Łódź Retkinia is a commuter railway station in the Polish city of Łódź, in Polesie district, on the outskirts of the Retkinia housing neighbourhood. The station is located on the Łódź-Tuplice railway between Łódź Kaliska and Łódź Lublinek stations. The station was planned as a part of Phase Two of Łódź Metropolitan Railway project, along with Warszawska and Radogoszcz Wschód stations on the circle line. An agreement to conduct the design of the station was signed on 27 December 2018. Construction works began in June 2020, and were completed in March 2021. The station was put into service on 13 June 2021.

The Łódź Zoo (Polish: Miejski Ogród Zoologiczny w Łodzi) is a zoological garden in the city of Łódź, Łódź Voivodeship in Poland. Established in 1938, it covers the area of 16,64 hectares in the district of Polesie and is home to 3,350 animals representing 554 species, including endangered Asiatic lions. The zoo is the only zoological garden in Poland to feature such animals as giant otters, Sumatran orangutans, false gharials, and bush dogs. The zoo is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is also part of the International Species Information System.

Atlas Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena in Łódź, Poland, opened on June 26, 2009 at al. Bandurskiego. It is one of the largest Polish venues with a seating capacity of 10,400, with an optional extra 3,000, it has 1,500 parking places and 11 VIP lounges (each with a terrace). The arena hosts conferences, concerts and sports events (e.g. volleyball, basketball, athletics and ice hockey). In August 2009, Atlas Group purchased the naming rights to the arena for a period of 5 years.

The Stadion Miejski im. Władysława Króla (English: Władysław Król Municipal Stadium), also known as the Stadion Miejski ŁKS (English: ŁKS Municipal Stadium), is a football stadium in Łódź, Poland. The stadium has a capacity of 18,029 seats.

Łódź Kaliska is one of the two main railway stations in the central Polish city of Łódź. It is located west of the center of the city, in the district of Polesie, and it consists of six platforms. The first complex of the station, designed by Polish architect Czesław Domaniewski, was built in 1902 in the style of Art Nouveau. Inside, there were several Art Nouveau elements, including crystal windows in doors, as well as brass fittings. The station served the Warsaw–Kalisz Railway, built between 1900 and 1902. On 28 September 1946 a major rail accident occurred at the station, in which 21 people died. In 1994, a brand new complex of the Łódź Kaliska station was completed, and has been in use since then. The station provides connections to all major cities of Poland, including Warsaw, Kraków, Bydgoszcz, Katowice, Poznań, Wrocław, Szczecin, and Gdańsk, as well as Prague in the Czech Republic. The station is the terminus of Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna (Łódź Commuter Railway), which serves towns in the Łódź region.

The Jasień [ˈjaɕɛɲ] is a river flowing through the Polish city of Łódź that played a major role in the city's development as an industrial centre in the early nineteenth century. Sections of the river have been regulated and moved to underground canals, while several ponds remain scattered across the city's parks in what used to be the river's overground corridor. The Jasień is 12.7 km (7.9 miles) long, beginning its course in the hills of the Stoki district in the northeast of the city at an elevation of c. 245 metres above sea level, and flowing down towards the Ner river valley in the southwest.

Stalag Luft II (German: Stammlager Luft II; literally "Main Camp, Air, II"; SL II) was a Luftwaffe-run prisoner-of-war (POW) camp during World War II, in Łódź, in the occupied territory of Poland. The camp was in the 21st Military District of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW; Supreme Command [German] Armed Forces, which supervised all POW camps in the Reich area and the areas of the General Government, Commissariats of the Reich in the East, Norway, Belgium, and the occupied part of France), administered by the Luftwaffe, which had its small network of camps for captive-aviators.It operated from February 1, 1941 to September 1, 1944, in the Litzmannstadt district – Erzhausen (a district of Łódź called Ruda Pabianicka, in the south-western area of the city), in the area within the current streets: Odrzańska (German: Wallensteinerstrasse; south-west), Retmańska (German: Paracelsusweg, from the north-west), Łopianowa (German: Schwertbrüderstrasse, from north-east) and Zuchów (German: Goldene Pforte, from the south-east).

The Prince Józef Poniatowski Park in Łódź (Polish: Park im. księcia Józefa Poniatowskiego w Łodzi) is a park in Łódź, Poland located between Żeromskiego, Mickiewicza, Jana Pawła II and Parkowa Streets. The area of the park is 41.6 ha (103 acres). It was named in honour of Polish general and statesman Prince Józef Poniatowski (1763–1813).

Łódź Lublinek (formerly Lublinek) is a small traffic railway station located on the outskirts of Łódź, Poland, in Polesie district, approx. 9 km from the city center, and in the direct vicinity of Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport. The station was created in the early 1940s by Germans as part of the wartime Program Otto, rebuilding the existing site of the railway crossing site into a pre-interchange stopping point. On the sides of mainline tracks, two additional tracks were created, along with signalling control buildings and living quarters for personnel. During the war the station received the name Nertal (meaning The Valley of Ner). In 1951, the station received the name Lublinek, along with two narrow side platforms set between the tracks of the station, beginning its passenger service. Two additional tracks were built in the late 1970s.The station serves ŁKA regional trains travelling from Łódź Kaliska station to Sieradz, and is a stopping point for freight trains, having 4 tracks for their needs. The only functioning branch line coming out of station serves an aggregate dump ramp located in Smulsko. An inactive branch track leads to a traction substation. Before the 1980s, a branch line to a pottery plant was served by the station; currently, the line is dismantled, and the only existing remains of it are rails crossing Maratońska street, located in parallel to the railway line, and a pavement following the earlier line of the tracks. The station is served by MPK Łódź bus line 68, running from Retkinia to Port Łódź shopping centre in Chocianowice (68A) or an intersection of Pabianicka and Dubois streets in Górna (68B). Despite being incorporated into the city of Łódź in 1988, the station did not have the prefix "Łódź" in its name until 14. June 2020, when the current name was introduced after publishing the new timetable. From 2020 to 2021, the station went through capital reconstruction.

Łąkowa Street is a street in Łódź, Poland, running north-south from Andrzej Strug Street to Adam Mickiewicz Avenue. It is located in the Stare Polesie district. Łąkowa Street is the southern extension of Lucjan Żeligowski Street.

The Chapel of Karol Scheibler (Polish: Kaplica Karola Scheiblera), is a major architectural work in Łódź, Poland, built in 1888 and designed by architects Edward Lilpop and Józef Pius Dziekoński. It is located in the Evangelical-Augsburg part of the Old Cemetery at Ogrodowa Street 43. Łódź is known for its architectural monuments which form a record of the city's heritage, particularly its unique nineteenth century development. The chapel and mausoleum of Karol Scheibler are noted examples of architecture from this period.

Łódź Żabieniec (Polish pronunciation: [ʐabiɛniɛt͡s]) is a railway station in Łódź, Poland, located in Bałuty district. It serves regional passenger traffic from Łódź Kaliska station to Zgierz, Łowicz, Kutno and Toruń.
