established in 1991, it was accredited to the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and later with the Cambridge Assessment International Education. It was approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Saudi Arabia and was regarded as one of the best performing schools in Jeddah prior to its closure in 2018.

The 2009 Saudi Arabian floods affected Jeddah, on the Red Sea (western) coast of Saudi Arabia, and other areas of Makkah Province. They have been described by civil defence officials as the worst in 27 years. As of 3 January 2010, some 122 people had been reported to have been killed, and more than 350 were missing. Some roads were under a meter (three feet) of water on 26 November, and many of the victims were believed to have drowned in their cars. At least 3,000 vehicles were swept away or damaged. The death toll was expected to rise as flood waters receded, allowing rescuers to reach stranded vehicles.More than 70 millimetres (2.76 inches) of rain fell in Jeddah in just four hours on 25 November. This is nearly twice the average for an entire year and the heaviest rainfall in Saudi Arabia in a decade. The flooding came just two days before the expected date of the Eid al-Adha festival and during the annual Hajj pilgrimage to nearby Mecca. Business losses were estimated at a billion riyals (US$270 million). The poorer neighbourhoods in the south of Jeddah were particularly hard hit, as was the area around King Abdulaziz University. The university was closed for vacation at the time of the floods, preventing even higher casualties.

The Tomb of Eve, also known as Eve's Grave and Eve's Tomb, is an archeological site located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (21°29′31″N 39°11′24″E). It is considered by some Muslims to be the burial place of Eve. Prince Faisal, Viceroy of Hejaz, destroyed it in 1928. In 1975, the site was also sealed with concrete by religious authorities, who disapprove of pilgrims praying at tombs.Richard Francis Burton mentions seeing it in his translation of the Book of a Thousand Nights and a Night.According to the Islamic religion, Eve is considered the grandmother of humanity [Quran page 84, chapter 7:11–25] [Quran page 84, chapter 20:110–124], which influenced the name "Jeddah" meaning grandmother in Arabic.

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) (Arabic: جامعة الملك عبد العزيز) is a public research university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Established in 1967 as a private university by a group of businessmen led by Muhammad Bakhashab and including author Hamza Bogary, it was named after the country's first monarch, King Abdulalziz ibn Saud. It was converted into a public university by King Faisal in 1974 and is ranked among the most prestigious academic institutions in Saudi Arabia. With over 117,096 students in 2022, it is the largest university in the country. Located in south Jeddah, the university is the center of teaching and research of the city, comprising 24 faculties, 15 of these are located on the campus and 9 are off-campus. The university also offers some courses that are unavailable at any other universities in Saudi Arabia, such as marine science, meteorology, and astronomy.

The Qishla of Jeddah (Turkish: Cidde Redif Kışlası) is a historical edifice in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, built in 1525 to be a military castle of the Ottoman army. Today, the ruins of the castle lay beneath the Jeddah branch of the ministry of defense. Qishla (modern Turkish: Kışla) is a Turkish word meaning "barracks".

International Medical Center or IMC is a large hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and was built in 2005. The CEO of the Center is Dr. Walid Fitaihi. The IMC is a multi-disciplinary hospital that features specialty centers providing a wide range of comprehensive treatment options for different health problems. These services are delivered by more than 150 physicians in more than thirty specialties including Orthopedics, Cardiology, Oncology, Women's Health and Children's Health. The IMC was inaugurated in 2006 by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the late Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz after more than twelve years of extensive planning. In 2017, IMC bought 62% of Bait Al Batterjee Medical Company shares in Saudi-German hospitals across the region.

Danube Company Limited is a supermarket and hypermarket chain in Saudi Arabia. It is owned by BinDawood Holding, the grocery retail operator of hypermarkets and supermarkets in Saudi Arabia. Since becoming part of BinDawood Holding in 2001, Danube has grown to 47 current locations.

Serafi Mega Mall is a shopping mall on the corner of Tahlia Street and 60th street in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It hosts two gaming areas, In10So and MoonToon, that feature Arcade Games, Escape Hunt, Laser Tag, Kart Racing, Bowling and Archery. The building has a L-shaped layout with shops arranged along a central "spine". A 16,000 sq ft (1,500 m2) Danube hypermarket is one anchor. The other anchor is a six-story office building.
