Churston Ferrers Grammar School (also known as CFGS) is a selective coeducational Grammar School with Academy status, situated in the village of Galmpton in Torbay, South Devon, England. It is also a specialist Humanities College. Year 7 annual intake is approximately 130 pupils.

Churston railway station is on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, a heritage railway in Torbay, Devon, England. It is situated beside the main road to Brixham and close to the villages of Churston Ferrers and Galmpton. Steam trains depart several times a day in accordance with seasonal timetables issued by the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company with services north to Goodrington Sands and Paignton and south to Greenway Halt and Kingswear.

Churston Ferrers is an area and former civil parish, in the borough of Torbay, Devon, England, situated between the south coast towns of Paignton and Brixham. Today it is administered by local government as the Churston-with-Galmpton ward of the Torbay unitary authority. It contains the coastal village of Churston, the now larger village of Galmpton and the Broadsands area. The place-name 'Churston Ferrers' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as Cercetone, meaning 'church town or settlement'. The manor was held by Hugh de Fereris in 1303, according to Feudal Aids records, giving the second part of the name.Churston residents tend to associate mostly with Brixham, though those in the northern part of the Churston-with-Galmpton ward often think of themselves as part of Paignton.Churston railway station is on the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway from which steam trains run daily. It is served by the frequent "Hop 12" service between Brixham and Newton Abbot operated by Stagecoach South West. In Churston Ferrers is situated the well regarded Churston Ferrers Grammar School. The president of Churston Ferrers golf club is Ray Reardon, the Welsh six-time world snooker champion and former world number one snooker player. Churston Court, the former manor house of Churston Ferrers and today a hotel, is a Grade II* listed building situated to the immediate west of the parish church. Within the parish, off the Brixham Road, is situated Lupton House, a Palladian Country house. Both houses were seats of the Yarde-Buller family, created Baron Churston in 1858.

The Broadsands Chambered Tomb is a Neolithic burial chamber located on a slope overlooking Broadsands Beach. It is listed as a Scheduled Monument by English Heritage and was first listed in 1957.

Greenway Halt railway station is a small railway station on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, a heritage railway in Devon, England. It is situated near the northern end of the 495-yard (1,485-foot; 453-metre) long Greenway Tunnel and convenient for visitors to the Greenway Estate, the historic home of Agatha Christie.

Broadsands is a beach on the coast of Torbay in South Devon, England. It is also the name of an area of housing inland from the beach, in the Churston Ferrers part of Torbay between Paignton and Brixham. It is a tourist attraction, with a range of facilities and a large pitch and putt course on the adjacent headland. The beach is popular for fishing and watersports. There are good views of the Dartmouth Steam Railway, which crosses two Brunel viaducts near the beach on the section between Goodrington Sands and Churston.

Elberry Cove, also known as Elbury Cove, is a shingle beach surrounded by woodland and fields, that lies between Brixham and Paignton in Devon, England. It is important for its eelgrass beds, breeding grounds for native seahorses, as well as mussels that are farmed in the waters nearby. It is on the South West Coast Path. The coast around Elberry Cove is generally sheltered from the wind so is popular with water skiers. A ski lane is provided in the summer months. At its eastern end are the ruins of Elberry bathhouse, which was built for Lord Churston in the 18th century, when seawater bathing became fashionable after George III took a dip at Weymouth. Standing three stories high, with the ground floor being flooded when the tide rose, the lord could swim into the sea through a gated doorway, preserving his dignity. The buildings also held a "hot-bath" room where seawater was heated and pumped in. The cove features in one of Agatha Christie’s novels, The ABC Murders, as the setting of Sir Carmichael Clarke’s untimely death.

Churston Court is the manor house of the former manor of Churston Ferrers (anciently Cercetone (Domesday Book, 1086), Churecheton (Book of Fees, 13th c.), Churchstow, Churchton, Churchston, etc.), near Brixham in Devon and is a Grade II* listed building.

Lupton is an historic manor in the parish of Brixham, Devon. The surviving manor house known as Lupton House, is a Palladian Country house built by Charles II Hayne (1747–1821), Sheriff of Devon in 1772 and Colonel of the North Devon Militia. It received a Grade II* listing in 1949. The park and gardens are Grade II* listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.At some time before 1792 it was sold by Charles II Hayne, who had only lived in his new house for about twenty years, to the judge Sir Francis Buller, 1st Baronet (1746–1800), of nearby Churston Court, which he let to a tenant. Judge Buller had another residence, on bleak Dartmoor, known as Prince Hall, where he was a pioneer of moorland reclamation. In about 1840 the house was remodelled in the neo-classical style by his grandson, Sir John Yarde-Buller, 3rd Baronet (1799–1871; created Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton in 1858), to the designs of George Wightwick. In 1862 further alterations, since demolished, were made to the designs of Anthony Salvin, who in 1826 had designed Mamhead House for the first baron's father-in-law, Sir Robert William Newman.

Saltern Cove is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is on the coast of Tor Bay, south of Paignton, Devon, England. It is one of the coves which make up the local area known as "Three Beaches".

St George's Church is a Church of England parish church in Goodrington, Devon, England. It was designed by Edward Maufe and built in 1938–39, with later additions.

The Dartmouth Steam Railway, formerly known as the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, is a 6.7-mile (10.8 km) heritage railway on the former Great Western Railway branch line between Paignton and Kingswear in Devon, England. Much of the railway's business is from summer tourists from the resorts of Torbay, who travel to Kingswear, where the Dartmouth Passenger Ferry takes them across the River Dart to Dartmouth. The line is owned and operated by Dart Valley Railway Limited. This company also owns Dart Pleasure Craft Limited, which operates the Dartmouth Passenger Ferry as well as river and coastal cruises. The railway and connecting boat and bus services are jointly promoted as the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company. Unusually amongst heritage railways, it is a commercial operation which does not rely on volunteer labour or charitable donations, although a few volunteers help at Churston railway station.
