Spiš Castle

The ruins of Spiš Castle is one of the largest castle sites in Central Europe. The castle is situated above the town of Spišské Podhradie and the village of Žehra that with adjacent ecclesiastical town Spišská Kapitula form components of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2009, the site was extended to include the famous altar by Master Paul of Levoča and the historic centre of Levoča with many well-preserved Renaissance buildings.

Studenec (Hungarian: Hidegpatak) is a village and municipality in Levoča District in the Prešov Region of central-eastern Slovakia.

Spišské Podhradie (German: Kirchdrauf, Hungarian: Szepesváralja) is a town in Spiš in the Prešov Region of Slovakia. Its population is 3,775. Spišské Podhradie is situated at the foot of the hill of Spiš Castle. It had a Zipser German settlement, with its own church and priest, in 1174. Just above, and adjacent to, the town is the ecclesiastical settlement of Spišská Kapitula (hence an old German name Kirchdorf, meaning "church town"). The town contains a number of Renaissance merchants' houses. It also has one of the few remaining synagogue buildings (now disused) in the region. The Sivá Brada cold water spring is located nearby.

Spišská Kapitula (German: Zipser Kapitel, Hungarian: Szepeshely or Szepesi Káptalan) (both meaning the "Spiš Chapter house") is an exceptionally well-preserved ecclesiastical town on the outskirts of Spišské Podhradie, Slovakia, and overlooking Spiš Castle. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Levoča, Spiš Castle and the associated cultural monuments". The town consists of St. Martin's Cathedral (dedicated to St. Martin of Tours), a former monastery, and a single street, all of mediaeval construction and enclosed by a wall. The lower gate gives an extensive view of Spiš Castle, located on an opposite hill. Spišská Kapitula became the main seat of the church administration in the region in the 12th century. In 1776 it became the seat of the Diocese of Spiš (Szepes).

St Martin's Cathedral (Spišská Kapitula) is a cathedral in Slovakia. It is located in the town of Spišská Kapitula and is the cathedral church of the Spiš diocese.

Ordzovany (Hungarian: Ragyóc) is a village and municipality in Levoča District in the Prešov Region of central-eastern Slovakia.

Katúň is a small settlement close to Spišské Podhradie, Slovakia (48° 59' N, 20° 44' E). The settlement contains an ancient bell tower, supposed to have originated in the 12th century, which is a Slovak national monument.

Jablonov (Hungarian: Szepesalmás) is a village and municipality in Levoča District in the Prešov Region of central-eastern Slovakia.

Lúčka (Hungarian: Szepesrét) is a village and municipality in Levoča District in the Prešov Region of central-eastern Slovakia.

Bijacovce (Hungarian: Szepesmindszent; German Biazowitz/Betendorf) is a village and municipality in Levoča District in the Prešov Region of central-eastern Slovakia. The village is along the famous Gothic Route and the church dates from the 13th century. The church is gothic with a rotunda to match. There is also a manor house from the 18th century in Bijacovce. The manor house was built between 1780 and 1785 by the Csaky family. The last renovation of the manor house was in 1955. However, it currently is off limits to the public because it was turned into a school. However, next to the manor house, there is a park with deer roaming around it.

Hincovce (Hungarian: Szepesnádasd) is a village and municipality in the Spišská Nová Ves District in the Košice Region of central-eastern Slovakia.

Baldovce is a village and municipality in the Levoča District in the Prešov Region of central-eastern Slovakia. In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1272. The municipality lies at an altitude of 430 meters and covers an area of 2.2 km2 (0.85 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).
