The Diocese of Wheeling–Charleston (Latin: Dioecesis Vhelingensis–Carolopolitanus) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory – or diocese – of the Catholic Church comprising West Virginia in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Baltimore. The current bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston is Mark E. Brennan. The diocese maintains two cathedrals: the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Wheeling and the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Charleston.
